Tenjo Hikari pondered, thinking about what he should choose. Just as he was about to speak, Tierra suddenly interrupted his thoughts.
"Tenjo Hikari."
"What's up?" Tenjo Hikari looked at Tierra.
"You should be quite familiar with what those choices are, right?" She didn't answer, instead asking another question.
Tenjo Hikari thought for a moment, then nodded.
Unless these people came up with some outrageous cards like the Wave of Light that he didn't recognize, Tenjo Hikari should be quite knowledgeable.
"Then, I suggest you don't choose the latter options."
"Why?" Tenjo Hikari was slightly surprised.
Tierra rarely talked to him about such matters, so her bringing up this topic must have a reason.
"You probably want to meet the Era-Defining Alchemist named Daitokuji again, but there are some things before that, you must address your final flaw."
"I have a flaw?"
This was the first time Tenjo Hikari heard this from Tierra.
Tierra raised her hand, gently drawing in the air, while mentioning several terms: "Fusion Conditions, Shaddoll with Light, El Shaddoll Construct; Fusion Conditions, Shaddoll with Dark, El Shaddoll Winda; Fusion Conditions, Shaddoll with Fire, El Shaddoll Grysta; Fusion Conditions, Shaddoll with Wind, El Shaddoll Wendigo; Fusion Conditions, Aleister the Invoker with Earth, Invoked Magellanica."
As Tierra mentioned each term, her spirits quietly repeated them, searching for the issue. After all the names were mentioned, even Tenjo Hikari understood Tierra's meaning.
It's missing!
Tenjo Hikari's "Six Elements" was missing one!
"It really is..." Tenjo Hikari stroked his chin.
Actually, Tierra had mentioned this issue to him once or twice before.
It was probably after Marufuji Ryo and Judai's graduation duel, when Judai's fame temporarily overshadowed Tenjo Hikari, that Tierra brought this up again.
Saying something like that human has almost gathered them all, while you're missing several.
Looking back now, what Tierra said makes sense.
Having a Fusion Monster that requires specific materials and attributes is important to both Judai and Tenjo Hikari.
Especially given the existence of "Super Polymerization."
In some way, this is also a form of practice for Super Polymerization.
While not entirely Shaddoll, the logic within is similar.
And right now, what Tenjo Hikari is missing is precisely the final "Water Attribute."
"Given this, Mr. Bartel, I'll choose Invoked beasts. Can I specifically challenge the Water Invoked Beast?"
"Of course—Lord Crowley instructed us that except for the Mage Domain challenge, all other selections are yours to choose freely. After all, you're a genius alchemist he's quite fond of."
"Moreover, we're quite under-researched about Polymerization, and we're thrilled you're willing to cooperate with us." After saying this, he chuckled and pointed two spirits toward the direction of reading, then asked Tenjo Hikari to wait for a bit.
Wanrong and the Cult God went to read, while Tenjo Hikari waited quietly. Bartel went to contact his colleagues, and after about ten minutes, he returned to the first-floor lobby and led Tenjo Hikari to the elevator, taking him to the third floor.
After several turns, they arrived at a large room resembling a Colosseum.
Tenjo Hikari observed and noticed heavy shackles piled around the room, with some mages busy enchanting nearby items.
A red-haired mage cautiously walked to the center of the arena, and other mages hurried behind the barriers after finishing their tasks.
It seemed that this red-haired female mage was the Strength of Prophecy.
She placed a thick spellbook in the center of the arena, shortly afterward, the sound of flowing water echoed in the room. She murmured incantations, and soon, a giant circle appeared in the air, followed by a blue arrow.
Babbling streams flowed in the air, a pair of red eyes slowly lit up, then the water transformed into a body, formed wings, and eventually became a giant Water Dragon, appearing in the arena.
"Retreat!" Bartel shouted beside Tenjo Hikari, meanwhile, Farse had exited the enclosure after the summoning.
"So your Invoked Beast was always sealed?"
"Invoked Beasts are special spirits that can't evolve through magic training, only naturally occuring," Bartel explained beside Tenjo Hikari, "So we can only use spellbooks to summon these beasts from the void that our academy once sealed or discovered."
Tenjo Hikari nodded.
During Bartel's explanation, the Water Dragon roared angrily, charging at Tenjo Hikari, who dodged its attack with a swift movement.
Tierra watched the commotion from the side: "Good, good, bite him—"
Tenjo Hikari rolled his eyes.
He swung his left hand, and the Duel Disk automatically expanded. Then, at the moment the Water Dragon turned, he swiftly drew a card from his deck.
Invocation!
He held the card in front of himself, causing the Water Dragon's charging body to instinctively retreat. The glimmer from Invocation made it slightly dizzy; moments later, it exhaled its dragon breath, stood aside, and looked at Tenjo Hikari.
"How is it, calmed down?" Tenjo Hikari casually returned the Invocation to the deck.
Currently, during the "Superpower War," he can easily draw any card he wants from the deck.
While not an extraordinary feat, it matches O'Brien's quick draw of bullets and Judai's summoning of the Neos level.
The Water Dragon rubbed its eyes with its claws, glanced at the surrounding mages, whose expressions were indifferent. They merely held their spellbooks, either recording its feats or discussing the Water Dragon's attributes.
It lowered its voice, growled softly, then looked at Tenjo Hikari with even greater anger, and roared towards the sky.
"I see." Tenjo Hikari quickly sensed the sentiment of this Kekutose, "Rest assured, I'm not someone sent specifically to battle you."
Apparently, the mages of the Magic Academy occasionally summon these Invoked Beasts for experiments and testing, so the beasts' perception of them is not great, hence the anger upon appearing, even leading to direct attacks.
"I am... Tenjo Hikari, a duelist pursuing extreme fusion and representing human duelists." Tenjo Hikari gently brushed his hand in front, the Super Polymerization Card on his chest gently swayed, catching the Water Dragon's attention.
After his introduction, he stated his purpose: "If you're willing, you can leave with me, avoiding further research and having a chance to explore the broader worlds of other dimensions."
"Rawr—" The Water Dragon roared skyward, countless streams gushed from all directions, converging before it, turning into cards floating in front.
"So, although being occasionally summoned is annoying, you can't just leave with me, right?" Tenjo Hikari nodded slightly, "Alright, I thought so. Well then... Duel!"
