His understanding was that he was himself, unrelated to any past life. No matter what The Supreme King was, the current he is the present him.
To make him understand a past existence that ruled and invaded others, to make him "comprehend" this person's inner heart, was something he could never accept, regardless.
"It's not about understanding." Tenjo Hikari shook his head, "Understanding and cognition is an exploration of his existence.
I know you don't want to become an evil existence, but understanding The Supreme King doesn't mean you have to mimic him.
For instance—I know the Fusion Army very well, but I don't emulate the Fusion Army guys, nor do I act like them. I use my understanding of the Fusion Army to sabotage their strongholds and dimensions.
You need enough understanding of them to know how to confront and handle them. You understand this, right?"
With that said, the entanglement in Judai's heart slowly dissipated.
"Makes sense. Just like your polymerization, not only must you understand yourself, but you must also understand and fuse with your opponent's monsters." Judai pondered, thought for a moment, and nodded.
"And the second suggestion is?"
"Learn to use The Supreme King's power."
Understanding followed by application?
A reasonable logical sequence.
But this point, Judai resisted even more than before.
When he was a child, due to some peculiar reason, the kids around him would inexplicably get hurt, and some even ended up bedridden. From a young age, he had resisted this "self power" strongly.
Now, he somewhat blamed the sudden injuries of his childhood friends on The Supreme King.
"The power itself isn't wrong. The method of application is what matters most." Tenjo Hikari continued, "Whether it's a power of justice or an evil power, it all comes down to the person using it.
It's just like, the Fusion Army and us in the Fusion Department, it's a simple principle."
Again, using himself as an example.
Judai's expression softened slightly.
"Even within the Lightsworn, there are Spirits so extremely righteous that they go crazy. Even among the Archfiends in the Dark World, there are righteous Guardians. There's nothing wrong with power; the errors lie with those who wield it and how they wield it."
Recently, the Wave of Light Tenjo Hikari encountered was a relatively evident example of this.
Like how when the Light Monarch obtained power, they slaughtered Spirits to enhance themselves, Jin being influenced by the Wave of Light became more extreme and anxious, Saiou was driven to split personalities by the Wave of Light, almost developing a second identity, whereas Ed, though influenced by the Wave of Light, didn't change internally, simply chose to give up and let himself go.
Listening to Tenjo Hikari's words, Judai pondered for a while and found it reasonable.
If...
If he could master The Supreme King's power, he should be able to protect more people.
And at the very moment this thought emerged.

First, he had no right to meddle in someone else's "personal" affairs. Second, what could he really manage in one instance, much less repeatedly?
He could help Judai when he was on the brink of collapse, but after that?
Tenjo Hikari had his own matters to tend to, and Judai had his own life and adventures.
Thus, after much consideration, Tenjo Hikari could only assist Judai by offering advice and providing physical and duel-based support.
If Yubel were to hide at the Critical Point and only act after Tenjo Hikari left for the S Dimension or after a long wait, he really couldn't do anything.
He also wanted to collect Polymerizations, confront Malt, and seek proof of the Mage's Three Sages; he wanted to explore the Mage's domain.
If Judai could handle things himself, understand everything, even if Yubel appeared, even if Yubel were strengthened by the Wave of Light, what difference would it make?
He admitted that the Yubel in the original work was arguably GX's strongest Spirit, able to teleport an entire island of humans to another dimension even in soul form, capable of controlling others, creating illusions, almost doing anything at will.
But ultimately, what it wanted to use, was still The Supreme King's power, and what it desired was still [Super Polymerization].
Judai crossed his arms.
He recalled everything he'd seen and heard today, the duel with Dragon Overlord, the words of the Lightsworn...
"If that's the case, it's acceptable too." Judai was persuaded by Tenjo Hikari.
"But, how do I do it?" Judai looked at Tenjo Hikari, "I've never heard anything about The Supreme King."
"Indeed..." Jim nodded, "Even if Judai wants to understand, there's no way to learn about The Supreme King, right?"
Books?
Obviously, the Spirits didn't have records about The Supreme King.
Ask the Archfiends of the Dark World? They'd definitely lean towards The Supreme King, wouldn't speak the truth completely, wouldn't be objective.
And the power was even more perplexing.
Even if the intent was to obtain The Supreme King's power, how would one even go about it?
Judai now, had only awakened part of his power, and didn't even know how to deeply control it.
"Hehe." Seeing Judai's curiosity, Tenjo Hikari finally brought out something he'd been learning and researching to create during this time.

During this period, Tenjo Hikari had been studying and researching, trying to extract the "The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion" from Armityle the Chaos Phantasm.
Though up till now, there hasn't been a genuine result.
But the by-products of this period's study have been plentiful.
