Chapter 473 - Chapter 56: Bait_4

But Kakashi also had his own shortcomings, which were being too reliant on Taijutsu and Swordsmanship. Even the Lightning Style Ninjutsu he developed was for close range, suitable for thrusting attacks on single targets.

Therefore, he needed to work hard to make up for these deficiencies.

The areas where Kakashi was not skilled would be filled by him.

Ninja Techniques and Illusion Techniques were the forte of the Sharingan.

He believed that with the awakening of his Sharingan, as long as he was determined to keep training, one day he would catch up with Kakashi, fighting alongside him, no longer being the 'dead last' in his words.

"Obito, are you training here?"

Rin's voice came from behind.

"Rin, what brings you here?"

Obito temporarily halted his Fire Style Ninjutsu training, turned around, and saw Rin approaching him.

She was holding a medical kit, an essential item she carried with her at all times.

As a Medical Ninja, she needed to be equipped with these things at all times to treat the injured.

"I came to check on your training to prevent you from injuring yourself from over-exertion. That Sharingan must consume a lot of Chakra, right?"

Rin thought for a moment and said.

"It does consume some Chakra, so I can't keep it activated for long, or else my brain gets dizzy. But I'll be careful."

Obito didn't hide the fact.

After activating the Sharingan, he realized how challenging it was to maintain it for long periods.

As a Chunin, his Chakra was limited, and even though it increased after activation, it still required a lot of Chakra to keep the Sharingan active.

If he needed to see through enemy movements or use Illusion Techniques, the Chakra consumption would increase even more.

"Obito, you go ahead and train. I won't disturb you from the side."

There was nothing much to do in the camp since there were few wounded recently, so Rin had the free time to do her own things.

She decided to accompany Obito here while he trained.

She also wanted to refine her Chakra Control to better perform Medical Ninjutsu.

Rin took out a somewhat old notebook from her Ninja Tool Bag, but the writing inside was very clear.

These were notes she made during Ninja School.

There were medical ninjutsu experiences from one of the Konoha Sannin, Jonin Tsunade, and from another person...

Thinking of this, Rin sighed.

Why did Senior Hakushi defect from the village at that time?

According to some rumors in the village, it seemed to be related to Kakashi's father, the ninja known as the 'Konoha White Fang.'

But this matter was too sensitive, so it was hardly discussed in the village now.

As a Medical Ninja with little combat power, Rin felt that her words carried little weight, and it wasn't right for her to get involved in the rights and wrongs of this.

For those in the higher ranks, it could easily shake their leadership.

Rin put away these complex thoughts and began to seriously review her notes.

Despite being notes from her time at the Ninja School, they still provided her with lots of inspiration.

The difference was that what Hakushi taught her was basic, while Tsunade's was further expansion, both providing excellent guidance for her.

Obito exhaled. After a morning of practice, he felt his Fire Style Ninjutsu had improved significantly.

But it was not enough; although the power of his Fire Style technique was sufficient, the speed of his attacks was not quick enough. Even a Chunin of the same level could easily dodge if they were cautious enough.

Therefore, figuring out how to effectively increase his Fire Style Ninjutsu's attack speed was of utmost importance.

At the same time, he needed to streamline the Sealing techniques for faster release of Ninja Techniques.

Looking at the time, it was almost noon, so he decided to have lunch first and continue delving into the Fire Style techniques in the afternoon.

"Rin, we..."

Obito turned around, about to call Rin to go back for a meal.

Then his words stopped.

The atmosphere in the forest was very tranquil, with a gentle breeze blowing through the woods, making the otherwise hot summer become incredibly pleasant and refreshing.

Under the soft and mottled light, Rin sat peacefully leaning against a tree, her profile's skin shimmering with a crystal glow. Her serious expression while reading the notes made Obito's heart start to race uncontrollably.

It felt like a young deer rampaging inside his heart, his face slightly flushed, stopping his words, unwilling to spoil this serene beauty.

He wanted to preserve this moment forever, to treasure it in his memories.

He finally knew why he liked Rin so much.

"Obito."

The voice came to his ear, and Obito seemed not to hear it, only staring at a certain spot with a silly smile.

"Obito."

Once again, a soft and concerned voice reached his ears, waking Obito as if from a dream.

"Huh? What is it, Rin?"

Obito snapped back to reality, not realizing when Rin had already stood beside him.

"I was just wondering about you; I called you several times, but you didn't respond."

"Oh, I was just thinking about my training earlier."

Obito's face tinted slightly with embarrassment, unwilling to admit that he was daydreaming.

"It's about time. Let's go eat."

"Alright, I'll just pack up a bit."

Obito walked to the side, beginning to tidy up the things he brought, which were some handy little tools for his training.

While he was gathering these things, a sudden panicked cry from Rin behind startled him.

"Ah! What is this!?"

Obito's heart thudded as he turned his head, only to see the ground beneath Rin's feet suddenly turning into a soft, swampy bog, with Rin's body steadily sinking.

"This is bad! Rin, grab my hand quickly! I'll pull you up!"

Seeing this, Obito dashed towards Rin, reaching out to pull her out.
