Chapter 254 - Chapter 253: A Completely Different Life

Milcery is inherently an amorphous evolution, with some even emerging as entirely new types never seen before, leading to their current new forms.

Vanilla chocolate, lemon mint, creamy matcha—three Alcremie colors representing three distinctly different flavors.

Although they can't float around as they did before evolving, their newfound limbs make movement just as easy.

The palms of Alcremie can freely produce cream, and the newly evolved ones went on a wild playtime with the kids who witnessed their evolution, which left everyone with a cloth and bucket in hand shortly after.

In a way, Yamato and Jack initiated the world's first Pokemon battle, where the battle strategy was everyone throwing cream at each other.

The cream itself wasn't harmful, but it did leave cream splattered everywhere.

Cleaning the cream off the walls became their next task, even Robin on the side got involved, despite not having an Alcremie, the flying cream didn't spare her.

Jack and Yamato took on the floors and the lower walls, while Maria and Robin handled the higher walls and ceilings.

One of them utilized the Spider-Spider Fruit to climb, and the other extended numerous arms through the Flower-Flower Fruit.

For ordinary kids, this chore might provoke complaints of exhaustion, but for these kids, it's a non-issue. Compared to Kaidou's training and usual physical exercises, this work was insignificant.

Yet, what was insignificant physically required meticulous attention to clean every nook and cranny spotlessly.

However, during the cleaning, Yamato noticed something unusual.

"Robin, why are you smiling?"

"Smiling? Am I smiling?"

"Of course, the smile on your face hasn't disappeared."

Robin found housework much easier than the others; while they were running around with cloths, she only needed to stand still and activate her ability.

Dozens of cloths worked simultaneously, and after cleaning an area, she would simply summon new arms with her ability.

"Because... it's fun?"

"Fun? You have quite the strange hobby."

In fact, it wasn't strange; she had gained what her childhood lacked. While living with Olvia's brother, she didn't shy away from doing housework, as Olvia's brother indeed took care of Robin.

But over time, things changed; they hadn't expected Olvia to be gone for six years.

Although Olvia's brother didn't throw Robin out, his wife's complaints began to make him feel that Robin was a drag, and the daily housework never lessened.

Doing chores alone versus playfully doing them here were worlds apart, and she seemed to understand what having peers her age felt like.

Here, no one found her abilities freakish or bizarre.

Interesting, practical, and useful abilities were the evaluations she received.

The culture within Hundred Beasts was still primarily competitive, though softened somewhat, where strength was something others admired, as long as competition existed.

After cleaning, Yamato and Maria headed to the top-level officer's bath, while Jack went to the large bathhouse downstairs, and Robin returned to the Sky Island as dusk fell.

...

At the edge of the Sky Island, Saul, wearing a large Straw Hat, gazed at the distant sunset. The scholars were safe, but their freedom was somewhat restricted.

This was his view from the beginning; he believed the scholars broke the law but did not deserve death, supervised research would suffice, yet now pirates were undertaking such tasks.

Hundred Beasts told him he couldn't leave here anytime soon, and he accepted that, understanding the situation clearly.

The basic lifespan of the Giant Race was three hundred years, so spending some time here didn't matter; he planned to watch over Robin until she grew up, and he didn't want Robin filled with pirate ideologies.

With not much else to do on the Sky Island, his daily routine was watching the sunset and pondering life, recently acquiring some philosophy books from the newly established library to study human nature.

All living conditions on the Sky Island were met, and at the scholars' request, the Hundred Beasts Pirate Group installed a large clock on the Sky Island to indicate the time.

Watching the hour hand approach seven, Saul knew Robin would return soon.

Minutes later, a Thousand-Year Dragon burst through the clouds below the Sky Island, bringing Robin back.

Those clouds were not ordinary clouds but newly generated sea clouds. Normal clouds in the sky and Sky Island's clouds were different expressions of clouds, and sea clouds near Island Cloud would eventually evaporate and disappear.

However, the nature of Island Cloud caused it to gather normal clouds and convert them into sea clouds; without surprise, new sea clouds would form around this Little Sky Island in a few years.

"Saul! I'm back!"

"Did you have fun?"

"Yes, playing with those creatures called Pokemon here is incredibly interesting..."

This was something Saul didn't expect; no one in Hundred Beasts imposed any ideology on Robin, merely allowing her to play with Yamato and the others, even participating in some training if she wanted.

In Hundred Beasts' view, such impositions were unnecessary; subtle influence was sufficient, as youthful friendship would influence many things without needing to rush.

And within the New Tree of Omniscience Library, Olvia prepared dinner awaiting Robin's return. The gigantic vines spawned by Arceus not only tethered this Sky Island but extended significantly.

With Saul's help, the scholars hollowed out part of the vine, storing the books again, with many residing directly within it.

More houses were being built around, although mostly tents or similar structures, as they had no experience building on Island Cloud of the Sky Island.

The foundation of the Sky Island differed completely from that on ordinary soil; until the appropriate experts arrived, they could only learn from the Shandia People and pitch tents.

Coincidentally, those collecting shells from Angel Island had already set out, and they received orders from Arceus to learn house construction from them or directly bring back people who could build houses.

They lived in treehouses and tents, but everything else was fine, with some rooms already lit. This differed from Wano Kuni below entirely.

This season, darkness fell later in Wano Kuni, but it was already nearing darkness, yet most places lacked artificial illumination...
