Chapter 191 - Chapter 190: Yamato’s Few Remaining Good Days

"Bidoo~ bidoo~" A few Muk waved their hands at him, signifying he should handle things himself and not disturb their snacking.

Muk's bodies are made up of toxic sludge, and unless attacked by the skills of other Pokemon, normal physical attacks wouldn't harm them. Their bodies are quite similar to Caribou, who ate the Swamp-Swamp Fruit.

This wasn't the first time Queen had done this; these Muk liked this "nice guy" who always brought them sweets, so they let Queen do as he pleased.

Queen then chose a few of the most brightly colored ones and extracted some of the bizarrely colored liquid from each Muk, sealing it in a bottle.

Due to differences in individual consumption, the proportion of toxins within each Muk was slightly different, but when mixed, the effect was strongest.

The liquid looked colorful, but it was actually a weapon of mass destruction; if he wasn't careful, he could get caught by it himself, which is why he always carried the original Pecha Berry. The commercial version tasted good, but only the original could detoxify.

He then collected some of the toxic crystals that had fallen from the Muk and prepared to leave.

"Alright, you can carry on, I'm leaving now."

"Bidoo~"

The Muk's heads rotated 180 degrees to bid farewell to Queen, while on Ghost Island, preparations for the Origin's journey were complete.

However, just before departure, Yamato was being scolded.

To be precise, it wasn't just her; Jack and Maria stood by her side, though it was clear Yamato was the mastermind.

In the Beast Pirates' external affairs office, many documents were scattered around. Being among the few children on Ghost Island, the three of them were naturally familiar and often played together.

Despite Maria and Jack having the advantage in height and age, Yamato was the leader among the three, being Kaidou's biological daughter and Arceus's adopted daughter. Only she dared to run to this place.

"Yamato, haven't I told you there are places you're not allowed to run around?"

"I'm sorry, godfather, I got caught up in playing and forgot..."

It was just a simple game of hide-and-seek, though it spanned across the entire Ghost Island. The building, spacious enough for the Giant Race to move around in, was quite empty for three children. Unable to find anyone, Yamato hadn't paid attention to the room she barged into.

Accidentally knocking documents off the table, Shaina had originally been there, but she had just left with Arceus to check on the Origin, which allowed Yamato to enter.

"Tidy up this place. You two aren't allowed to help her."

Even though he cared for her over the past two years, he wouldn't spoil her. Mistakes warranted punishment, but not to the extent of Kaidou's heavy-handed methods. Such an educational approach would lead to problems.

Since she messed up the place, she had to tidy it up herself, without anyone's help. The same applied to Maria and Jack.

When he and Shaina returned, only Yamato was in the room; the other two were called over afterwards.

...

Perhaps it was a matter of talent; she could destroy things effortlessly, but when it came to tidying, it became difficult. It took her over half an hour to gather all the scattered documents.

Although not very neatly done, it was evident she made an effort to restore them to their previous state, though the order was completely jumbled.

The documents weren't numbered, and she didn't recognize many words, so she couldn't be expected to restore them properly.

"This is the first and last time, understood?"

"I understand...."

"Alright, let's put this matter behind us now. Go rest up; we're setting sail tomorrow." He wasn't being too strict with Yamato this time; she wouldn't have many carefree days left.

Once Kaidou's training started, she wouldn't be able to relax every day like this.

Jack thought Yamato would receive a harsher punishment because whenever he messed things up, he'd be punished by standing in place. But Yamato seemed to be treated differently....

The Chansey taking care of them would also prioritize Yamato's issues. For some reason, he felt a chill in the world....

After sending the kids away, Shaina quickly reorganized the documents within minutes. The documents had special markings, making sorting by category quite easy, though Yamato didn't recognize them.

"What's this?"

From the stack of documents, Arceus spotted a few unfamiliar markings.

"These are... some uncertain messages we intended to verify before reporting to you." Arceus glanced over the paper, and the words 'Gold' and 'Plate' caught his attention.

"No need to verify, just explain what's on it now."

"As you know, back in those days, when you were in a deep slumber within the tribe, due to various accidents, one Plate was placed on another island. However, those aware of the matter perished before they could inform us, though King vaguely remembers them mentioning it was rich in gold.."

"Is this why you often brought back gold from your voyages during that period?"

"Yes, but the description was too vague, so we didn't tell you."

"I see... No problem, inform them to adjust the course, target the First Half of the Grand Line, a place called Gaya Island."

He couldn't remember much else, but he remembered that place being rich in gold.

In hindsight, Yamato's luck seemed to have returned. If not for her scattering those files, he wouldn't have noticed that information. King and Shaina might've found the info eventually, but who knows how long that would've taken.

As for whether it's that island, he wasn't sure; this world had all sorts of islands, and an island rich in gold might not necessarily refer to that one, but he had to check it out with the lead.

"Understood." She didn't know why Arceus was changing course, but it didn't matter; she just had to carry out the orders.

As Shaina went to convey the new commands, Arceus found Kaidou.

"We'll be out for quite some time this outing, possibly taking a few months for the round trip. I've decided to take Yamato along too."

"Got it, consider it Yamato's last journey. By the time she's back, it's almost time for her special training to start. Also, take those two little ones with you to broaden their horizons."

"That's not why I'm here, I'm here to warn you, Wano Kuni is developing well now, don't mess it up by getting drunk and causing trouble!"

One child or three made no difference; he was only worried Kaidou might drink too much and spiral out of control again, since Drunk Kaidou and Sober Kaidou were two completely different beings...
