Within the Hundred Beasts Pirates, aside from some secret information that is only exchanged verbally, everything else basically exists in duplicate, and Arceus checks them every day.
Kaidou is naturally no exception. As the governor of the Hundred Beasts Pirates, it is impossible to exclude him from such matters.
Although he wasn't verbally informed, the documents were still taken to him.
From his response, it was clear he hadn't read a word recently, and that it was news from several months ago, which showed just how long he hadn't dealt with these matters.
"Wahaha, don't mind these details. I'm reassured leaving these things to you guys."
Kaidou's reckless laughter echoed from the rooftop of Ghost Island, and those who heard it were no longer surprised. Kaidou's personality was unpredictable, but his laughter was at least a lot safer than his crying.
At least when Kaidou laughed, it meant he wasn't drunk and wouldn't do anything extreme. But if he started crying, not quickly distancing oneself could lead to dangerous situations.
As for the Poneglyphs, they were indestructible stone monuments crafted by the Kozuki Race of Wano Kuni during the void century.
No one can say what their material is, but the writing on them remains perfectly clear over centuries, and even the World Government hasn't been able to destroy these stones.
The Poneglyphs are divided into two types: one is the Roadsign Poneglyph, which records the location of Laugh Tale. They are characterized by their crimson color, and there are four of them.
Currently, one is in Charlotte Linlin's possession, one is deep within Wano Kuni's Inner Sea, one is on the back of the Zou Elephant, and the Hundred Beasts Pirates are unclear about the other one.
The other kind records events from the void century, consisting of 26 Poneglyphs, including 9 that contain significant intelligence. Finding these Poneglyphs is even harder than finding Arceus's Plates.
The Plates can be sensed in some way, but the Poneglyphs can only be found by luck.
The World Government prohibits deciphering their contents, and no one knows what's on Laugh Tale, but this doesn't stop Kaidou from being somewhat interested.
However, after this matter, the Hundred Beasts Pirates have another type of "stone" to find.
The conversation on the rooftop of Ghost Island didn't affect anything, but in Kuri's Peach Blossom Spring Farm, Setsuna suddenly woke up from a deep sleep because she heard a scream, and it sounded very familiar, like Nekomamushi's voice.
After leaving the house, she didn't head there immediately but looked toward Zeraora's lodgings.
It is beyond dispute that Zeraora is stronger than her. If she could hear it, Zeraora definitely could too, but since there was still the sound of electricity in his room, it meant Zeraora hadn't left.
"Zeraora, something seems wrong at the farm."
"It's nothing major; if you're worried, you can go check it out."
Setsuna's judgment was mistaken. Zeraora didn't not go; he went and then came back.
His mission was to protect the Peach Blossom Spring Farm, but besides him, there weren't many members of the Hundred Beasts Pirates since the main force wasn't them but those Miltanks.
Although those Miltanks have gentle personalities and get along well with children, and their appearance looks weak, it would be a big mistake to think they are just ordinary cows because of that.
These Miltanks aren't something just anyone can deal with; they also have combat capabilities.
"Oh right, it's probably that annoying cat you mentioned before. Tonight, they're in for a hard time."
When Zeraora said this, Setsuna seemed to realize something and immediately left the bedroom, running towards the source of the noise.
...
"Meow... What the heck are these weird cows!"
In an open field of the farm, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi were being besieged, and naturally, their attackers were Miltanks, which rolled up into balls and kept crashing toward Inuarashi and Nekomamushi.
Although Nekomamushi likes balls, this kind of ball is definitely not to his liking.
"I told you not to come, but you didn't listen. Now you see the consequence, right!"
Inuarashi crossed his arms to block a Miltank's Rollout and then complained to Nekomamushi.
They had just returned to Kuri not long ago, and they should have been resting in Oden Castle, but after hearing from Denjiro about what's transpired recently, Nekomamushi became displeased.
Moreover, due to Kinemon, their finances were in serious deficit, so much so that even the kitchen had only cheap ingredients left. They could endure hunger, but they could not let their lord's wife and children go hungry too.
In Nekomamushi's view, this land originally belonged to Oden. Even being forcibly rented by the Hundred Beasts Pirates, it still belonged to the Kozuki clan, so he came to steal vegetables.
Inuarashi thought it was a bad idea and wanted to stop him, but in the end, he was brought along with Nekomamushi.
The reasoning was similar to when they went to steal money from Shimotsuki Yasuie's house before.
Kurozumi Orochi had borrowed Oden's money, and since he was Shimotsuki Yasuie's servant, they went to his master's house.
Now that the Hundred Beasts Pirates had caused the situation in Oden Castle, they came to reclaim their belongings from their own farm.
Nekomamushi and Inuarashi had no trouble sneaking into the farm, and it wasn't entirely planted with Berries; there were some fields planted with ordinary fruits and vegetables.
There were no guards visible in the farm, but in places they couldn't see, there were quite a few Miltanks resting. Their vegetable-stealing act was soon discovered.
Although Miltanks can walk upright, they're generally short, and in the farmland, only their bovine heads were visible. When they were spotted by a cow, they thought nothing of it and continued stealing vegetables as if nobody was around.
This behavior naturally angered the Miltanks, and at its call, its nearby resting companions woke up too. By the time Inuarashi and Nekomamushi realized something was off, they were already surrounded by a dozen Miltanks.
At first, Nekomamushi didn't take these Miltanks seriously. In his view, they were just some peculiarly bred cattle, having been to many amazing islands with Roger and Whitebeard.
The isolated nature of islands resulted in many of them developing their unique species, so he merely waved his hand to shoo away the Miltanks.
After Nekomamushi repeatedly ignored the Miltanks, they were no longer polite. The lead Miltank rolled up into a ball and rolled toward Nekomamushi.
When Nekomamushi heard the commotion behind him and turned around, all he saw was the Miltank growing larger in his field of vision...
