Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: What Does It Feel Like to Eat Your Own Banana?

Queen didn't directly enter Beast Form but opted for Human-Beast Form, with his main form still as Brachiosaurus. Yet he sharply noticed something on his chin, and upon forcefully grabbing it, he pulled it off.

From his observation, this definitely looked like a banana.

Apart from that, his shoulders and head were wrapped in green leaves, and four giant banana leaves extended from his back.

The moment a Devil Fruit is consumed, the eater gains its basic abilities, though the extent of subsequent development depends on themselves; the Fruit Ability becomes a part of their body from that moment.

Among the various types of Devil Fruits, the usage direction of Paramecia-type is undoubtedly the widest, while ordinary Zoans are relatively simpler, mastering Three-stage Transformation doesn't take too long.

However, for Mythical Zoans, one must gradually explore their abilities. Compared to Shaina's high-temperature flames and King's rock-producing ability, the banana on his chin always seemed quite bizarre.

Yet, the force emanating from his body told him otherwise. Flapping the wide banana leaves on his back, he found himself unexpectedly flying.

"This isn't logical... How could such banana leaves support such a massive body... Is this the ability of Mythical Zoans? Seems my modification can consider more aspects."

Wagging the tail behind him, Queen pondered many things.

Tropius itself doesn't have a tail; the tail behind Queen was retained from the original Brachiosaurus Fruit. Arceus's modification wasn't a complete replacement; he used part of the energy to trigger the latent power of Queen's Brachiosaurus Fruit, causing it to undergo undirected mutation.

Although Queen's Brachiosaurus transformed into Tropius, Arceus wasn't sure what form the Brachiosaurus would ultimately take until the modification was complete.

Nonetheless, such mutation would inevitably base itself on Brachiosaurus' body structure; Meganium or Aurorus were possible candidates. The reason it became Tropius might be due to Queen's fondness for sweets and his desire to fly.

Shaina, King, and Queen are three different types of individuals. Although the abilities were successfully granted, the lack of reference standards made it impossible for Arceus to determine what the variation conditions truly were.

Even though he had this ability, it didn't mean he understood the operational process of this ability. Just like Judgment, a skill exclusive to him, is engraved in his mind; using Judgment is as instinctive as eating and drinking.

However, he doesn't know every step of Judgment's operational process. Though Arceus is called the Creator God, the term 'God' merely represents a range of power, never an omniscient and omnipotent existence.

For example, regarding whether God can create a stone he cannot lift, one theory suggests that before creation, the stone is unliftable, but after creation, it can be lifted; debating over this never results in a meaningful conclusion.

Once there are more targets for modification, the principle will naturally become clear through comparison.

Additionally, watching Queen flying through the sky, Arceus had a new idea: before he regains his ability to fly, Queen might just become his exclusive mount.

Among the five present, he's the only one who cannot fly. Shaina is a girl, King's current form isn't big enough; even transforming into a Pteranodon wouldn't be able to carry him.

As for Kaidou, although he can create flame clouds to transport everyone, he's now the Captain—or rather, the Hundred Beasts Pirate's Governor—the ship isn't ready yet, he shouldn't play the role of a horse daily.

The Tropius transformed from Queen's Brachiosaurus is big enough, its back sufficient to accommodate everyone except Kaidou.

Besides Kaidou, it's evident that both Shaina and King hold grievances against him, considering he was once part of that research institute; if not for his main research project being unrelated to the Lunarians, it wouldn't have ended with just a fight.

To put it bluntly, even pets grow feelings over time, let alone humans; Shaina and King might be the last Lunarians on The Sea, so Arceus doesn't hold much affection for Queen either.

Such labor without exploitation seems indeed inappropriate.

Contemplating his body modification plan in the sky, Queen was unaware that he was almost tagged as an exclusive mount.

After adapting briefly to his new body, Queen landed back on the ground.

Yet the bananas in his hand remained even after he dismissed his ability.

Earlier in the sky, he tried some things: though the bananas on his chin could be plucked down, they were extraordinarily sturdy; unless he intended to remove them, those bananas were as firm as a part of his body.

There were three bananas in total; after plucking one, it didn't regenerate.

First off, items created by Devil Fruits are edible. Streusen eats food transformed by fruits, biscuits made from Cracker's Bis-Bis Fruit, even cabbage painted by Kanjuro's Brush-Brush Fruit is consumable.

However, those belong to Paramecia-type, and the parts eaten aren't part of their body but created items.

Paramecia-type Devil Fruits can be divided into several categories: primarily into Superhuman Body, Superpower, and Creation.

Superpower refers to granting the user various magical powers—slowing down, vibrating, etc.—though these aren't related to eating.

Superpower and Creation sometimes overlap; for example, Eat-Eat Fruit can be said to create new food or use superpower to make inedible things edible.

Creation described as the user conjuring items out of thin air; food crafted by Creation category Paramecia-type Fruits are naturally edible, like biscuits, mochi, cream all unrelated to the body.

Superhuman Body merely changes one's body structure, like Gasparde's Candy-Candy Fruit: body turns into candy but cannot produce candy, tastes awful, something verified by Luffy in the theatrical version.

Undoubtedly, Zoans belong to the Superhuman Body category. For fruits to grow on an animal's body is truly mythical.

Looking at the banana in his hand, Queen made his choice: peeling off the banana skin and throwing the banana into his mouth, he then made a face of delight.

Sweet, soft, and chewy—this was the best banana he ever tasted. He himself was a lover of sweets; otherwise, he wouldn't be fond of Mochi Red Bean Soup, which could be considered cloyingly sweet.

But from this banana, he sensed a unique sweetness, seemingly gathering the sweetness of all fruits combined with the perfect banana texture; he had discovered a food comparable to Mochi Red Bean Soup.

Then, he used his ability again and plucked down the remaining two bananas.
