Chapter 290 - Chapter 290 Old Friends on Campus

Returning home, Yusei finally managed to peel Tohru off of him.

Tohru was wearing clothes similar to Kanna's, and it seemed to be their dragon tribe's traditional attire. But one had to admit, this kind of clothing looked really beautiful.

"Yusei, Yusei, Yusei!"

This dragon girl kept clinging to Yusei's arm like a koala. Yusei felt quite helpless, but it was still better than her not hanging on him at all.

"Alright, Tohru, we'll be living together from now on. There's no need for this, right?"

"No! I haven't seen Yusei for half a year! I need to make up for all that time at once!"

"How long will that take?" Yusei rolled his eyes.

Kanna, standing nearby, raised her small fist and lightly punched Tohru, "Tohru-sama, Yusei is Kanna's husband."

She was small and short, unable to reach Yusei's embrace. Next to Tohru, she always seemed like the one being bullied.

Yusei smiled, pried the dragon claws clutching his arm loose, and then patted Kanna's little head.

"Don't worry, I'm fine now. And I've gained even greater power, so there won't be any danger."

After a good deal of comforting, the two little ones finally calmed down.

Over the past few days, Yusei had been busy dealing with the aftermath of his half-year disappearance, without any time to rest.

Now that Kanna and Tohru's matters were settled, it seemed he could finally handle his university affairs.

Coincidentally, Asuna would be home at noon today, and Yusei planned to go with her tomorrow.

The Tokyo University is located in Bunkyo Ward. The new house was bought precisely for the convenience of attending university, so sometimes Asuna chose to come home to cook for the little ones.

Previously, she came back every noon and evening without fail. Now, with Yusei's return, she occasionally chose to come back as well.

Actually, if her studies weren't so demanding, she would definitely come home.

When Asuna came home during her lunch break, she smelled the aroma of cooking.

"Mmm, is Athena cooking?" Putting down her bag, Asuna went to the living room and looked at Yusei, who was watching TV.

"It's Tohru. I brought them back."

"Tohru's cooking? I am quite anticipating it. I'll go help her." Asuna smiled at Yusei, put on an apron, and went into the kitchen.

After a flurry of activity, Asuna and Tohru brought out a large table full of delicious dishes.

Once seated, Yusei realized just how many people were in the household now: Shiro, Yui, Athena, Tohru, Kanna, Asuna, himself, and a pet fox.

Come to think of it, if they made too little food for lunch...

During the meal, Asuna seemed to suddenly remember something and said to Yusei, "By the way, Yusei-kun, when do you plan to enroll?"

"This afternoon is fine. Do you have classes this afternoon?"

"No classes. Then I can show you around this afternoon. Hehe, you might not know yet, but Kaguya arranged for all three of us to be in the same major and class."

Hearing Asuna say this, Yusei realized he didn't actually know what his major was.

'Judging from the direct admission via the Kendo Championship, it was probably Traditional Arts or Sports Science, right?'

Although Yusei considered himself strong, he didn't really want to be in Sports Science because he didn't have the time for training and classes.

'But since Asuna said the three of us were in the same major, it couldn't be Sports Science. Probably something like Business Administration.'

Sure enough, Asuna explained next: "The major is Business Administration. Because Kaguya is inheriting her family business, and my parents also hope I study this major, then go abroad for further studies to get a..."

"But well... I don't want to study abroad. That would mean not seeing Yusei-kun for a long time."

Yusei nodded and smiled, "Studying abroad or not doesn't matter. I can provide for you."

Before Asuna could respond, Yui giggled.

"Papa is being sweet to Mama again. Yui's Aunties might not be happy, you know?"

Yui, wise beyond her years, looked around and winked at Yusei.

And indeed, although everyone was silently eating, the atmosphere had definitely changed from before.

Yusei glared at Yui, 'This little girl had gotten much bolder after not seeing her for half a year, daring to tease her father now.'

'No, she must have learned it from that snickering fox. Yui was usually very well-behaved.'

"Let's talk about these things later. Let's go report in this afternoon first." Yusei, as the head of the household, directly ended the topic.

"Mhmm."

After the meal, Asuna rested for a nap, and in the afternoon, she went with Yusei to Tokyo University.

Because their schedules were the same, Kaguya actually also had no classes.

At Tokyo University, she and Asuna had separate dorm rooms. Perhaps that was the privilege of the wealthy.

But unlike Asuna, Kaguya needed to refine her swordsmanship daily.

Usually, during her free time, she would be training.

According to Asuna, Kaguya should currently be in her room, meditating with her eyes closed.

Melqart's Authorities that Yusei bestowed didn't include any sword-related authority.

Although Kaguya marveled at those powers, she didn't rely on them, instead continuing to train her sword.

Led by Asuna, Yusei went directly to their academic advisor. Because they were 'children of major families', the process was surprisingly quick.

As for the dormitory, Yusei didn't use the one assigned by the university.

He filled out that he would commute from home. In other words, the tuition was paid, but he wouldn't be living there.

After sorting everything out, Asuna temporarily bid farewell to Yusei. She needed to go back and organize her study materials, and by the way check on Kaguya.

Yusei, meanwhile, decided to stroll around the Tokyo University campus. But his stroll had a purpose: he was heading to the Faculty of Letters.

Two of his acquaintances were in this faculty.

Utaha was undoubtedly a student in this faculty, but what surprised Yusei was that Megumi was also in this faculty.

But then again, the fact that she got into Tokyo University should be surprising in itself.

In the past, although she wasn't as terrifyingly low-ranked as Yusei, she had always been in the ranks of the unnoticed.

Students like that usually went to average universities, neither great nor terrible, the ones most easily overlooked.

She had actually sent Yusei a text when she received the acceptance letter, and Yusei found out after his return.

Coming to the Faculty of Letters this time, he actually wanted to see how this girl he hadn't seen for half a year was doing.

'Going from an academic underachiever to a top student, she must have put in a lot of effort.'
