The group of eight people walked through the bushes and branches, with Adriel and Elena in front, Kael, Nico, Liora, and Selene in the middle, and Steven and Amara bringing up the rear.
As they walked, Adriel couldn't help but look around. The trees had beautiful and unsettling colors on their leaves. Elena moved her hand slightly, brushing it against Adriel's, who ignored her. Then she moved her hand to Adriel's thigh, and he pulled his hand away when he felt this.
Elena sighed and looked back, directly at Steven, but she knew that as the guide, she couldn't go. "Hmm, how frustrating. I've always been confident in my seductive abilities, but how can a TEENAGER resist that?" Elena looked at Adriel closely, his face, his chest, his abdomen, and finally his crotch, but he looked so asleep that she wondered if he had taken a sleeping pill.
"Are you small? Why aren't you getting excited even though I'm trying so hard?" Elena glanced sideways at Adriel, who turned his head completely toward her.
"What kind of questions are those? I really don't know if I have a small one, I grew two years in two days, so it probably changed. As for why I don't have an erection, it's as simple as thinking about the goblin corpses, my bloody hand, and everything that awaits us." Adriel looked at his own hand as he spoke, then checked his scars. The self-inflicted wound was still there, but the wound given by the goblin on the first day had completely disappeared.
"So it replaces arousal with memories that are bad for him..." Elena began to look ahead, not knowing what to say, nor what to do, just following the path she knew to use the system.
Behind the pair, they were playing and talking. None of the conversations were really important, but the back row was tense.
Amara and Steven walked side by side, words failing them, both immersed in absolute silence. There was no topic of conversation for them to talk about, so they remained quiet.
"Hey, I've noticed you don't talk much with your friends. How much do you know about the system?" Steven didn't look at her again, but it was obvious who he was addressing.
"Nothing, I don't really know much, I just hear mentions of coins and objects." Amara didn't look at him either.
"There are phases and categories. If I had to guess, the phase would be like a level, and the category would be a sublevel. I have no idea how many levels and sublevels there are, but I'm sure there are a considerable number," Steven explained, glancing from side to side as he searched for something in the shadows.
Out of nowhere, Elena stopped walking in an ordinary place. There were trees, branches, bushes, and a feeling of constant danger. "Here, think about summoning the system."
Adriel was the first to react. A status window invisible to the others appeared. It was like the last few times, a kind of crack in the space, white with black text that made him uncomfortable.
He began to see what he could do. The window was messy, but he could grab and arrange everything. He grabbed the text that said "Class" and moved it to the center. Obviously, he didn't have one, but his mind had already formulated an answer to what it was.
Then he saw the symbol of a yellow coin and moved it to the upper left corner, then grabbed the word "Store" and moved it to the lower left corner.
Finally, he grabbed the word "guild" and put it in the lower right corner and the word "bestiary" and put it in the upper right corner.
After arranging everything, he clicked on the store and saw five rows with five products each. All the products were basic items, such as water, meat, fruits and vegetables from his world, soap, etc.
Adriel saw two other options, "sell" and "auction." When he entered the auction, he saw that it was completely empty, so he left and entered the bestiary.
Inside, he felt his blood run cold. He saw seven different phases, six of which were locked, and in the initial phase there were seven categories: "Knowing this type of thing goes from: F, E, D, C, B, A, and S."
Adriel's theory was confirmed when he saw that he already had categories F, E, and A unlocked, where he could see information about the succubus and goblin races in categories F and E.
After reviewing everything, Adriel thought that the system should disappear, then he saw how his friends and Steven were staring into nothingness, but at the same time he knew that this was because his system was invisible to other people.
Adriel fixed his gaze on Elena, who was looking at Steven with depravity. 'She probably doesn't know that I've stopped seeing the system window. It's impossible to really know if someone has finished or not.'
"Hey, how does this work? When we got here, I tried to summon the system, but for some reason, I can't do it now." Adriel fixed his eyes on Elena's, who raised two fingers.
"You'll have to give me two jars of sweat if I tell you that, in total." Elena didn't stop looking at Steven. "Shameless," Adriel thought to himself as he considered the offer, but he quickly made up his mind.
"I accept. Now talk."
Elena raised a finger and turned to look at Adriel. "Okay, in a little while..."
"I want details," Adriel stopped Elena in her tracks, who lost her composure for a moment upon hearing how sharp and cold Adriel's voice sounded.
Elena let out a small sigh and then began to speak again. "In this world, there are specific areas that measure at least ten square meters. You can tell you've entered one of these areas by a discomfort that will grow inside you. The system can only be used in these areas, the only exception being to select your latent class, which is the class that the system thinks suits you best." Adriel listened attentively, but his mind began to wander when he heard the words "latent class."
"What will my latent class be? Could it be something like a wizard?" Adriel began to imagine himself casting spells in a robe, then he imagined himself as a dark swordsman. The excitement of learning about the existence of classes made him so happy that he completely ignored the hunger that was devouring him, as he had not eaten for a day and a half.
"Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
As they walked, Amara began to feel weak, not only because she was hungry, even though she had only skipped breakfast, but also because she felt very sleepy, even though she had slept like a baby and the day had barely begun. "I guess I'll sleep a little after eating." She slowly followed the group from the back of the line, with even Steven in front of her.
