Chapter 1 - Taken away

Six teenagers were dressed in their finest clothes that night: they had been invited to a quinceañera party and wanted to look impeccable. Two of them were competing for height. The first, with dark skin and a robust build, curly black hair, and dark eyes, was passionate about soccer and almost always wore a Barça or Monterrey jersey. The second had fair, slightly tanned skin, straight dark brown hair, and intense black eyes; he was a real geek, devouring light novels and manga. The third, shorter in stature, had very curly hair and shared his black eye color; his great passion was Nintendo and video games. The first girl, petite and cheerful, had black hair that curled softly at the ends and brown eyes; she loved rock music and had a preference for boys three or four years older than her. The second girl, the third boy's girlfriend, had dark brown hair with slight waves at the ends, brown eyes, and a tendency to blush easily; she loved the oddities that circulated on social media. The youngest of the group stood out for her dark skin and curly hair, which was as black as her eyes.

The six were sixteen years old and spent the night dancing and having fun, until suddenly they felt a strange pressure throughout their bodies. They weren't the only ones: the rest of the guests also stopped. A status window appeared in front of them with a message:

"Hello, I am Xyphor, a special creature who offers you the opportunity to make a wish. To do so, you must find one of the three stars hidden in a new world. You will be transported there; each day, your bodies will advance or regress one year until you reach the optimal point of your physical condition and the perfect age to exploit everything the system has to offer. You have five seconds to grab as many people as you want: as long as there is minimal physical contact at the last second, you will be transported together. I could explain more, but I enjoy the mystery."

Everyone was paralyzed, except Adriel—the second boy—who reacted immediately. He grabbed his two friends' arms and ran to take the girls' hands. There were four seconds left. The girls intertwined their hands; Adriel only managed to grab one of them and link her hand with his friend's. Two seconds. With horror, Adriel saw his parents running toward him, begging to touch him. Then the second girl tripped and fell, setting off a chain reaction that prevented anyone else from reaching his parents.

A light enveloped them. Adriel, tears streaming down his face, gazed at a landscape so beautiful that it could only be called paradise. But his joy turned to anguish when he realized: he was in a new world, lost, and didn't know where to start looking for his family.
