Anvish's past demons never left him. Scenes of funerals, death, and pain replayed endlessly in his mind, haunting every quiet moment.
His foster father—Rakesh, Preethi's father—had always worried about him.
Once, at Anvish's graduation from PUC college, Rakesh met with one of his son's teachers. The teacher's voice carried concern:
"Anvish needs somebody."
He continued, his tone weighed with worry:
"His marks aren't even impressive. Honestly, it's lucky he's graduating at all."
Rakesh's brows furrowed, and he added softly,
"He wasn't always like this… he used to have many friends in school. But now..."
The teacher, with a caring tone, offered some advice:
"I think, rather than running away from his past, he should face it. Maybe reconnecting with an old friend could help… some good memories might smooth his path forward."
Rakesh's voice was tinged with sadness as he replied,
"He feels that whoever he gets close to… he ends up hurting them."
The teacher gave a gentle, motivating smile,
"Don't worry. Meeting an old friend isn't something he can ignore… just try your best."
Not long after, Rakesh learned that some of Anvish's schoolmates would be attending 7 Leaves College. Seeing an opportunity for his son to start anew, he enrolled him there—hoping that the familiar faces and new environment could give Anvish a fresh start.
This… was Rakesh's plan.
