Chapter 34: Adventure on a Deserted Island

Without even thinking, it was obvious to Christian Li that this was the KT Alliance deliberately intercepting shipping lanes. They wanted to monopolize the resources of the Atlantic Ocean. Facing this situation, some players were indignant.

"Why!?"

"Because of our strength," a KT member replied. "You can try to break through too, feel free."

"Alright, if you want to break through, then break through!"

Several players steeled their hearts and tried to push past the KT Alliance's blockade. "Full speed ahead!" "Haha, what if I break through?"

The KT Alliance's gunner smirked, and several cannonballs flew through the air. Those few ships, still in high spirits, were instantly blown to smithereens. Both ships and people vanished into thin air—a truly heavy loss. The remaining players dared not intrude rashly.

"This KT Alliance is too overbearing!"

"Forget it, let's find another route and check out the Pacific Ocean."

At this moment, Christian had already activated his ship's underwater mode. His Love Heart ship was a magical type of vessel, equipped with a module within the Game Producer System's ship architecture that allowed for a hidden skill: underwater navigation. It could temporarily travel submerged for a short burst. Previously, he had only used this skill to escape, but this time he was using it to break through.

Just like that, the Love Heart sailboat silently passed underwater, undetected by anyone from the KT Alliance. Five minutes later, the sailboat leaped out of the seawater, officially entering the Atlantic Ocean.

The KT Alliance members saw the ship through their binoculars: "Strange, when did that ship appear?"

"I don't know, should we pursue him?"

"Forget it, if he can pass under our noses, he must have some skill."

Entering the Atlantic Ocean, an endless sea stretched before him. There were no other players' ships around. For Christian, the KT Alliance's interception might have been a good thing, because no one would be competing with him for monsters. Following the route, an island appeared ahead. Outside the island, several KT Alliance ships were docked. Without even thinking, he knew he couldn't stay here long, so he continued sailing forward, searching for the next island.

An hour later, Christian finally saw the island's coastline. This island was called the Canary Islands, a level 40 leveling zone. No residents lived there yet; it looked like a pristine forest island. Suddenly, a leopard sprang from the jungle and pounced on Christian. His pet, Bello, blocked the leopard, engaging it in a struggle.

This was a level 40 Excellent quality leopard, and Bello was a level 40 Exceptional hunting dog. So, in this battle between beasts, Bello emerged victorious. Christian picked up a small knife to skin the leopard; the leopard skin could be sold for money in the German market zones, and the meat could be used as cooking ingredients. When full, all attributes could be increased by 10%.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one else had landed on this island yet, Christian decided to explore.

[Use skill: Treasure Hunt.]

Christian took out a golden compass; after activating the skill through his interface, the compass would display the coordinates of possible treasures in the surrounding area. He walked along, holding the compass and searching, while also guarding against attacks from nearby beasts. His respawn point was bound to Royal Port, so if he died, these few hours of travel would be wasted.

Suddenly, the needle on the compass shook violently, then pointed southeast.

"Found it!" Christian exclaimed, leading his hunting dog and rushing forward. However, after only running a hundred meters, his foot suddenly slipped.

"Verdammt!" Christian, sitting in front of his computer in Germany, shuddered in fright. For no apparent reason, his character had fallen into a trap. "Are you kidding me? Which bastard set a trap on this deserted island? What the hell!"

Just as Christian was trying to climb out of the pit, a group of natives' heads appeared above him. "Who are you?" He was met with a heavy blow to the head, and then his vision went dark.

When he woke up again, he found himself tied horizontally, with firewood placed underneath him; these natives were about to roast him. Next to him, his dog Bello was also tied up.

"Hello, can you understand what I'm saying?"

"!@%#@¥#%%."

The natives could make sounds, but he couldn't understand a single word, and the displayed subtitles were all garbled. In this situation, he couldn't control his character to break free either. "Am I going to be burned to death here!?"

The death penalty was a level drop, and his main ship was still on this island; if he revived and ran back, the ship would probably have been taken by someone else, which would be a huge loss. Christian controlled his character to shake violently. After continuous frantic button mashing, his efforts paid off; he fell from the fire pit, then rolled repeatedly to extinguish the flames on his body.

A group of natives quickly rushed over, placing their spears on his neck. Just as Christian was despairing, a tiger's roar echoed through the forest. The natives scattered in fright, hiding in their huts. Christian quickly picked up the knife from the ground and cut the ropes on himself and his hunting dog.

"This crappy place, I'm not staying!" Christian ran wildly back the way he came, with his hunting dog following.

He stopped halfway again. A tattooed, large orange cat, Tiger King Saka, was glaring at Christian, slowly walking towards him.

[Tiger King Saka]

Level: 45

Quality: Epic

Type: Beast

Personality: Cruel, Warlike

Skills: Tiger's Roar, Claw Attack, Bite, Pounce, Charge

Christian swallowed: "Brother Tiger, give me some face."

"Roar!!!"

The Tiger King roared, startling Christian. The suppression from the Beast King made Bello, the hunting dog, tremble and fall into a state of fear.

"Run!"

Christian didn't say a word, activating the Treasure Hunter's divine skill: Sprint. Tiger King Saka pursued him relentlessly. Suddenly, Christian saw a deep pit ahead—the same native trap—and he quickly ran towards it. Just as he was about to reach the pit, he made a sharp turn. The Tiger King pounced forward, its claws raking across Christian's body and reducing his health by one-third, but the momentum carried the beast into the deep pit.

"That's what you get for chasing me!"

The Tiger King tried to climb out of the steep pit, but failed. Christian smirked, took out his flintlock pistol, and aimed it at the Tiger King.

"If you want to live, then surrender to me! Otherwise, you only have one path: death!"
