Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

‎When their voices faded, silence returned. Then—

‎'Ding! Mission Completed: Defy and Humiliate Shen Luoluo's Clique.'

‎'Reward: 100,000 yuan credited to Host's account.'

‎'Reward: Ownership Document—Luxury Apartment in Fengshang Estate.'

‎'Reward: Golden Access Pass to Fengshang Estate.'

‎'Reward: Beauty Enhancement Pill.'

‎'Host has been rewarded beginner's gift, do you want to accept?'

‎"Beginner's reward?" Su Ning asked amazed.

‎"Yes, accept"

‎'Ding! Premium Black Card—top-tier authority, less than 10 holders nationwide.'

‎Su Ning's breath hitched.

‎A sleek, jet-black card materialized in her palm, its surface glimmering faintly under the sunlight. Elegant golden patterns curled along its edges. She had seen pictures of such cards before—cards reserved for the top elites of the country. People who could, with a swipe, buy entire companies.

‎The black premium card had unlimited access in the country and in the whole world. Only hundred hidden individuals had access to it in the whole world. The card was recognized anywhere, accompanied with VVVIP treatments in anywhere in the country with over 70 percent discounts of any purchase.

‎The black premium card could grant access to anyone no matter how powerful including the government in minutes.

‎It could also take in any amount of money and no matter how outrageous it was, it wouldn't be pursued by the government, even the mayor hasn't even seen one before.

‎Her fingers trembled as she turned it over. It felt heavy, powerful.

‎Then came a golden envelope, inside it a document stamped with the red seal of Fengshang Estate—the most luxurious estate in City F, where villas cost hundreds of millions. Alongside it, a golden access pass and a small, ornate key gleamed.

‎She examined it and saw that her apartment was in Street One. Her jaw dropped in shock. Only wealthy conglomerates live in Fengshang Estate, and few Powerful and hidden individuals lived in Street One. Only handful of apartments where built there.

‎Fengshang Estate had ten streets, and the wealthier you are will determine the street you can live in.

‎Even Shen Luoluo and Shen Mixi's family live in Street four.

‎Su Ning's lips parted in awe. She had gone from a forty-yuan room to owning an high end apartment in Fengshang overnight.

‎Her eyes closed for a moment as she calmed the storm of emotions inside her. When they opened again, they were cold, steady, resolute.

‎This is only the beginning.

‎After school, Chen Anya tugged at her sleeve timidly. "Do you… want to come over? My dad made extra noodles tonight."

‎Su Ning smiled warmly at her friend, shaking her head. "Thank you, Anya. But I have something to take care of."

‎Back at her shabby room, Su Ning moved methodically. She threw her threadbare clothes into a bag, tossed out the broken table, and left behind everything that tied her to misery.

‎Handing the key to the landlord, she said flatly, "I won't be needing this anymore."

‎The kind aunt from the food stall frowned in worry when Su Ning bowed to her deeply. "Child, why are you leaving so suddenly?"

‎Su Ning's smile was soft, her lie smooth. "My mother's family sent money. I'll be fine."

‎She didn't linger. For the first time, she hailed a taxi instead of boarding a crowded public bus. As the car hummed down the road, she held the black card and the golden key tightly in her hands.

‎Her reflection in the window showed a thin, scarred girl. But her eyes… her eyes burned with the fire of someone reborn.

‎The taxi rolled smoothly down the wide avenue, its engine purring faintly. The driver, a middle-aged man with a tired face, kept stealing glances at the rearview mirror. His passenger was nothing unusual at first glance—a thin schoolgirl in a wrinkled uniform, her hands folded on her lap, her hair still damp from washing in a hurry.

‎But when she had calmly handed him her card for payment…

‎His world had tilted.

‎The moment the sleek black rectangle touched his palm, his breath caught.

‎The Black Premium Card.

‎His fingers trembled so badly that the machine almost slipped from his grip. Beads of sweat gathered on his temples as he slid the card into the reader, his heartbeat hammering in his ears.

‎This can't be real. This card… this card only exists in rumors. Less than ten in the entire nation…! Even CEOs of Fortune 500 companies aren't qualified to hold one. People say with a swipe, you could buy a skyscraper. With a flash, you could walk into the Prime Minister's office without question.

‎The machine beeped: Transaction Approved.

‎The driver's face drained of color. He returned the card with both hands, his back hunched, his head bowed low as though presenting tribute to an empress.

‎"Honored miss," his voice shook, "please forgive my earlier ignorance. I—I've never seen such a card before. Please… keep it safe."

‎Su Ning accepted it quietly, her face calm, though her heart thudded.

‎The driver hesitated, then swallowed hard. "May I… may I ask, miss, where you are headed?"

‎She looked up, her eyes cool. "Fengshang Estate."

‎The driver's knuckles whitened on the steering wheel. His whole body stiffened. He'd ferried wealthy passengers before, but none had ever spoken those three words. Fengshang Estate wasn't a residential area—it was a kingdom.

‎For the rest of the ride, the driver didn't dare to breathe too loudly. His shoulders hunched as if bearing invisible weight, his eyes fixed straight ahead. By the time they slowed before the towering golden gates, he was pale with awe.

‎Su Ning stepped out gracefully, clutching her golden pass. The driver lingered for a moment, staring at her plain uniform and quiet figure, then bowed deeply—so low his forehead nearly touched the steering wheel.

‎He slammed on the accelerator and sped away. He couldn't wait to tell his colleagues: I drove a Black Card holder. She's moving into Fengshang Estate. Villa One!

‎The gates of Fengshang Estate loomed like the entrance to another world—black steel overlaid with pure gold, engraved with dragons and phoenixes that seemed ready to leap into the sky. Armed guards in tailored black suits stood watch, rifles slung with precision.

‎Two approached swiftly, their expressions hard.

‎"Miss, this is private property. Please leave—"

‎Su Ning calmly held up her golden pass.

‎They blinked, startled. One took it and scanned it at the gate's panel.

‎Beep—

‎The digital screen flashed.

‎Resident Identified: Fengshang Estate, Street One, Villa One.

‎The guards froze.

‎Their eyes flicked from the glowing screen to the thin girl before them. For a long moment, neither spoke. Then, almost simultaneously, they straightened their backs and bowed deeply.

‎"Welcome home, honored resident."

‎The colossal gates swung open with a low hum.

‎Stepping inside, Su Ning felt as though she had crossed into another realm.

‎The streets gleamed with imported marble, each stone polished until it reflected the sky. Luxury cars worth tens of millions lined the curbs like ornaments. Trees imported from across the world shaded cobblestone paths, their blossoms releasing a faint, fragrant perfume.

‎Ahead, a sleek black car slid to a stop beside her. The estate's driver stepped out and opened the door with a respectful bow.

‎"Honoured Resident, please—allow me to escort you."

‎Su Ning slipped inside. The car's interior smelled of leather and sandalwood, every seam hand-stitched. The ride was smooth as silk, not a single bump felt as they glided deeper into the estate.

‎Street One.

‎The innermost sanctum of Fengshang Estate. Only eight villas stood here, each more magnificent than palaces, each belonging to names so powerful they were whispered in reverence.

‎Seven villas were occupied. One—Villa One—had remained empty.

‎Until today.

‎The driver slowed before the grandest of them all. His hands trembled against the wheel, his throat bobbing. "Villa… Villa One…" His voice cracked, disbelief etched in every word.

‎He turned to glance at Su Ning one last time, eyes wide with awe. Then, bowing low, he left her before the gates of her new home.

‎Villa One rose like a crown against the horizon. White marble walls, golden trim, a gigantic fountain spilling crystal water that danced in the sunlight. A sprawling garden stretched beyond, with manicured hedges, a pool shimmering like glass, and a garage vast enough for dozens of cars.

‎Su Ning's breath caught. Her knees felt weak, her chest tight.

‎Yesterday, I lived in a room worth forty yuan a month…

‎Today, I stand before a palace worth billions.

‎She stepped through the gates.

‎The front door opened soundlessly, welcoming her.

‎Inside—luxury so overwhelming it seemed unreal. A chandelier dripped crystal light over a sitting room larger than her old neighborhood. Velvet sofas, handwoven carpets, priceless paintings on every wall.

‎Her throat tightened. This… this is mine?

‎She unlocked pushed open the door and stepped inside.

‎The front door swung wide at her touch. A cool breeze carrying the faint scent of roses greeted her.

‎She entered—and her breath caught.

‎The sitting room alone was larger than her entire old apartment complex. Velvet sofas, a chandelier glittering like captured starlight, walls lined with rare art.

‎She explored, each step a revelation.

‎The three bedrooms were vast and luxurious, each with king-sized beds draped in silk. Her own master bedroom was crowned by a cream-colored teddy bear as tall as her waist, wearing a golden tie like a loyal guardian.

‎The closets were endless—rooms filled with clothes of every style, from elegant gowns to casual wear. Another room brimmed with shoes, another with bags, another with glittering jewelry that could buy entire streets.

‎The bathroom was a kingdom of its own—marble floors, golden faucets, a Jacuzzi the size of a pool, and even a flat-screen TV mounted across the tub.

‎The kitchen was stocked like a five-star restaurant. Refrigerators overflowing with delicacies she'd never dreamed of tasting. A wine rack filled with bottles worth more than her lifetime earnings. A polished bar gleamed in the corner.

‎Su Ning stopped in the center of it all, overwhelmed.

‎Her eyes stung. Yesterday she had nothing—no food, no family, no dignity. Today, she stood in a paradise no one in City F could touch.
