----------
Guild members lined up, one by one placing their hands on the Tenrou Jade with excited yet nervous hearts.
The Tenrou Jade seemed to transform into a giant magic battery, and brilliant golden electric arcs suddenly erupted, giving everyone who touched it a stimulating "electrotherapy" session.
In an instant, the entire guild hall was filled with all sorts of wailing and excited shouts, and a faint smell of scorching permeated the air. The scene was quite "tragic" at times.
However, reality is cruel, and surprises only happen to a few people.
The Tenrou Jade's selection criteria were exceptionally strict.
Most members, after experiencing a baptism of electricity, felt their Magic Power had improved and their bodies were refreshed as if cleansed. Aside from a comical afro hairstyle, they did not feel the "Magical Power Seed" that symbolized higher potential.
Ultimately, only a dozen or so members received the Tenrou Jade's recognition and successfully planted a Magical Power Seed.
Laxus, Gajeel, Lucy, Juvia, the three members of the Thunder God Tribe, Elfman, Lisanna, and the underage group led by Wendy... this result was within Noah's expectations.
Only those with strong enough talent were qualified for the Tenrou Jade to bestow a Magical Power Seed, but this number was actually very considerable.
What surprised Noah was that Lily also successfully obtained a Magical Power Seed. This black cat, who could transform his size anywhere, truly lived up to his reputation as an outstanding member of the Exceed race.
Although having a Magical Power Seed meant a higher future potential, not everyone could quickly awaken their Magical Power.
In these three days, only Laxus successfully digested the seed and awakened his Magical Power. His talent and accumulation certainly matched this speed.
As for the members not chosen by the Tenrou Jade, watching their companions' bodies surge with new power representing the future, a hint of dimness inevitably flashed in their eyes.
There was disappointment, of course, but not sadness.
Jealousy was even less likely to occur.
Everyone had a good grasp of their own capabilities and would only sincerely be happy for their companions who received an opportunity. It also conveniently provided a good excuse for a celebration.
At Fairy Tail, unpleasant moods always dissipated exceptionally quickly.
Although everyone verbally declared, "Grimoire Heart is nothing to fear," their bodies were honest. The entire guild operated at high speed over the next three days, making the most thorough preparations for the upcoming war.
Makarov immediately sought out the mayor of Magnolia. When the mayor heard the name "Grimoire Heart" and the news that they were going to wage war against Fairy Tail, his face instantly turned pale.
Grimoire Heart was known as the strongest Dark Guild, and the fact that they'd established this reputation among numerous Dark Guilds was enough to demonstrate their terrifying nature.
At Makarov's suggestion, the mayor, with almost no hesitation, immediately signed the highest-level evacuation order, instructing residents to retreat to shelters.
As for where Magnolia got shelters large enough to accommodate an entire city's population, it can only be said that August and Irene, these two powerhouses, were truly overpowered among humans.
August merely made a slight move, and the vast, abyssal Magic Power fluctuations caused space to ripple like water.
A colossal magical space, emanating a stable magical glow, was easily opened. The interior of the space was vast and flat, and its area was no less than that of Magnolia town itself.
Then, Irene took action, using "Enchantment magic" to imbue the magical space with a host of impressive-sounding characteristics such as spatial stability, suitable environment, life support, self-concealment, and a Magic Power barrier.
A semi-permanent, massive "shelter" was thus born.
The mayor and all the municipal staff who witnessed this scene had their mouths agape, wide enough to fit an egg. Not to mention them, even Makarov's mind completely crashed at the time.
Makarov even suspected that even with his now awakened Magical Power, he might not be able to defeat August and Irene from before they mastered Magical Power.
Thinking that August was a year younger than him, Makarov was deeply depressed. Indeed, comparing oneself to others is infuriating...
Faced with a magical space that didn't occupy the town and could be freely opened and closed, the mayor, responsible for organizing the residents' evacuation, was overjoyed, because this "shelter" was a gift from Fairy Tail to Magnolia.
Once the crisis passed, the empty shelter would be more than sufficient for large events or commercial activities, and even using it as a warehouse would be a huge profit.
While everyone was busy, in the secret space beneath the guild, three figures arrived silently.
"I'd say the old man is just making extra work."
Noah led the way, saying to the one person and one ghost behind him, "If Grimoire Heart comes, they come. August can just take care of them all. There's no need for all this trouble."
Hearing Noah's complaint, Mavis responded with a smile, "Makarov also wants to use this to train the younger generation and help them get familiar with the power of Magical Power."
Noah, of course, understood Makarov's intentions. He just wanted to complain a bit.
In less than two minutes, Noah led Mavis and Zeref to the room where the Fairy Heart was stored. Looking at the giant magic crystal emitting a faint glow, both of their eyes went wide.
Mavis floated to the crystal, looking at the body sealed within, and found it quite amusing. "Indeed, such vigorous vitality, and it looks like I died quite peacefully."
Hearing Mavis's sharp comment, Zeref's mouth twitched. After all, Mavis was "loved" to death by him. Closing her eyes and dying happily would, of course, be peaceful.
After a few remarks with Zeref about her own body, Mavis remembered the main business and turned to Noah. "How do I get back into my body? Just force myself in?"
"Uh... probably."
Noah's answer was clearly lacking in confidence. This was his first time experiencing such a situation, and who knew the process of putting a soul back into a body.
Fortunately, Zeref stopped Noah and Mavis's rashness. Although this peerless genius in magic research had his Magic Power sealed, his most important brain was still intact.
After a brief thought, Zeref came up with the most suitable method for Mavis to return to her body.
"A ghost is a type of Magic Power life form, carrying a person's consciousness from when they were alive. To return to the body, the ghost's existence must be cleared, so that the consciousness can smoothly return to the body."
"Noah, use Whale Slayer Domination Fist on Mavis."
Noah said "Oh," but always felt that Zeref's last sentence sounded strange. It was odd for a husband to ask an outsider to punch his deceased wife...
For Mavis's safety, Noah did not use Magnetic Field Power, but instead, for the first time in a while, activated his Magic Power, concentrating it on his fist.
"First Master, my apologies."
Without giving Mavis time to prepare, Noah unleashed a punch. A massive Magic Power impact directly hit Mavis's ghost. With an "ouch," Mavis's ghost instantly shattered, and a spiritual light shot directly into the giant magic crystal.
Crack—smash!
Countless cracks spread, and amidst the crisp sound, a pair of fair, smooth little feet stepped onto the magic crystal fragments.
