"Why hello there dear, are your parents around?"
The DA was what can best be described as a regurgitation of his surroundings. He would repeat things he saw in magazines and when doing his crimes he would do everything he could to cover it up. So, saving an innocent child was easy for his mental database to deal with. He was going to save her the one way he could.
"Get away from me, you freak!"
Using her occupationally administered agility and dagger she attacked the DA. Soon enough, she had him backed into a corner but with catlike reflexes the DA grabbed her by her left arm and closed his fist around her wrist and twisted it until she dropped it. She felt a scream coming about but she decided it to be a fool's errand and began upon fighting the man via using his grasp of her arm and jumped before pulling him closer to her. Where she would try and punch him, but the resistance was futile.
"All will be over soon, just, be quiet."
"Quiet thyself you monster!"
She hopped onto his chest and started to fight back. She started with punches but quickly tired herself out and moved towards using her nails. He was stronger than he looked because he then went onto rip the pint-sized monster off him and slammed her into his basement window as she was partially propelled by herself kicking him in the chest.
"And this is why I hate kids! Would you look at that? Such a mess that I have to clean up and what of the neighbors?"
The DA was very mechanical as he left walked up the stairs, through the halls, and finally, into his lawn. The house was very desolate as one would assume it was abandoned or the people who lived there were weekenders who visited the lake town from how uncommon they saw the DA there and from how eerie it felt when they were nearby, like it was haunted. But when they saw an ex-deputy chasing a kid who had an appearance that was very similar to his own, they had found themselves somewhat supportive of the DA.
"Get away from me, you monster!"
The DA tackled her to the ground and dragged her back by her hair to the house, throwing her inside with a sly smile and some paranoia then he went to locking the door. She knew that he was most definitely a man smarter than her and he was probably a little closer to BB than her and that was terrifying. Someone she trusted was in the same boat as him.
"Hey Jim, what's going on? I heard some noise from around the block."
"Oh, you know, my little sister keeps being such a pain. She screams at me, breaks things, and then she doesn't want to keep the place up and running whilst I'm out making the world a better place. Can you believe that?"
The DA was lock in a conversation with one of the neighbors that had approached. He was an old man who was retired and had nothing to do with his time but walk around the neighborhood being invasive via snooping around and bothering people.
"Yup, kids these days are just not that fun. Also, have you been working late?"
"What makes you ask that?"
"Well, I'm telling you this because I saw a car that wasn't yours come in and a guy who wasn't you get out and get in your house. Is he your brother?"
"Was he tall?"
"You bet your butt he was."
"That's my friend. I sent him here to drop off food for her. I'm just trying to survive until I can figure out how to get her out of the house when she turns eighteen. You know how it is."
"Yeah, if being a parent has taught me anything, it's that I don't like kids."
"See you soon. Don't be too careful and make sure to drive safely."
"See you later, Jim."
The DA had put on a perfect performance. He could've been nominated for an Oscar and it was just a normal Saturday for him. It would've shocked most people just seeing him on a weekday when he was really busy. Out of all the people that Alexandria had seen in her life, there was no one quite like the DA. None laughed like him and lied like him.
"Alright, back to business as usual."
The DA had suspected that she was going to try and ambush him or try to escape somehow so he quickly opened the door and silently walked through the house like a lion looking for an invading prey. Alexandria had gone to the second story in search of BB and found him not there. She quickly pieced together that there was a fake room and began to search through the place for any sign of an entrance. She knew of bookcases that led to other places, but she had only seen a corner bedroom that was most definitely a spare and a bathroom that was utterly destroyed.
"Come on, come on, there it is!"
She opened the door that was to the extra rooms in his house, and she found that the place was a site of great evil. See, the medicine cabinet held a frenzy of things including a toothbrush that hid a single switch that remotely opened the bathtub. The DA was proud of himself for doing that himself. If someone racked under the bathtub for a little bit and ended up in the crawlspace, they would find another hole that they would crawl up through and find themselves in the second story dungeon.
"Hello? I guess you're going to be stuck in here for a little bit. Hopefully I can find something good for dinner."
The DA had placed the bathtub back down to where it was and broke the switch that had allowed her to enter the dungeon. He was going to make a call to his bowling friends.
