Angelo feels the weight of his fatherly promise to protect the kingdom—but now the stakes are higher. Elara suggests sending spies and scouts, but Angelo insists on confronting the threat directly.

Lord Malrik publicly recommends negotiating with the rogue nobles to avoid war. Many in the court support him, but Angelo senses deception.
Elara uncovers correspondence linking Malrik to the bandit lord. Confronting him privately, Malrik reveals his motives: he believes the throne is weak and that only a ruthless leader can unite the kingdom.
Angelo faces a choice: expose Malrik and risk destabilizing the court, or use his knowledge strategically to turn enemies into allies. He chooses the latter, proving that true leadership requires cunning as much as courage.
The bandit lord attacks Ravencrest, a key border town. Angelo leads a combined army of loyal nobles, soldiers, and local militias.
Elara orchestrates supply lines and reinforcements, demonstrating her brilliance as queen. During battle, Angelo faces the bandit lord in single combat. The fight tests his skill, wits, and morality—he could kill his enemy, but chooses to capture him, showing mercy and earning the loyalty of previously wavering nobles.
Victory is celebrated, but Angelo and Elara know the peace is fragile.
After the siege, Angelo and Elara return to the capital. The kingdom has survived, and their bond grows stronger.
In the palace gardens, Angelo kneels before Elara: "Through fire and shadow, I have learned that a king is only as strong as his heart. Will you continue this journey with me—not as a duty, but as my queen and my love?"
