Chapter 39: Don't you know it's rude to keep a woman waiting?
Adrian stared at Grey, completely taken aback. After everything the goblins had done to him, after they had tortured him and eaten him alive, Grey was… protecting her? He knew Grey obviously wasn't aware of his past with her but still. Adrian couldn't help but feel a bit stunned by her actions. The pieces of this strange, supernatural puzzle were becoming more confusing by the second, and he had no idea how they were supposed to fit together.
"Grey," Adrian sighed before conveying his meaning through gestures. "I don't know what sort of relationship you might have with her. But right now I need you to move. They're a few things I need to ask her."
Grey turned her head slightly, her pale eyes meeting his. She then began to gesture in turn, her hands moving in the air with a confusing yet earnest intensity.
Adrian had to calm down to really understand what she was trying to say.
