While Onigumo didn't take any time to recover, the same can't be said for Blueno and Kalifa. They didn't have observation haki so, they didn't manage to react in time, so they were affected a lot by the flash and were disoriented. Ears humming, vision blurry.
While Usopp and Onigumo stopped each other, Gin went after the other agents in the room. Usopp needed backup, so it was better to clear out any distractions.
Gin returned to his original size in his hybrid form, launching himself like a wrecking ball. Going with the most powerful soru, sending a devastating punch that collided with Blueno's jaw.
Gin grinned as the sound of cracking bone echoed in the room. Blueno on his end was thrown away, teeth and blood flowing through the air, as his body colliding with Spandine. Making both of them crush through the wooden desk onto the concrete wall.
The door user found himself was planted on the thick wall.
Blueno fell first on his knees, bleeding from his mouth, not knowing what just happened. It felt like he was hit by a train. Behind him Spandine was comically still planted on the wall, like a squashed cockroach.
"You are one tough bastard," Gin's form blurred near Blueno with another punch. This time the agent managed to use iron body to reinforce his defense, and yet his body was rag-dolled onto the other side, this time colliding with Kalifa, before she could move away.
But she was able to stop Blueno with her enhanced strength, she was a member of CP9 after all. Even if she was comparatively weaker then others.
"Thanks," Blueno coughed while holding his side, almost all of his ribs were broken from the last punch. Even breathing was hard, he needed to get away.
"We need to leave, we can't face him…" Kalifa said, fear in her eyes as she looked at the savage form of Gin. She gulped remembering the monster that almost managed to kill her, shivers running down her spine.
The pirate would have followed through, but the Vice Admiral was dividing his attention between both him and Usopp giving small time for the agents to recover.
Blueno didn't question anything and tried to use his powers to make a door… but right then he was shot by two sea stone bullets rendering his powers unusable for a while. A wave of weakness rushed over his body.
"There's no damn way, I'm letting you use your powers!" Usopp said from the other side.
This wasn't a one-on-one battle. So of course Usopp took the chance when he found one.
"You aren't getting anywhere!" Gin came over like a rolling ball of destruction, finally managing to get away from Onigumo.
Blueno, seeing Gin come, used Geppo to move back, but at the last moment, the wrecking ball changed direction and hit him.
With the spikes around Gin's hybrid body, his rolled-up attack ripped through Blueno even with his iron body active.
Kalifa managed to jump out with geppo, just in time, but she was shocked by what happened to Blueno, "Blueno, no!"
"You worry about yourself missy!"
But before she could help him, she heard gunshots. By instinct, she used iron body to save herself, but still, the multiple sea stones bullets were too much for her. Ripping her from the sky onto the wall, with multiple wounds.
With that, both of the agents fell at the same time, knocked out and unconscious.
Usopp who was perching on a high piller, quickly moved away when Onigumo charged at him.
The marine in question gritted his teeth, that he the pirate managed to get past him. But at the same time, he scoffed at the so called professional agents.
Worthless lot. All of them.
Seeing this even Vice Admiral Onigumo stopped his restless attacks. "You pirates are better than I gave you credit for," He said with a frown on his face, "But… you won't be taking anyone back! Not in one piece at least…"
A malicious grin twisted Onigumo's features as he swung his sword, the blade darkening with the sheen of Armament Haki. The air quivered, feeling like it was being sliced by invisible razors. Usopp's heart dropped as he realized Onigumo's true target: not them, but their bound mates, Franky and Groot.
"Groot move!" Franky said, wiggling his form to protect the small tree creature. But with how powerful the attack was, it would be worthless.
The Vice Admiral's swords cut through the air, sending eight deadly wind slashes hurtling toward the prisoners. Each slice carried the weight of finality, power that could sunder ships now aimed at defenseless lives.
Time seemed to slow for a heart-wrenching second. Usopp's eyes widened in horror, his legs propelling him forward in a desperate bid to intercept the attack. Gin, too, lunged, his eyes ablaze with urgency.
But even in their desperate speed, only one could make it in time. Gin's monstrous form surged ahead, throwing himself in front of the prisoners, his shell back in a last-ditch defense. He was the nearest to them, only he could do it.
The wind slashes collided with Gin's shell-back with the screeching sounds of destruction. Each slash that met his back protected both Groot and Franky, but not without cost.
"Grrr…"
Blood rolled on the floor, and yet the loyal pirate stood. Almost unphased by the pure agony he had gone through, the air slashes were large, and even though Gin protected both of them, the rest of the slashes had cut through the tower of justice, destroying a good portion of it.
Usopp quickly made it to him, "Gin…"
The pirate grunted falling to his knees, before quickly picking himself up, not saying anything, turning around to face the Vice Admiral with pure hate. "You fucking bastard!"
Onigumo grinned, "What? I don't show honor to pirates…"
The others gasped seeing the deep, gaping wounds that had completely destroyed the back and left it in a bloody mess.
"I… am Groot!" the small Groot said with tears in his eyes. Blaming himself for being weak. Unlike Franky he didn't have weakness to sea stones. But due to using a lot of energy with the fight back in Water seven, he was barely able to move.
"That's a scracth…" Gin said through gritted teeth, his body was almost shaking from the pain and agony, and yet he refused to complain. By this time Usopp also came to their side, helping the prisoners.
"Usopp, free both of them so that they can leave… I will need your help if I need to beat this guy…" Usopp nodded quickly freeing Groot and Franky, but shrinking them down and bringing them back to side.
Onigumo frowned but didn't mind much. He could see that one of them was on their last leg, and he found some satisfaction in it. A thing that he would surely regret later.
As if the Vice Admiral found that amusing, and almost laughable. He rested his swords on his shoulder, "Go on… I'm one of the Vice Admirals of the Marines, no matter how strong you pigs are… your kind will always be under the foot of justice."
With that he moved his swords in a blurry motion, several wind slashes going towards their general location, "Slashing Tempest!"
But this time Gin was ready using tekkai on his whole body, he quickly became a rolling ball, stopping any of the attacks from going through.
Usopp returned to his original size, picking up both Franky and Groot (who were still small) placing them in his slingshot and aiming them at the gates as he pulled the rubber.
"This will help a bit. Leave and find the others… we will deal with this piece of shit." With that freed the tension, making both Franky and Groot scream as they were thrown away.
Now that the hostages were gone, Usopp moved back at Gin who was still acting like a shield, "We will make him pay, big guy." Usopp growled, his voice laced with an untamed fury he had never felt before. His hands gripped his revolver so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "Just hold on for a bit."
Even if Gin was spinning he could hear and understand him. Both of them moved at different sides, letting the air slashes pass through as Gin went like a wrecking ball, and Usopp went ant-sized.
Vice Admiral Onigumo scoffed, "You punks are better than what I expected… I will give you that…" he admitted, "And I wasn't sure at first… but both of you seem to know a few of the rokushiki techniques… With all of this in mind, I can't possibly let you live."
"You talk to much, shit face!" Usopp said from somwhere as several sea stone bullets made it's way towards him.
Unlike others Onigumo was able to deflect the bullets as a cruel smile dawned his face, "I'm going to enjoy this far more than I should!"
Both Gin and Usopp went all out, refusing to let the man leave the tower of justice, and promising to end him for good for what he did.
