"Your powers are really amazing, ya know that? They have gotten a lot stronger than last time." One of them said, it was none other than Jabra. The Cipher Pol agent was in his human form and wearing a mask that covered his face and nose.
Kalifa just fixed her glasses and puffed up her chest a bit, "It would have gotten even better if I was constantly using it, but I had to hold back due to the mission, ahh but it's good to know that I still got it." she chuckled.
Along with her was also Blueno and Kaku. And one thing to mention was, other than Kalifa, all of them were wearing special air filter masks on their face. It was to protect them from Kalifa's powers.
"Anyway, let's wrap this up, guys. The sun is rising, Lucci should have everything set up, so it's the best time to take our target," Kaku said before spotting Franky on the table along with Sogeking. "Also, any ideas of who the pirate group is?"
"No, clue. Most probably some new rookies… anyways, should we kill them here?" Jabra asked, giving almost a bloodthirsty grin, "I mean, I can make the kills quick…"
Kaku rolled his eyes. Jabra had been a bit bloodthirsty lately, maybe it had something to do with the failed mission where they confronted the revolutionary. Something to do with a new drug or something, Kaku didn't know. And he didn't care either.
"We have to make it fast, killing or making too much noise might bring attention to us…" Kaku was cut midway, when it happened.
"I AM GROOT!"
All of the Cipher Pol agents scattered as multiple wooden spikes were thrown their way from a tree creature that was rapidly growing in size. The creature jumped off the ship, as it roared attacking with his vines and wooden tendrils.
"Who the fuck is that?" Jabra questioned as he jumped back from one of the wooden tendrils that attacked him.
"More importantly, why isn't it affected by my powers?" Kalifa asked, "No one can escape my Sleep Sleep fruit. My Sleep gas should have knocked it out."
"Don't waste any time, we have to take care of this before any attention is brought to us…" Blueno said, before opening a door mid-air and getting in just in time to dodge some wooden spikes thrown at his previous location.
"Everyone go now! We have to take it down!" Kaku ordered, as all the Cipher Pol agents moved in unison against the young Groot.
The four CP9 agents needed to take care of things fast, the sun had already risen, which meant their mission time had begun.
While Kaku was leading the team to raid the Franky-house and capture Franky. Lucci on his end was doing his own job.
The whole mission was orchestrated by Lucci, who was much better at planning than Spandam. When the sun rose in Water Seven, Lucci took it upon himself to create a distraction so that most of the people in Water Seven were busy. And also to stop Iceburg in case he wanted to stop the CP9.
Right now, the island of Water Seven was in massive panic.
Their mayor Iceburg was attacked just before dawn by the group of infamous pirates. The Kid pirates had some disagreements with Iceburg and according to an injured Lucci, the Kid pirates tried to kill Iceburg.
The same Kid pirates that were on the island, to modify their own ship. So, now almost every able sailor of the Water Seven was out there attacking the Kid pirates and their ships. And Kid and Killer were having a hard time escaping from the place.
Of course, the Kid pirates did no such thing. It was mainly Lucci's own group, (him, Fukuro and Kumadori) that attacked IceBurg and confirmed if he had the Pluton blueprints or not.
Kid pirates were already causing a bit of trouble with the locals of Water Seven. And Lucci also needed to put the blame for Spandam's death and Iceburg's attack on someone, so they were chosen as the main targets. Now all the blame fell upon them, as they tried to leave the island.
After some forceful interrogation on Iceburg, they were able to find that Lucci's main theory was correct. Only Franky knew the locations of the blueprints.
The other CP9 team was already at Franky's house arresting the criminal for keeping such key information to himself. Also Lucci this time made it so that it looked like the Kid pirates killed off Kaku and him so even Iceburg didn't know who the traitors were.
Back at Franky House,
"I… am Groot…" the young Groot said, before falling to the floor, with multiple injuries on his body.
"Finally… the bastard is way tougher than he looks," Jabra grunted in his half-wolf zoan form, wiping the blood off his face. Like him, Kalifla, Blueno, and even Kaku had a few injuries on their body. Who would have guessed that a tree creature would be that fearsome?
Blueno grabbed the young Groot by the arm, making sure he was knocked out or not. Only after putting him in sea stone cuffs did all of them relax a bit.
"What a weird zoan fruit user, even after putting him in sea cuffs he was still in that hideous form," Jabra said.
"I don't think that's a zoan," Kalifa said, "Maybe a wood or tree paramecia? What should we do with him?"
"Let's bring him back to the base," Bleuno said, "He's still young, with proper teachings he could be a good Cipher Pol agent in the future…"
Jabra grunted, "Don't act all smug… I know you are going to try and give him to your new master," he said with a grin as he returned back to his normal form, "I aint against that, but if you are going to do a favor include as well… And if that's the case, then let's take the other kid as well. I'm pretty sure those white wings on her back were real."
Of course, all of them knew what Jabra meant, they had been keeping an eye on the group for a few hours now. So they did see Aisa, and with her having wings, it was no secret that she was from one of the sky islands.
Only sky island people had white wings, which were quite precious to the World Nobles. But they were more or less meant to be slaves rather than trained, especially since it was female.
"We have a mission here," Kaku said, stopping both Bleuno and Jabra, as he picked up Franky over his shoulder, "Also let's not waste any time here."
If it was Rob Lucci then Jabra would have listened, but Lucci wasn't around so he wouldn't take orders from Kaku.
