Chapter 152 - Chapter 350

350

With Luffy,

Luffy came back to Shandora, along with Sabo and Sparky. Their reasoning being simple, to bring Usopp and the rest of the group up to where the Ark Maximum was. Well, mainly Usopp.

He wanted to find Usopp to make the ship smaller. While the Ship wasn't made for the blue sea, the wood was strong, and the ingenuity of it was quite amazing. Even Sabo was able to pilot the ship with his new powers after a bit of tinkering.

He wanted to make the ship small, so that it would be easy to carry, and maybe analyze it in Water 7. A flying ship was no joke.

Enel, for how much of an arrogant bastard he was, was also brilliant. He made this ship, just from studying old ships from the blue sea that would occasionally come here.

And if anyone could replicate or improve the technology, then it would be Franky or Iceburg. Luffy had also decided to give the ship, and the gold that made up the interior, to Sabo. A flying ship was a really good way to travel and he was sure, back in the Revolutionary Army, that someone would be able to make a smaller version of it.

Still, Luffy wasn't going to give all the gold of the Ark Maximum to Sabo. Of course not.

If you combine all the gold that Enel collected out of Shandora and divide it up into three equal portions. Then Ark Maximum took two portions of it to make.

Not only were the engine, and internals made out of gold, there were a bunch of unnecessary decorations made out of gold as well. So other than the important Gold parts that made up the ship, Luffy decided to take away the other portions of the gold.

Meaning he was only going to give the Revolutionary Army one portion of the gold. Which was honestly quite a lot. But he didn't mind sharing.

Honestly, he would have preferred to give Sabo and the Revolutionary Army more. Mainly because he wanted their help to take down Doflamingo.

Sure he could take him down alone, but as a Warlord, he couldn't fight him. But Sabo could. So the credit would go to the Revolutionary Army and his entire underground operation would be up for taking.

Now why would Luffy want to take in the underground operation controlled by Dolfamingo? Well, the bastard mainly had a monopoly on the black market.

Even back in East Blue, illegal weapons, fruits or even info could only be bought through official means from Joker. So, this would connect him to all the blues, making it easier for his CDS to take over.

But that wasn't all. Joker also knew a lot about the secrets of the World Nobles, so a bit of 'encouragement' after catching him alive should be enough to get that as well. Luffy remembered in canon how even the World Nobles were hesitant to work against him.

Even sending in assassins into Impel Down to silence him after his capture. So this should be easy. Also, in this way, he might actually be able to know something about Saint Camael and maybe beyond. Doflamingo did know about Imu.

Anyway, there was another reason why he wasn't giving Sabo more gold. Why? Because the lightning logia was officially broken.

Somehow, Sabo had found a way to mix his Observation Haki with his lightning logia powers. Now that wasn't too surprising, since Enel did that, and literally became an over-sized spy microphone.

No, what was surprising was the fact that Sabo was able to pick up distinct metals by channeling his powers underground. Basically making Sabo a metal detector, or gold detector to be exact.

As he currently is, he was most proficient in working with gold. Meaning, if Sabo went from island to island, which the Revolutionary Army had control over, Luffy was sure he would be able to find at least a few undiscovered gold or silver mines. Talk about being hax!

As Luffy came down to Shandora, he and Sabo stopped mid-air.

"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting a dancing snake." Sabo mused. Sparky who was on his shoulder nodded.

The giant snake, Nola, the one who had lived for more than four hundred years, danced gleefully at the bell's sound.

But while others were musing at the situation, Luffy was frowning. "Hey, Sabo, Sparky… is it me, or are you guys unable to pick up Sanji and others' auras?"

Sabo and Sparky snapped their necks at Luffy and quickly activated their Observation Haki. Sabo going as far as to encompass the whole island. But like Luffy, he came up with nothing.

"This… this might be a problem," Sabo said.

Luffy's frown deepened as he looked at his brother, "Can you go up and bring the rest of the crew down…? I think this might be a problem."

Sabo nodded, turned into lightning zipping through the air with the fastest speed he could manage. Sparky also moved in towards the giant snake without Luffy's order, hitting up a conversation with the giant snake about the possible location of his crewmates.

The giant snake was surprised, but when Sparky explained it was his crewmates that set up the bell. The giant snake started to help the little monkey. Calling up other animals to look for any clues about where they might have gone.

Luffy also came down near the Giant Golden Bell that was automatically ringing. Though the sound was much less than what he expected. It surely wouldn't reach the blue sea. And speaking of the Golden Bell, this wasn't supposed to be here as well.

It seemed his crewmates had taken down the Golden Bell from where it was, and planted it into its rightful place. But if that's the case, where were they? He was getting a blank from his Observation Haki and something told me that this Bell might be the reason for it.

Maybe stopping the Bell from ringing would do something?

As Luffy walked forward, wanting to touch the bell, he was stopped by a blue barrier that zapped him, making him jump back. This… this was definitely not supposed to happen.

He cocked back his fist, channeling Advanced Armament Haki into his fist, but stopped when he heard his nameless naginata call up.

'Don't do that…' Luffy's blade called out, stopping him mid way. 'You wouldn't be able to do anything… but even if you can… this place might explode if you use too much force.'

'What?"

'Don't you sense it? The whole island is like a bomb! Use your Observation Haki.'

Luffy blinked, and used his Observation Haki. Mainly using it in his eyes, like how he did with Blackbeard and looked around. And his nameless Naginata was right…

He jumped into the air, using Geppo to get a bird's eye view. And with the help of his Observation Haki he saw it, it seemed a good portion around Shandora was channeling some kind of energy. And it almost looked like a series of underground structures was beneath the earth. Structures that reminded him of an underground labyrinth.

'How did I miss that? Was it always like this?' Several other questions popped up in his mind.

But he found no answer.

'Its not… If this kind of energy was visible I would have sensed it before.' His nameless naginata gave him a small answer. 'Call it a hunch, but whatever happened to your crewmates, that might be the reason…' there was a pause before it continued, 'I have seen this once before… they might be inside a dungeon.'

"A what?!"
