Chapter 12 - ch 12 . “When Monsters Meet Masters" .. .

The ruined street was bathed in pale moonlight, cracked stone and shattered debris strewn across the ground. Silence hung like a heavy fog—broken only by distant howls and the faint dripping of blood.

Swordman A and B stepped forward, their stances perfect, every movement precise and lethal. Muscles coiled like springs, eyes sharp, blades ready to strike.Swordman B asked himself.

"Alright then… let's bring this show to an end."

Without warning, Swordman A lunged. His blade flashed like lightning—blinding, unstoppable—cutting Rakuza's head cleanly to one side. A spray of blood arced through the air, glinting under the moonlight.

Simultaneously, Swordman B's hands shot out, gripping Hanka's head. With a force that seemed inhuman, he tore it from the body in one fluid motion. The Chaos Demon's crimson eyes widened, a flicker of horror crossing his usually unshakable expression.

Swordman A didn't pause. Dakar raised his claws to defend, but Swordman B vanished in a heartbeat, reappearing behind him. A single, clean strike sent Dakar's head tumbling to the ground. Yukar and Takari froze, voices cracking, "Please, Lord, protect us!" They looked to the Chaos Demon for guidance—but choas demon asked nothing and he only smiled creepily,

Time slowed for a heartbeat. Then Swordman A's blade cut through the night, slicing Takari's stomach in a blinding arc, his face following in the same instant. Swordman B seized the moment, gripping Takari with a roar, "Attack now!"

In perfect unison, Swordman A spun through the air like a storm, a whirlwind of steel and deadly grace. Takari fell, severed, the crimson tide painting the cracked street below.

They moved their swords in unison, the crimson blood clinging to the blades dripping onto the cracked floor below. Without a word, Swordman A and B began walking forward, each step radiating unstoppable power, a force that seemed capable of carving through destruction itself.

The ruined street fell silent as they approached the house. On the rooftop, Chaos Demon sat like a king, his crimson eyes fixed on the approaching warriors, a cruel grin stretching across his face.

Swordman B stepped forward slightly, voice heavy and commanding, cutting through the tense air:

"Now it's time… You haven't run in fear, have you?"

The question hung like a challenge. The wind swirled around the two swordsmen, their blades gleaming even in the moonlight, reflecting the blood and chaos behind them. Every heartbeat seemed to echo with anticipation—the final confrontation was about to begin.

The Chaos Demon's creepy smile slowly twisted into pure, vicious anger.

With a heavy jump, he landed in front of the two swordsmen.

For a moment, the three of them just stared at each other—silent, serious.

The Chaos Demon spoke first.

"You two… are strong. You killed my strongest demons."

His voice cracked with rage.

"But you killed the wrong demons… they were like children to me."

His expression shifted to calm as he said, "But they were weak. If they were strong, they would be standing here, not lying dead on the floor. And I don't like the weak."

"Killing them is fine.I don't feel bad about it at all.

Creepily smiling.

"Because in the burning battlefield, only one thing survives — either you kill the one who stands against you, or you yourself become his ashes."

"And you… you chose the absolutely correct path."

They were like my sons… little weak, but useful. That's ok , But attempting to disrespect me, the Great Chaos Demon… that is the biggest mistake of your miserable lives."

He leaned forward, grinning.

"I'll make sure it becomes the regret of your existence—even your souls will beg me for mercy."

Then suddenly, he tilted his head, smiling strangely.

"But first… tell me your names. Please."

He burst into laughter.

The two swordsmen had no idea what he was trying to do.

They couldn't understand anything. They thought, What is this thing? We destroyed his strongest demon, smashed all his weapons… and yet, it still seems like it knows our names.

He repeated, louder this time, voice cracking with curiosity.

"Tell me your names! You kept this suspense for so long—now even I'm curious."

"Just tell me already. If I don't even know the names of the ones I killed, what's the fun in that?

Come on, tell me… so I can add you two to my list of the dead."

Swordman A stepped forward.

Swordman A:

"Enough. I'm done with your strange games."

"If your last wish is to know the names of the men who will kill you—and give you a dog's death—then listen."

He pointed his blade at the demon.

"I am the King of Assassination, one of the fastest assassination swordmasters in Japan."

"I have killed demons I can't even count."

"Descendant of the legendary Kotoma Assassin Clan."

"One of the Seven Masters of the Protectors."

He raised his sword.

"My name… is Inazari Kotoma."

The Chaos Demon smiled and said, "I like your style."

Then demon turned to the large man.

Chaos Demon:

"And what about that bodybuilder?"

He pointed at Swordman B.

Swordman B cracked his neck, his voice heavy and thunderous.

"I am the Shield of the Protectors."

"My fists rise for justice, and to protect humans from monsters like you.My presence is a death sentence for demons like you."

"Descendant of Japan's strongest raw-power clan, the great Yukon family—whose fists break mountains."

"One of the strongest Masters of the Protectors."

He slammed his fists together.

"My name is Fujikawa Yukon."

The Chaos Demon grinned.

"Hoho… I knew it. Protectors."

"The useless swordsmen who waste their time saving humans."

"I heard about your base from one of my friend … the funny part is, I was planning to destroy it next."

He leaned closer, voice dropping into a deep growl.

"But look… my meal came walking to me on its own two legs."

"Now it's my duty to give you the most brutal death possible."

Inazari's Inner Thought

"So he really is the Chaos Demon… the strongest monster our warriors have ever faced."

"His power… it's far above my expectations . I can feel his power clearly

"He didn't even care his strongest weapons were killed in front of him."

"We must attack with full power. If we give him even a second. We will have to pay a heavy price for this."

⚔️ The Fight Explodes

With full speed, Inazari vanished and reappeared on the demon's right side, swinging his sword with maximum force.

At the same moment, Fujikawa came from the left, delivering a brutal punch straight to the demon's chest.

BOOOOM!!!

Dust exploded everywhere.

From a distance, villagers stared, shocked.

"That assassin moved so fast… my eyes couldn't follow…"

"And that punch… we felt the pressure from here!"

"This attack was extremely dangerous

"No demon can survive that!"

But when the dust faded…

All the villagers were shocked.

The Chaos Demon was standing unharmed.

He had blocked Inazari's sword with his mouth, holding the blade between his teeth.

And he had blocked Fujikawa's punch with his knee, not even using his hands.

Both swordsmen were stunned.

Suddenly—

BAM! The demon's left fist smashed into Inazari's stomach.

BAM! His right fist slammed into Fujikawa's abdomen.

With a creepy smile, his arms crossed like a scissor strike.

Inazari flew backwards like a cannonball, smashing through one house, then another, then a third—buried in rubble.

Fujikawa, however, stood his ground, barely moving.

Even the demon looked surprised and said.

"Your endurance… it's impressive."

Fujikawa grabbed the demon's hand and slammed an elbow into his chin.

CRACK!

Chaos Demon retaliated instantly—

KNEE!

His knee smashed into Fujikawa's ribs. Blood sprayed from Fujikawa's mouth.

Before Fujikawa could recover, the demon grabbed his jaw and threw him into the ground.

He grabbed him by the neck, yanked him up from the ground, and drove a brutal elbow into him, then threw him crashing back down to the ground again.

Chaos Demon:

"Haah? I thought you were powerful. Turns out you're just filled with gas, not strength."

"Come on… stand. Don't disappoint me."

But suddenly—

Fujikawa grabbed the demon's leg and slammed him into the floor.

Inazari reappeared, grabbing his fallen sword and pulling it back as far as he could.

He jumped—

SLASH!!!

The blade cut deep across the demon's right chest.

Black blood sprayed everywhere.

Chaos Demon touched the wound, shocked… then smiled and he licked his blood.

And he thought, Their weapons are strong… they even managed to draw blood from me.

He grew even more excited and asked,

"Humans… you really are interesting."

"Hundreds of years… since I last saw my own blood."

His smile vanished.

In the next instant—

He disappeared from there like strom.

He reappeared between both swordsmen.

"Too slow."

He punched Inazari downward, elbowed him from above, then smashed his head into the ground.

"ha, skinny swordsman… you are truly weak. Your body is unimpressive. You survive only because of your skills. You should pay attention to your physical strength as well."

Fujikawa roared and delivered a brutal knee to the demon's back—

Then unleashed a rain of punches.

Each hit shook the ground.

Even the Chaos Demon spat blood.

Then—

He disappeared.

And reappeared behind Fujikawa.

"Your punches are a little weak."

"Let me show you a proper example of brutality."

A rain of monstrous punches fell on Fujikawa's back—

6… 7… 8 strikes—

Fujikawa finally collapsed, unconscious.

Bloody fist marks covered his back.

⚠️ The Swordmen Army Charges

Chaos Demon grabbed Inazari's neck and lifted him into the air.

The village panicked.

"Those two were our last hope!"

"Please save them!"

The entire swordsman army, injured and bleeding, ran forward.

Chaos Demon tossed Inazari aside and began walking toward them like a walking disaster.

"Come, insects. Entertain me."

"Come on… let's have more fun."

They ran toward him with fear in their eyes.

Chaos Demon:

"At this speed, you'll reach me by tomorrow."

He flashed forward—

Appearing before the first swordsman and throwing a brutal punch.

The man saw the fist grow huge in his vision.

He closed his eyes.

Death was coming.

But—

CLANG!!!

Inazari blocked the punch with his sword.

His body was covered in bleeding cuts, barely standing.

He roared—

"ULTRA SLASH!!!"

He vanished into blinding speed, cutting the demon again and again—

So fast even the Chaos Demon couldn't follow.

With one final strike—

SLAAAASH!!!

He sliced the Chaos Demon's entire right hand off.

Black blood exploded.

Everyone froze in shock.

All the villagers and swordsmen were shocked. And I—one of them—asked, Yes… they cut off one of his arms! Now we finally have a chance to win.

Everyone was thinking, Yes… this is right.

The Chaos Demon asked, "Can you talk about that?"

Everyone was shocked to see it.

The Chaos Demon's severed hand regenerated in seconds, flesh twisting like burning shadows. Before Inazari could react, the newly formed fist drove straight into his stomach.

BOOM!!

The impact was so strong it sent Inazari flying backward like a ragdoll—slamming into rooftops, breaking through almost thirty soldiers, and finally crashing into the ground in a cloud of shattered wood and dust.

The Chaos Demon didn't even pause. He grabbed a trembling swordsman , lifting him like a toy.

"Tell me…" he whispered, voice cold and playful. "How should I kill you?

Shall I crush your head…?"

He slowly raised his claw to the man's skull.

"Or should I push my claw… into your stomach—"

his voice twisted into a sick pleasure,

"—and drag it all the way up to your head?"

The swordsman screamed, "HELP! HELP!! SOMEONE HELP MEEE—!"

The Chaos Demon laughed wildly.

"Yes! Scream louder! More fear! MORE!

Your fear… makes me feel alive!"

Fear is the reality of humans. When they are afraid, they lose their swordsmanship, their honor, everything. And they only beg for mercy.

He lifted his middle finger, sharpened like a black spear… and stabbed it into the man's stomach.

Then slowly—very slowly—he began to push upward, slicing through flesh like a knife through paper. Blood poured down like rain.

But then—

A massive shadow fell over his head.

The Chaos Demon sensed danger. He tilted his head slightly, and saw it—

a big and bulky sword, wide enough to cut a demon in half, descending toward him.

"What—!?"

He leapt backward just in time—

WHAM!!

A brutal kick smashed into his stomach, sending him skidding across the ground until he crashed into a broken house.

Dust cleared.

Fujikawa stood tall, holding the enormous blade—its edge filled with killing intent.

He growled,

"I promised myself I would never use this.

But when it's life or death…

When people are helpless…

I bring it out."

He raised the blade in a ready stance.

"You forced me, demon.

Now you die."

"Now… you will witness the true power of one of the strongest masters of the Protectors."

The Chaos Demon rose slowly, his grin gone, replaced by a cold, calculating stare.

That strike… it could've cut through my shoulder.

My skin is harder than iron, yet this blade sliced me.

He touched the wound on his chest; black blood dripped heavily.

These aren't ordinary weapons…

This sword can cut mountains.

And worse—its cuts slow my regeneration.

He forced pressure into his body, muscles bulging as he healed, but the process was noticeably slower.

"The Chaos Demon was starting to realize it—his regeneration was slowing down.

All because of their special weapons."

I underestimated them, he thought.

These "Protectors"… are stronger than I expected.

"Looks like I really have to get serious now."

The Chaos Demon's eyes glowed red as he walked forward and stood in front of Fugikawa. They stared at each other, deadly serious, as if willing death upon one another.
