Chapter 2 - Galadriel

"So basically… I'm the hero you've been waiting for? The chosen one who's gonna slay the big bad Demon King with the powers blessed upon me by the Moon Goddess and bring salvation to the world, right?"

The silver-haired woman smiled gently. "Yes, only you can save us, our Hero."

Adrian nodded slowly.

Damn, what a beauty. Elegant voice, eyes like magic… and that hair? Straight out of a fantasy anime.

If I'm going to be the hero, I'll need a hero's party… and she's definitely going on the team.

Preferably in the waifu slot.

He cleared his throat . Trying his best to act cool, he stepped forward, extended his hand, and gave a polite bow with what he assumed was noble flair.

"My lady, may I have the honor of knowing your name and identity?"

Nice. Watching all those anime finally paid off. That noble speech sounded legit.

The woman stared at him for a second as if deciding whether he was serious or just dumb. Then, with a grace that made him feel like a total caveman, she placed her hand in his.

"I am Galadriel Lunaria, High Priestess of the Moon Temple and guide to the Chosen One."

Galadriel? Holy shit, even her name sounds expensive.

I hope I don't screw this up.

Adrian held her hand gently, leaned forward, and gave it a light kiss. "I am Adrian the Great. It's an honor to meet you, Galadriel."

Her eyebrows lifted slightly. A flicker of amusement touched her lips, but she didn't pull away. "The blessing ceremony will begin tomorrow. But first, you must rest and freshen up."

Shit. Now that I think about it…

Adrian glanced down at his wrinkled T-shirt and torn trousers. His hair was a sweaty mess, and he probably smelled like cheap beer and debt.

Why'd I get summoned looking like a last-minute deadbeat? Would've been nice if they gave me a handsome body too.

He gave a nervous laugh. "Haha, yeah. The summoning must've, uh… messed up my appearance a bit. Let me freshen up first."

Galadriel nodded, her smile returning. "Gladly, Mr. Adrian. This is Toru. From now on, he'll be your personal attendant. He will assist you with anything you need."

A tall man in his forties stepped forward—suited, straight-backed, and absurdly elegant. His sharp jawline, neatly combed black hair, and dignified presence screamed "noble butler." Even his mustache looked better groomed than Adrian's entire existence.

"An honor to serve you, Hero Adrian," Toru said with a bow.

Adrian blinked. "Ah, thank you."

Nice. I'm getting the royal treatment. Hell yeah.

Later That Night

After freshening up, Adrian stepped into his room—and for a moment, just stood there in awe.

This place looks like a damn king's chamber.

Polished marble floors. Velvet curtains. A bed big enough to land a dragon on. A crystal chandelier overhead. Even the fireplace looked expensive, flickering softly with pale blue flames. Everything screamed royalty.

He walked toward the massive mirror across the room and looked at himself. A smug little grin crept across his face.

"Huh. Not bad."

He was about 5'11". Not tall enough to be intimidating, but not short enough to be laughed at. Though here, where everyone looked like tall, elegant elves, he felt… average.

Adrian wasn't ugly—at least not back on Earth. Maybe a 6 out of 10. With the right lighting. But after the luxurious bath, fresh linens, and whatever magic shampoo they used here, he might be pulling off a solid 7. Maybe even 7.5 on a good day.

His dark hair was still messy but no longer greasy. His pupils looked darker than usual, like shadows deepened with purpose.

I should get a haircut… something that screams "main character." Maybe spiky with a side bang or some legendary anime flow.

He sighed and adjusted the collar of his new robe—silver and blue, with faintly glowing threads stitched like constellations. High-quality fantasy fashion. If nothing else, at least he looked the part.

Still can't believe I introduced myself as "Adrian the Great."God, I was so puffed up I almost cringed out of existence.

But the ceremony was tomorrow. That was the real deal—the moment that would decide his fate in this world. He could feel it.

If I get some super legendary divine skill, I'll be unstoppable. A cheat ability. Infinite stats. Time control. Dimensional slash. Something badass.

He paused, staring out the moonlit window. Two full moons hung high in the night sky, glowing like watchful eyes.

Let's not overthink it. Don't jinx it.

Still, his nerves wouldn't let him rest. Kneeling awkwardly on the polished floor, he raised one hand toward the sky in theatrical reverence.

"Oh Moon Goddess," he said dramatically, "since you've summoned me here, please bless me with some ultra rare, overpowered ability. I swear I'll devote myself to your divine greatness and slay every demon in your name."

He waited for a sign.

Silence.

"…Please?" he added sheepishly.

Still nothing.

He sighed again, falling backwards onto the bed with a flop. "Ugh. Worth a shot."

Tomorrow, everything would change. He could feel it in his bones—or maybe that was just the soft mattress. Either way… he wasn't going back.
