(KRYSTAL'S POV)
The first thing I do when we get to the safe is head straight for the bathroom in my room and strip.
I step under the spray of hot water and let it beat down on my skin. I close my eyes and my shoulders drop as the tension leaves my body.
Today was a total mess. Who could've known we'd get ambushed by border officers. Then there's Bruno being a dumbass. Valentino getting held back. And that car ride with Raffaele.
I just wonder how long Val and the others are going to be held up at the airport.
When I finally turn the water off, my skin is warm and slightly flushed. I dry off, pull on a soft nightgown, and crawl into bed, telling myself I just need sleep. That once I close my eyes, my brain will shut the fuck up.
But it doesn't.
I stare at the ceiling, replaying everything I shouldn't be thinking about. The way Raffaele looked at me in the car. The way his voice dropped when he got close. The way my body reacted to his touch even when my mouth was saying no.
