116. Yuna, the Little Angel
Yun Ling arrived at the classroom and could clearly sense that the way the students looked at him was different.
A different kind of fear had appeared.
Yun Ling pretended to slam his backpack onto the desk, making a loud noise. Everyone around him jumped in fright and stared at him in terror.
It was actually quite amusing.
Yun Ling lay down on the desk and started to sleep. The classroom was almost completely silent; no one dared to disturb him.
"Toilet God of War," "Unscathed One-on-Twenty," and "Newly Rising School Bully"—these three titles practically make him the local tyrant of Chiba Academy.
Incidentally, the first title was given to him when he taught a hot girl's boyfriend a lesson, but he wasn't as famous then as he is now.
Yesterday, he got into a fight on the rooftop, today he made a scene at the school gate, and now the whole school knows him.
Those who targeted him and those who slandered him are all trembling in fear, afraid of Yun Ling's retaliation.
"Yun Ling, you're not really going to become some kind of school bully, are you?" Mei asked him worriedly.
"I've never thought of that," Yun Ling immediately denied.
He didn't want to be mistaken for some strange leader.
Besides, he hated school bullying. If it weren't for his good fighting skills yesterday, he'd probably be the one lying on the ground.
He won Mei and Yuna's hearts by stopping school bullying; how could he possibly get involved?
"You seemed to be having a lot of fun this morning," Kiana called out, exposing his lie.
"Well, don't you think their change in attitude is interesting? From their initial fawning and obsequiousness, to their subsequent disgust after their true colors were revealed, and now to their fear of provoking me." Yun Ling stroked his chin, recalling something amusing.
What a fickle group of people!
"Now that you mention it, it does seem quite interesting," Kiana chuckled, recalling the classmates' changing attitudes.
"You guys..." Mei sighed, rubbing her forehead. Although those people had betrayed her, she hadn't considered seeking revenge.
In fact, she should thank them for making her face reality and recognize who her true friends were.
"So, Yun Ling, what do you plan to do with them?" Yuna returned to the initial question.
"Let them be. It's none of my business," Yun Ling said nonchalantly, lounging comfortably on Yuna's pale lap, gazing at the half-sky that remained.
"At most, I'll just tell them to stop these fights and such."
Fearing they might use his name to cause trouble, Yun Ling added.
It's almost March, and the start of the story is drawing ever closer.
When the honkai eruption occurs, life and death will be left to fate.
The three of them had no objections to Yun Ling's approach, mainly because they couldn't think of any better solutions.
Disbanding the group was definitely out of the question; breaking up one small group in a Far East school would only lead to the emergence of a new one.
Rather than letting a new group appear, it's better to keep them under control; maybe they can even contribute to purifying the school environment.
Of course, the four of them also enjoyed the benefits of being called 'school bullies'.
For example, the right to use the toilet alone, the right to cut in line at the cafeteria, etc...
Of course, they didn't ask for these things; it's just that everyone instinctively avoids them when they arrive.
The happiest of all was Asaka Yuna; in the past few days, people had been coming to apologize to her—all of them people who had bullied her in the past. She no longer had to live timidly; she could hold her head high and face others with confidence.
And all of this was thanks to Yun Ling.
Asaka Yuna secretly vowed to always obey Yun Ling and never, ever leave his side.
Yun Ling was her savior, her god!
"Yun Ling...likes..." Asaka Yuna buried her face in her pillow, recalling Yun Ling's appearance, her cheeks flushing slightly.
The girl fell asleep with sweet little thoughts.
The next morning, Asaka Yuna got ready to leave, but she accidentally woke up her mother, who had been drinking heavily the night before.
"You're so noisy all day long! What good are you? Going to this lousy school...you should have gone out and started working to help support the family, you good-for-nothing!"
Asaka Yuna's mother swallowed her beer and then threw the can at Asaka Yuna.
Asaka Yuna, caught off guard, was hit on the head by a can still containing spilled liquor.
Liquor overflowed from the can, spilling all over her.
Yuna's clean school uniform was instantly stained, leaving some liquor stains.
Yuna gritted her teeth, but there was nothing she could do.
She picked up the can from the ground, threw it in the trash can, and hurriedly ran back to her room to change into her school uniform, which she had washed the day before but wasn't completely dry.
She then washed the liquor-stained uniform and rushed to Yun Ling's doorstep.
The two had been waiting there for quite some time and were somewhat puzzled by Yuna's hurried appearance.
"Sorry... I'm late," Yuna said somewhat apologetically.
"Did you oversleep?" Yun Ling asked.
"Huh? Um... I stayed up too late watching movies last night." Yuna nodded.
"It's okay, let's go." Mei nodded.
Mei and Yuna had become quite familiar with each other. Perhaps due to their similar circumstances, she didn't show any malice towards Yuna.
However, today was quite unusual. Yuna didn't hug Yun Ling's arm, but instead carried her schoolbag with both hands, walking side by side with Yun Ling.
Yun Ling's nose twitched slightly; he could smell some residual moisture on Yuna's clothes.
Were her clothes still damp?
Yun Ling knew nothing about Yuna's family situation. Yuna had never mentioned it, and Yun Ling had never asked about it, so naturally, he didn't know what had happened.
Yun Ling manipulated the moisture on Yuna's clothes, slowly dispersing it into the air.
Yuna immediately felt much drier.
Kiana, with a piece of bread in her mouth, waved to the three of them.
"Why are you so late today?" Kiana asked, slightly annoyed.
Yuna blushed, a little embarrassed.
"I...I'm sorry...I overslept..." Yuna apologized cautiously.
"Ah...it's not your fault, don't be like that." Kiana, seeing Yuna's expression, immediately lost her temper.
The four walked towards the school, greeting some of their underlings along the way.
They said things like "Hello, Big Brother" and "Hello, Sisters-in-law."
But Kiana always chased them away, blushing.
"Can't you do something about it?" Kiana looked at Yun Ling, seriously suspecting that Yun Ling had conspired with them.
Even ordered them to call them that.
"Isn't this great? It means that in other people's eyes, we're a couple. Great, my harem already has three members, let's keep it up!" Yun Ling said with an encouraging air.
Then he was knocked to the ground by Kiana and Mei.
"Yun Ling-kun..."
Only Yuna, the little angel, was left frantically standing there, concerned about Yun Ling.
