Leaving aside their opposing stances, Tsukisaki was on the verge of death. Unless he had Tenjirō Kirinji's healing hot springs, Kaidō alone could not save her. He had come for another purpose.
"Miss Kurosaki, do not be alarmed. You chose not to kill my students in Karakura Town, so I will not kill those two children," Sora said softly.
"However, I would like to borrow a little of your blood."
Sora knew very well that Shinigami had their limits. Yamamoto Genryūsai was currently the pinnacle, and Aizen Sōsuke had the potential to reach it. If Sora played his cards right, it was not impossible for him to reach that limit as well. But if he wanted to surpass it, he would need power beyond that of a Shinigami.
The power of a Hollow, a Quincy, or the Soul King all had the potential to allow a Shinigami to break through their limits and become a transcendent being. Now, faced with a rare opportunity to encounter a pure-blood Quincy, Sora did not want to miss it.

When a human soul dies in the world of the living, some go to the Soul Society, and some become Hollows. When a Shinigami uses a Zanpakutō to slay a Hollow, they are not destroying it, but purifying its sins. The purified soul then returns to the Soul Society. When a soul dies there, it is reincarnated in the world of the living. This cycle maintains a relative balance between the three realms.
But when a Quincy destroys a Hollow, they completely annihilate the soul. If this continues, the balance of the three realms will be lost, leading to destruction.
Sora suddenly thought of a question. The young Ichigo Kurosaki's Zangetsu was actually his Quincy power, with his true Shinigami power suppressed. "A pure-blood's Ransōtengai is very difficult to deal with. If my Kaidō skills weren't decent, I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to provide medical support for Captain Jikkyō afterward," Sora said.
"Then your merits are more than enough to silence the mouths of those in Central 46," Unohana smiled. "Pure-blood Quincy are rare, and adult ones are certainly tough opponents."
"Professor, there's a heavily injured person here!" Yoruichi shouted, carrying a wounded soldier in with another Stealth Force member.
After experiencing a brutal war, Yoruichi had matured considerably. There was less naivete in her eyes and more of a steady calm.
