"It worked!" The fish on Rii Hoshino's table came back to life.

"Congratulations! I knew you could do it!" Yoruichi said. "I just ran into Headmaster Kotetsu; she called the professor away."

In the Headmaster's office—
"Katori-kun, your performance has far exceeded my expectations," Ayane Kotetsu said, pouring Sora a cup of tea.
"The 6th-year class you took over originally had twenty-six students, right? Apart from the two who died unexpectedly, all the others have graduated successfully."
She had been worried about handing a graduating class to a new Professor, but he had done much better than she could have hoped, especially during the practical exam in Karakura Town.
Sora nodded. "Apart from Ōno Kīta and Homura Kudanoki, all the other students' names were on the list."
The results of the practical exam were the deciding factor. Due to the incident in Karakura Town, all surviving students received a passing grade, which was all that was needed to become a Shinigami.
