The silence of the night deepened. David and Liana were still sound asleep in the room. Liana slept in a sitting position, leaning against the headboard, while David was peacefully unconscious on her lap, his hand still tightly clutching Liana.
Right at midnight, David suddenly twitched slightly in his sleep. His body tensed. Liana felt the movement, and also felt cold sweat soaking David forehead resting on her thigh.
David started talking in his sleep. His voice was faint, but filled with pain and panic.
"Sister... don't go... don't leave me..." David whimpered.
Liana, feeling this, woke up immediately. She was confused seeing David rambling and sweating profusely. Liana knew David was having a terrible nightmare.
Liana gently began to stroke David hair. "Sir... Mr. David, wake up. It's just a nightmare," Liana whispered, trying to calm David down.
Liana shook David shoulder slowly. "Wake up, Mr. David. Wake up."
