Chapter 149 - Chapter 149 The script is wrong! War Machine didn’t come, so why did Spider-Man come?

"Of course."

William's voice remained calm; he even had the leisure to pat a chunk of concrete knocked off a pillar by a stray bullet.

"This isn't even a risk, Tandy. This is a 'product demonstration'."

"Product demonstration?!"

The explosions' firelight flickered, illuminating William's unperturbed face.

He looked at Iron Man, who was dodging clumsily amidst a hail of bullets in the distance, then glanced at Tyrone, who was too scared to speak but instinctively shielded Tandy behind him.

"Exactly, a product demonstration."

William pulled the two of them, keeping close to the wall, skillfully avoiding a screaming crowd rushing past, and moved towards a relatively secluded side door of the exhibition hall.

"Ivan Vanko is showing potential buyers, Terrorists, rogue nations, or any billionaire who dislikes Stark, just how powerful his new products are to the entire World."

"You see,"

He pointed to the sky.

"Those pieces of junk from Hammer Industries, under his control, can chase the famous Iron Man all over the sky. Is there any better advertisement than this?"

"That idiot Justin Hammer is still panicking over 'technical glitches', unaware that his company's stock price might skyrocket after tonight due to 'excellent combat performance'."

Tyrone's mouth twitched; he felt that his boss's brain structure must be different from normal people.

At a time like this, he was actually analyzing business value?

"Then... what do we do?" Tandy asked tremblingly, "Mr. Stark... will he be alright?"

"Don't worry, he won't die."

William's tone was very certain.

"He is Tony Stark. He's best at surviving the messes he creates, and coming out even better."

"What we need to do now isn't to worry about him, but to find a safe place, preferably with a good view, to enjoy this multi-billion dollar fireworks show."

As he spoke, they had already snuck into an exhibition hall introducing clean energy technology, crouching low.

Everyone here had long since fled, leaving only some device models glowing with blue light and scattered promotional brochures.

William found a corner protected by a thick load-bearing wall, took two bottles of Water from his briefcase, and handed them to the two interns.

"Drink some Water, calm your nerves."

He himself walked to the window, observing the situation outside like a battlefield Commander.

The sky was completely lit up by fire and thick smoke.

Dozens of drone mechs formed an impenetrable net of Firepower, besieging the Gold-Red figure from all directions.

Lasers, missiles, and dense bullets poured down like a storm on a firefly, raining down madly.

Iron Man performed various incredible maneuvers in the air, his palm's Impact cannon constantly blasting away approaching drones.

But those machines were fearless; one destroyed, two immediately replaced it.

Tandy and Tyrone also came closer, watching the scene outside, which resembled a sci-fi war movie, their hearts pounding.

"This is too crazy..." Tandy murmured to herself.

"He can't handle so many by himself." Tyrone's brows furrowed; he could feel the aura of death permeating the air.

William didn't speak; his gaze quickly scanned the battlefield, but his brows furrowed slightly.

Something was wrong.

He felt a bit strange.

According to his understanding of the plot, at this time, another Iron armor should have come out to help.

Tony's good friend, Colonel James Rhodes, the "War Machine" wearing a suit of heavy Firepower equipment.

Hammer Industries had sold most of its assets to the Military this time, and Rhodes, as a Military representative, should have been there, wearing that most advanced armor, to hold the fort.

But now, only Tony Stark was fighting alone in the sky.

Where was War Machine?

Could it be that Ivan Vanko's hacking skills were too strong, even hacking the Military-exclusive system?

Countless possibilities flashed through William's mind.

Butterfly effect?

Without War Machine's restraint, Tony Stark's pressure suddenly increased several times over.

Although the drone mechs were not as strong as Iron Man, they had the advantage of being numerous and having fierce Firepower.

With this dynamic, Iron Man's energy would eventually be depleted.

"The insurance premium might have to increase by thirty percent now."

William stroked his chin, muttering softly.

"Boss, what did you say?" Tandy didn't hear clearly.

"Nothing." William shook his head, "I was thinking, we should prepare Mr. Stark a policy for 'Personal Accident with Large-Scale Weapons Attack Endorsement'."

Tandy and Tyrone were already too lazy to comment on their boss's dedication.

Just then, the battlefield situation changed again.

An army-type drone mech abandoned its pursuit of Iron Man in the air and instead aimed its cannon at the fleeing crowd on the ground!

Its scarlet electronic eyes locked onto several children hiding behind a flower bed.

"Oh no!" Tandy exclaimed.

Tony clearly noticed the danger on the ground; he sharply turned and swooped down towards that drone mech.

But the other drones immediately entangled him, and several miniature missiles, trailing exhaust, accurately hit his back thrusters.

Boom!

Iron Man's figure stumbled, lost balance in the air, and, emitting Black smoke, crashed towards the distant botanical garden greenhouse.

"Mr. Stark!" Tandy's heart was in her throat.

On the ground, the army-type drone mech's Gatling gun had already begun to preheat and spin; the whistle of death was about to sound.

And it was at this critical moment that a Red and Blue figure, with an incredible posture, swung out from the Shadow of a tall building!

Whoosh--!

White spider silk accurately stuck to the drone mech's machine gun barrel, and the huge pulling force caused the gun, about to fire, to suddenly lift upwards!

Da da da da da!

A long string of bullets grazed over the heads of the crowd, firing into the night sky.

The figure, using the momentum of the swing, performed a graceful flip in the air, and his feet heavily kicked the drone mech's head.

Bang!

The huge Impact made the two-meter-tall mech stumble back several steps, and the optical sensors on its head sparked.

"Hey! Big guy! Bullying kids isn't a good habit!"

A young and energetic voice rang out, with a hint of deliberate playfulness.

"Didn't your parents teach you that? Oh, I forgot, you're a robot, you don't have parents, so never mind."

Red and Blue spandex, a Black spider logo on the chest, and that signature mouth.

It's Spider-Man!

William's expression revealed something strange.
