My mother was short from a homebody. She loves dressing up and going out. She had me at a really young age. She would always say " Becca I had you so young I couldn't have fun. But now you can take care of yourself and I can live my life a little." Sometimes It's uncomfortable explaining to people why my mother and I look more like sisters because she's only 35 and I'm 19. I didn't have much of a life since high school, I work full time and mostly hang out with my coworkers. Leah and Chris are probably the only thing that keeps me sane everyday honestly. After work today we decided to hit a new bar a few streets over everyone's been talking about. I live in Vegas so there's always something to do here. Congratulations. As I was about to rip my mom a new asshole the bar door opens. Leah and I cannot help but to stare. There standing was a tall man with dark black hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. Over 6ft tall with a broad build hover over my mom. He reaches down and picks her up effortlessly while she giggles. The whole time his eyes are locked with mine. He must know my mom is so drunk she's not even paying attention. He finally puts my moms down and introduces himself " you must be Becca, my name is Xavier I guess your mother has already told you the news." I replied " yes I guess a congrats is in order? Not sure what's happening here and if you're trying to scam my mother or what the fuck is happening" Xavier chuckled a deep laugh saying " if anything I'd assume your mother is using me. Once you move in you'll see why" as I was about to respond BBAARRRFFFFF my mother Is hurling her guts to the side while everyone is side eyeing us. Chris and Leah look to me and say " I think you got a lot going on we'll see you at work!" They said congrats to Xavier and my mom and ran into the bar. Xavier was rubbing my moms back and asked if I would like to come home with them to see the house and get to know me. I felt like I had no choice since he's my ….. stepdad? He handed me his car keys and carried my mom to his massive Lincoln Aviator with all the bells and whistles. He laid my mom in the third row seat so she could lay down comfortably and he asked me to sit up front. The drive was not far but we did not exchange one word the whole drive.
