The eyes of the World Destroyer Bondi Wald were filled with dissatisfaction and resentment. Neither of his two 100x multiplier cannons had succeeded—both were destroyed halfway.
The cannonball fired at the Navy had been destroyed by the new Navy Admiral Akainu Sakazuki's Hades Dog, while the one aimed at Daughter Island was obliterated by Victor's thunder slash.
The World Destroyer was furious. These younger generations were far too annoying!
"That's Bondi Wald, the World Destroyer?!"
After Victor neutralized the shells aimed at Daughter Island, he glanced at the Ward Pirates entrenched in the flank waters.
According to prior intelligence, the two Sandasonia sisters were captured by Bondi Wald and imprisoned aboard the Ward Pirates' ship—which was practically a floating island.
"Is it still like this? Navy, pirates, even the world's nobles… anyone in his path gets destroyed!"
A trace of solemnity crossed Grandma New Guroliosa's face. She understood Bondi Wald's reputation all too well. Thirty years ago, his cruel, reckless actions caused countless tragedies. The World Government dispatched the Navy, CP organization, and even allied with pirates just to stop him.
Thirty years later, he emerged from Impel Down—and his style hadn't changed. In a war between Akainu's fleet and the Amazon Lily Kingdom, Bondi Wald could have left, but no—he had to wreak havoc himself.
"Snake Princess, the war is intense, but you still need to rescue the Sandasonia sisters immediately!"
"I understand! Granny Niu, the port defense is in your hands!"
Pirate Queen Boa Hancock nodded and prepared to rescue the sisters.
Victor stepped forward, stopping Hancock. He instructed her to guard the port while he handled the landing Marines. With his speed, rescuing the Sandasonia sisters would be far easier.
Though the Navy's attack was fierce, Daughter Island held a slight advantage. Naval warships suffered under Enel's lightning strikes and the island's anti-aircraft guns.
Enel fought at near full strength.
Twenty million volts discharge!
Thirty million volt Thunderbird!
Sixty million volt Thunder Dragon!
One hundred million volts discharge!
God's Punishment!
The Thunder Fruit's power rained down on the Navy. Soldiers were stunned.
Who was this man with long earlobes and a drum in his ear? Was he Victor's partner? How could he control lightning? Did he have a grudge against the Navy?
Unknown to the Marines, Enel's motivation was simple: he wanted the code name Thor.
Lightning raged. Many Navy soldiers were knocked unconscious. With the port's laser attacks, the Navy's defeat became increasingly apparent.
Even the vice admirals could only watch, unable to keep up with Enel's speed.
Akainu, in charge of the operation, looked grim. He discarded his cigar, removed his new Admiral uniform, and stared fiercely at Enel.
"Haha ha ha ha, nice to see you again, Victor!!"
Princess Mononoke Perona, observing with Mihawk in the flank waters, grinned.
"Hey! Hawkeye, Ghost Girl, long time no see!"
Since the Ward Pirates were in the same area as Mihawk, Victor first greeted the world's strongest swordsman.
"Victor, where's your ship? Why isn't it here?"
Perona seemed more interested in Victor's ship than the battle itself. But Victor ignored her—time was running out. He only had a quick greeting for Mihawk.
"Victor! Fight first! Our agreement will be postponed!"
Hawkeye Mihawk spoke. Though the Navy seemed weakened, with Akainu around, anything could happen.
[Ding! Select trigger!]
[Choice 1] Agree to Hawkeye's proposal and postpone the agreement until the next meeting. Reward: Great Blade Twenty-first Skill: Rissitude and Killing.
[Choice 2] Reject Hawkeye's proposal and fight him now to decide the outcome. Reward: Thunder Shield (Forms a thunder barrier, a powerful national defense weapon).
The system's voice stunned Victor. He didn't expect a simple greeting to trigger a choice. He already had enough swords, but option two's reward could be useful.
The ninety-nine anti-aircraft guns around the island had performed excellently. Adding a "mine cage" would upgrade the island's defense even further.
From Victor's perspective, there was no reason to postpone.
"Thanks, Hawkeye, but no need to delay. Once we repel the Navy, we'll naturally decide the winner. Time's short—I'm going to rescue the sisters first!"
With that, Victor dashed toward the Ward Pirates' location.
Hawkeye Mihawk, rarely smiling, watched.
Is Victor really that confident?
New World – Navy G-16 Base
Boom! Boom!
A naval branch base deep in the New World was suddenly attacked by pirates. Even the vice admiral in charge was defeated by a flaming fist.
"Everyone! Destroy this naval base completely! The Navy attacked Whitebeard's territory, so we return the favor!"
Under Ace's leadership, captain of Whitebeard Pirates' second division, this was the third naval base they had destroyed.
Earlier, the Whitebeard Pirates learned the Navy was preparing to confront the Amazon Lily Kingdom.
