Chapter 26 - The mission

"Oh my God, forgive me, miss! I thought there was no one here! I'm really sorry."

You stood in front of the mirror, completely naked, wearing only your test heels and with your long hair falling to your buttocks. The little black dress hung around your ankles; your breathing was shallow, your heartbeat rapid, incessant.

And Mirio… disappeared.

Where… where the hell did he go? You wondered, looking around.

The saleswoman had already left for a while when suddenly Mirio's face appeared on the floor below you, smiling. "Haha! I fooled her, didn't I?"

You jumped, suddenly. "You freaked me out!"

"This is my *Permeation," he said, emerging from the floor… completely naked. "When my Quirk is active, every part of my body can pass through objects as if they were massless."

"Wow!" you exclaimed, as you got dressed with slow, controlled movements. "I guess you've had a really hard workout!"

He nodded, getting dressed as if nothing had happened. "Yes, really hard is an understatement!" he smiled.

You slipped out of the dressing room in a hurry, with him right behind you, crouching so he wouldn't be seen. Halfway down the aisle, just before the checkout, he suddenly straightened up, snatched the dress from your hands, and strode briskly toward the sales assistant.

"Hey, HEY! What are you doing? Give it back to me!"

"No, wait outside while I pay."

"Absolutely not! I'll pay, you go away!" you burst out laughing, while he gently nudged you with his shoulder, as if to lead you to the exit.

"Mirio! Stop it!" you protested through laughter, but it was useless now: he paid for the dress, as always.

You leaned against the wall by the window, watching him as he wrapped things up with that disarming smile and the effortless ease only he possessed. It was impossible to stay angry at someone like Mirio Togata, stubborn to the core, yet so incredibly sweet. With you. And with your son, Ryota, who adored him like a hero.

Meanwhile, the days kept unfolding in almost the exact same way. Mornings at school always brought you face-to-face with your ex, Katsuki Bakugo, your 22-year-old student and the father of your son, Ryota, and with your current partner, Mirio Togata, with whom you enjoyed exchanging a few jokes now and then while you worked, and completely emptying him in the evenings when he returned home from a double shift.

About three weeks had passed when, one morning, you arrived at the institute earlier than usual. You were reading some circulars from Principal Nezu, lost in thought, when the door opened slowly.

Aizawa walked in with his usual calm stride and sleepy expression.

"Hi, Tara," he said evenly. "The students will be having class outside today, so both you and Toshinori will be wearing your hero uniforms. Yours has been carefully adjusted; you shouldn't have any issues with the coordinates."

You stared at him for a moment too long, clearly surprised. You hadn't expected such news, and for a few seconds you remained silent, unsure how to react. Finally, you simply nodded, gathered your documents, and headed for the locker room.

Your hero uniform was waiting for you there, hanging in its usual place. When you slipped it on, you couldn't help but let out a sigh...it was… almost too tight. A small, unsure smile tugged at your lips. In an outfit like this, resisting would've been nearly impossible.

The jumpsuit was made of a matte black technical fabric, tight yet flexible, with bright electric blue inserts that followed the contours of your body, accentuating your figure. The bodice, which covered your large breasts but made them more prominent, was reinforced with a lightweight metallic fiber, leaving the shoulders bare, and connected to a short cape that swayed slightly with every step. Gloves and boots, both reaching to the forearm and knee, completed the uniform, while a multifunctional belt, carried small tactical tools.

The mask, thin and contoured, framed your gaze with elegance and a hint of mystery. Overall, the uniform conveyed power, control, and allure: perfect for a heroine like you, capable of dominating the scene with her mere presence. Once you put it on, needless to say, the entire school, including the students, turned to look at you. You were a sexy bombshell, just the right amount of feminine, with your perfect face and captivating smile. You joined Toshinori and the others outside, with your catlike stride and confident gaze.

As usual, you were the last to arrive, and from a distance you spotted Toshinori's imposing figure, also in uniform, standing tall with his hands on his hips. He gave the boys a small nod, as if to signal that you were on your way. Katsuki was the first to turn around. Mineta was the second. He immediately shuffled closer to Katsuki, elbowing him repeatedly in the arm until you heard Katsuki's hoarse voice barking at him to cut it out. You couldn't help but smile.

"Here I am, sorry I'm late." You said, giving a small apologetic bow and positioned yourself next to Toshinori, feeling his devouring gaze on you.

Katsuki, as usual, was impeccable in his uniform. But it was his eyes that were the real betrayers: two fiery red slits that burned beneath bushy blond lashes. They looked at you as if he wanted to fuck you until you bled.

From head to toe.

You didn't need to return his gaze. You felt it, like a sudden heat on the back of your neck, like a tingling along your spine that made your leg muscles contract almost without warning. But you forced yourself to remain still, with one hand on your hip and your gaze straight ahead, proud as if you'd never been.

"Guys, you know me as Shimura-sensei, but today I want to introduce myself properly. My hero name is Velaria, and my quirk is Aero Aegis. Let me explain: I can create and shape layers of air, like invisible films, that protect me from blows, bullets, and heavy impacts. This gives me control over both the immediate situation and the surrounding environment. Oh, and these veils I create are also perfect for forming escape routes," you said, capturing the full attention of the class.

Then you went on. "I activate this quirk and control it through both my breathing and the movements of my wrists and hands. My breathing determines the pressure I apply to each layer (slow means stable, fast means reactive). With my hands, I can angle, curve, thicken, or thin the layers, shaping them into shields or flexible walls… all through small, precise movements, of course."

Midoriya suddenly raised a timid hand. I let him speak.

"We're talking about a defensive quirk, right?"

You nodded. "Yes, exactly. I'll show you. The wind, as you can see, is blowing from the west, right?"

You asked, regulating your breathing. With your wrists outstretched, you activated Aero Aegis: thin sheets of air descended around you, like invisible cloaks. One layer in front, one on your hips to deflect rocks or branches, one under your feet to cushion your footsteps.

Toshinori looked you over from head to toe, his eyes burning with intensity, then gave a firm nod. "Today's objective: reach the top without getting caught by you students."

"Great, perfect! Let's go!" you exclaimed.

You and Toshinori began to run at breakneck speed, disappearing before the incredulous eyes of the students.

"I lead the way, you rule the air!" he said.

You nodded.

A rustling sound came from the branches. Suddenly. Iida leaped out like a bullet, his greaves glinting in the sunlight. "Full speed! Stop, please!"

"Toshinori! It's coming from the right!" You warned All Might with a shout, while inhaling, you tilted a panel of air in front of Iida. Obviously not to stop him, or he'd be too hurt, but simply to move him a meter. He slid onto the parallel path and lost his angle of attack. Toshinori passed, waving. "Great sprint, young Iida!"

Before you, without warning, Kaminari appeared with a nervous smile. "Excuse me, Velaria-sensei, but…ZAP!" An electric discharge crackled in the air.

You lifted two layers of veils into a dome shape. The sparks scattered like rain on an umbrella.

"Kaminari-san, never aim for the center!" You snapped at him. "The center is the strongest point, never do that!"

"All right, I wrote it down!" He replied, already followed and joined by Jiro, who was listening with her Earphone Jack. "They're diverting the sound! They're doing it on purpose!" You heard her exclaim.

Continuing forward, the path widened into a clearing of tall grass. The natural wind picked up, and you noticed it. With a flick of your wrist, you directed the air in a ribbon behind you, obscuring your footprints on the ground and raising a light dust in the opposite direction.

"Red herring," You explained quietly.

"Well done," Toshinori said, approaching you. "Tara, but if we stop for a moment…"

"From the left, I hear light footsteps!" You shouted a little louder, trying not to give his words any weight. Deep down, you already knew exactly what he intended.

Obviously, he wanted to fuck you.

Tsuyu leaped out of the water of a small stream.

"Ribbit... Velaria-sensei, I'll cut you off." She grabbed a branch with her tongue to catapult herself.

You lowered your hand to form a trampoline-shaped sheet of air, and held it out in front of her.

"Careful."

Tsuyu bounced higher than expected and landed softly on the grass, thanks to a cushion of air you'd prepared especially for her.

"Thanks...ribbit..." she muttered in surprise.

Behind you, Kirishima and Sero ran together, toward you.

"I'll be your anchor!"

You heard Sero shout as he shot ribbons into the trees. Kirishima braced himself in tough mode, attempting a clean tackle on Toshinori. But the symbol of peace and the world's strongest hero changed pace: two short steps, one long, sliding sideways. You tilted your air blanket beneath their feet. They didn't fall, but Kirishima and Sero lost traction for a moment, just enough time for you to cross the stream on a small air bridge you'd created, which dissolved silently behind you.

Yaoyorozu was waiting for you at the edge of the clearing, hidden, with binoculars and two newly created smoke spheres. "Cover!"

The smoke spheres fell, and a gray cloud opened up. You took a deep breath and, with three flicks of your wrist, opened a clean corridor within the smoke, as if it were a tunnel.

"With me," You said to Toshinori. He nodded, moving closer to you. "How I'd love that…" he replied, making your heart skip a beat.

You continued running straight ahead, as the edges of the tunnel closed in behind you, obscuring the students' view. Once you emerged from the smoke, the ground began to rise. The signal tower could be seen in patches through the tall trees and bushes. The wind in that area was much stronger than before. Perfect, you thought. You created a "breeze ladder" that lightened your pace as you climbed and muffled the sounds.

"Toshinori! Breathe with me, at my pace," You said.

"Ah...such beautiful memories." He whispered in your ear.

"Four counts. Are you there?"

"Understood," he replied. "But don't ignore me."

Suddenly, a jet of ice came from the ridge: it was Todoroki. He wasn't aiming at you, but at the ground beneath your feet, creating a slippery surface beneath you.

"Let's freeze them in ge…" he began to speak.

You twisted your hand and created three thin veils on the surface of the ice. The friction under your boots returned just enough. "Nice try!" you exclaimed, passing by him. Todoroki narrowed his eyes, trying to study you.

"Careful, there's Midoriya," Toshinori warned you. And sure enough, between the pine trees and bushes, Midoriya's figure appeared, his gaze alert. He wasn't running with his head down, but was looking ahead, assessing you.

"If we push from two asymmetrical sides…" you heard him mutter under his breath.

Moments later, a ribbon from Sero descended from above as Jiro planted her earphones into the ground to disrupt your breathing. Good, you thought. But you shifted your pattern: instead of resisting, you embraced Jiro's power. Her heartbeat became your metronome...you danced to it, moving the dome formed by your quirk in counter-tempo. Sero's ribbon veered off course, tangling itself around a branch.

"Thanks for the music," you said. Jiro blushed, but smiled at you.

The final climb began, winding through huge boulders and low bushes. Iida returned at full speed, this time with a well-thought-out plan: he didn't charge straight at you like before, but cut the turn and headed directly forward.

"Now it's my turn to be the noisy distraction," Toshinori said. He leaped high onto a boulder and deliberately dropped another large stone. The thud immediately drew everyone's attention back to him.

Meanwhile, you stretched a flat sheet of air over the rock, forming an invisible step as you advanced.

"Take a long stride!" you muttered.

You leaped together: the step you created carried you past Iida's blockade. "Aw... congratulations!" he blurted, immediately taking off again.

A few meters from the tower, Kaminari fired another volley, this time targeting a cloud of dust that Yaoyorozu had deliberately raised. The air between you and Toshinori crackled.

You raised a curtain of air, shielding yourself from the discharge while simultaneously pushing the dust upward, creating a brief flash that distracted everyone for half a second.

It was enough. Toshinori quickened his pace, and you held the dome steady yet light. Together, you tapped the tower with your foot, activating the signal with a focused breath that turned the small sensor blade. A clear beep rang out into the air.

"Objective accomplished!" you exclaimed.

The students stopped, one after the other, panting but all smiling. You noticed Katsuki wasn't there. Midoriya reached you first, notebook in hand.

"Sensei, your quirk changes dramatically outdoors, doesn't it?"

You nodded. "Exactly. Outside, the air is already moving. I just have to guide it; obviously, I don't create it from scratch."

Todoroki studied the ice on the path. "And you chose not to resist certain attacks, but to accompany them."

"Yes. Sometimes resisting means losing energy. It's better to deflect in these cases. You always have to do as little work as possible."

Iida gave a quick bow. "Thanks for the running lesson. I'll change the interception angle."

"I, on the other hand, will work on my timing," Sero said, freeing the ribbon from the branch. Kaminari scratched his head.

"And I…will aim for the sides, not the center anymore."

Toshinori looked at you, then turned and smiled at everyone. "Great job, all of you. You did well today, even better next time."

The wind on the hill picked up, and you closed your eyes for a moment to breathe. The layers of air melted away one by one as you surveyed the class, feeling satisfied.

"Next time," you said, "you choose the path. All Might and I will follow."

"This is going to be fun!" Uraraka exclaimed, skipping along.

You all walked down to school together, a beautiful sunset trailing behind you. The forest smelled richly of wet grass, and for a moment, the path felt easier. You had run, you had learned something, and on top of it all, you had smiled. It had truly been a wonderful day.
