Chapter 90 - Bloodline

At this moment, Yun Chuan followed Tang Hao into a stretch of undulating mountains. From their position, they could not see the entire range, but even the outermost peaks had already pierced into the clouds.

Seeing this place, he thought inwardly, as expected. He had already guessed why Tang Hao had brought him here.

"Follow me."

Tang Hao turned to glance at Yun Chuan, then leapt forward, heading straight for the mountain wall.

The mountain wall ahead was extremely steep, nearly ninety degrees. Yet under Tang Hao's feet, it was as if walking on flat ground. Every time his toes lightly tapped the cliff, his body shot upward more than ten meters, rapidly ascending toward the summit.

Yun Chuan didn't waste words and followed behind. Without using any soul power, he relied on leaping and agility alone. With his strong physique, he easily traversed the cliff as if it were level ground, seemingly even more effortlessly than Tang Hao.

Father and son moved one after the other, swiftly crossing peak after peak. After nearly an hour, they had reached the inner part of the mountains.

By now, a faint rumbling could be heard, and the air gradually became more humid.

As they approached, the rumbling grew louder, deafening, and the air grew colder and damper than the outside temperature.

Finally, Tang Hao stopped.

Yun Chuan looked up and saw a valley—or more precisely, a pond. The water was crystal clear, calm and deep, like a giant sapphire.

On one side of the valley, a waterfall about twenty meters wide draped like a jade belt across a nearly two-hundred-meter-high cliff. The thundering sound came from the waterfall crashing into the pond.

The torrent splashed onto the pond, spraying countless droplets. In the sunlight, a rainbow spanned across the pond, dazzlingly beautiful.

As Yun Chuan arrived, a cool mist hit his face. The humid air was refreshing and extraordinarily comfortable.

Surrounded by mountains, the scenery was lush and layered with life. Before him lay rippling sapphire waters and a majestic waterfall reaching from heaven to earth. Even though he had read descriptions before, being here in person made the scenery almost breathtaking.

Tang Hao, standing before the waterfall, usually stoic and cold, now revealed an unhidden tenderness on his weathered face.

"Why did you bring me here?" Yun Chuan asked, frowning.

"Come with me. I'll take you to a place." Tang Hao sighed, then unleashed his soul power. He leapt into the air and flew toward the waterfall. With his right hand pressing in the air, using a single soul power-assisted push, he reached the reef on the other side. Yun Chuan naturally followed with ease.

Seeing Yun Chuan catch up, Tang Hao acted again. With a wave of his right hand, he unleashed the massive Hao Tian Hammer, three meters long and as large as a water jar. The crashing water of the waterfall was pushed upward by the hammer's immense soul power, and Tang Hao followed his hammer, soaring upward.

The waterfall's flow was reversed over half its distance. Tang Hao's hand pressed against a rock behind the waterfall, and a seemingly seamless stone recessed to reveal a doorway. In a flash, he entered.

Seeing this, Yun Chuan didn't hesitate and followed.

Perhaps due to the waterfall outside, the cave inside was very humid. About three meters high and two meters wide, it extended inward.

The cave was dark. Tang Hao pulled a pale golden gem from his soul-guiding tool to illuminate the surroundings, then led the way.

Yun Chuan followed him to the deepest part. Everything around them lit up. Looking up, he saw a stone opening at the ceiling, leading to a small stone chamber of about ten square meters.

The chamber had no furnishings—empty. But directly below the ceiling opening was a small mound of soil, upon which a slender Blue Silver Grass swayed in the wind.

The grass appeared slightly longer than ordinary leaves, and most strikingly, golden veins ran along its blades.

Tang Hao approached the Blue Silver Grass, unbothered by the soil, and sat down. Then he raised his hand, his expression suddenly soft and tender, gently stroking the grass with golden veins.

"Ah Yin, I've brought our son to see you. The son taken from us has grown up, surpassing even me in capability. Can you see? Our son has come."

Even having anticipated this, Yun Chuan was still struck by the scene. The bloodline connection stirred something deep within him. He stared at the gently swaying Blue Silver Grass emanating a soft aura, his heart trembling violently.

Uncontrollably, the Blue Silver Grass manifested! It transformed into the spectral image of a blue-haired, green-robed goddess, floating behind it like a protective spirit, quietly expanding the Plant Domain.

Surging life force filled the entire stone chamber!

In an instant, the Blue Silver Grass swayed even more. The golden veins on its blades seemed alive, rippling like waves of gold under the nourishment of pure life energy, visibly growing before their eyes.

Tang Hao was stunned by the scene. Watching the Blue Silver Grass grow rapidly, he murmured to himself, "I… I never imagined… Ah Yin… Ah Yin, could it really… come back to life? Ah Yin."

Tears flowed from Tang Hao, the legendary Hao Tian Douluo. Trembling, he caressed the grass blades, letting his tears fall onto the soil.

At this moment, the Blue Silver Grass, once about one foot long, had grown to three feet, but no further.

Yun Chuan knew this was a natural limit of the plant. Fertilizer could speed growth slightly, but it couldn't take the plant from youth to full maturity instantly—unless one used the power of a Plant Master. For now, three feet was the limit.

Seeing the great Hao Tian Douluo crying like a child, Yun Chuan was emotionally moved. He slowly stepped forward, gently touching a blade of the Blue Silver Grass.

At that moment, a strange phenomenon occurred. The two longest blades of the Blue Silver Grass slowly moved. One coiled around Tang Hao's hand, the other around Yun Chuan's finger.

A subtle spiritual wave appeared, far stronger than that of an ordinary Blue Silver Grass. It seemed to convey the most intimate thoughts.

As a Plant Master, Yun Chuan could sense the pure emotion and the closeness of bloodline. This bond could not be faked. Instinctively, he knew that this Blue Silver Grass was truly the incarnation of his biological mother.
