Chapter 76 - The Shrek That Was Beaten Up

"I can't drag this out any longer. I need to end this quickly!" Ye ZhiQiu realized these young opponents were more formidable than he'd anticipated. If he continued to underestimate them, he might suffer an unexpected defeat.

With that thought, his fifth Soul Ring blazed with light!

Fifth Soul Skill: Profound Water Tide!

*Boom!*

A massive wave of black water erupted from Ye ZhiQiu, layer upon layer, surging toward Tang San and his companions like an overwhelming tidal wave.

"Watch out! Dodge!"

The attack's immense range and speed left Tang San no time to react. He never imagined his teacher would resort to such a ruthless, all-out move without warning. He frantically urged Dai Mubai and the others to evade, but the wave was too fast and too wide. They were struck head-on by the black water.

*Bang!*

The once-arrogant Tang San, Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, and the others were sent flying by the black water. Only Zhu Zhuqing, relying on her agility as an Agility-type Soul Master, barely managed to dodge.

The battlefield was now a scene of utter devastation.

The black water carried a strange vibrational force that shattered Tang San's group's bones upon impact, leaving them utterly drained. The water's frigid energy froze their bodies, rendering them stiff and immobile, sprawled helplessly on the ground.

The battle was over.

This time, Zhao Wuji didn't interfere. Facing Ye ZhiQiu, a Soul King, Tang San and his group were instantly annihilated by his ultimate move. If Tang San could have used his Hidden Weapons, they might have stood a chance. But unfortunately, he was completely immobilized.

Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun—their most formidable fighters—lay incapacitated on the ground, victims of the Profound Water Tide.

Only Oscar and Ning Rongrong, the Support-Type Soul Masters, remained, along with Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing, whose offensive capabilities were limited. They stood no chance of breaking through Ye ZhiQiu's defenses.

The outcome was clear.

"Third Brother, are you alright?" Xiao Wu rushed to Tang San's side, who lay stiff and pale on the ground. The moment she touched him, a bone-chilling cold radiated from his body. She instinctively cried out, "So cold!" and quickly withdrew her hand.

"I'm... fine..." Tang San managed to say with difficulty.

A rare pang of regret surged through Tang San's heart. If only he had used his Hidden Weapons from the start, he wouldn't have been caught off guard and wiped out in a single, decisive wave.

Nearby, Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun lay immobilized on the ground, sharing Tang San's thoughts. They didn't regret the challenge itself, but their own carelessness. It was clear that Shrek Academy's teaching methods were deeply flawed.

"What about it? Still want to fight?" Ye ZhiQiu, seeing that he had defeated their three strongest fighters and that the remaining students couldn't break through his defenses, finally relaxed his posture. He maintained his Soul Skill activation, however, to guard against any surprise attacks.

"Surrender? If you surrender, go fetch your teacher!" Ye ZhiQiu, suspecting the Shrek students had powerful backers, had maintained a polite demeanor throughout the confrontation. In contrast, Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun, already in the wrong, had acted arrogantly, hurling insults and taunts.

"I'll surrender to your mother!" Even pinned down, Ma Hongjun, emboldened by the presence of their accompanying teacher Yun Chuan, refused to back down. He retorted defiantly, "You'd better release us now, or you're dead when our teacher arrives!"

"Still mouthing off even at death's door!" Ye ZhiQiu's patience snapped at Ma Hongjun's insolence.

"You lot, go give him a proper greeting!" Ye ZhiQiu ordered, turning to the students nearby.

Hearing this, the students who had just been beaten down immediately cracked their knuckles, their faces twisting into cold grins as they approached the immobilized Ma Hongjun.

Seeing this, Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing, still capable of fighting, naturally couldn't stand by while their companion was attacked. They rushed forward to intervene, but Ye ZhiQiu froze them with his second Soul Skill, Mystic Water Ice Seal, trapping them alongside Tang San and the others.

Now, only Ning Rongrong, a Support-Type Soul Master, and Oscar remained mobile on the Shrek side.

"You old turtle! I'm warning you, release us now! We're not someone you can afford to provoke!" Dai Mubai growled, his brow furrowed as he saw his comrades restrained. "Otherwise, when our teacher arrives, you'll regret it too late!"

"Your teacher? Hah!" Ye ZhiQiu scoffed, then turned to Ning Rongrong and Oscar. "I'll give you a chance. Go fetch your teacher. I want to see what kind of teacher could raise such arrogant students!"

Ning Rongrong and Oscar exchanged a glance, then, without another word, turned and sprinted back the way they had come. At this point, their only option was to call for help from their teachers.

"As for you lot," Ye ZhiQiu sneered, looking down at Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun sprawled on the ground. "Weren't you so arrogant just now? Go on, give these three a proper greeting. But leave the girls alone."

The students who had paused their advance immediately surged forward again, their fists clenched and knuckles cracking. They swarmed around Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun, raising their feet and unleashing a brutal assault of stomps, kicks, and shoves.

The three were kicked around like ragdolls, the Canghui Academy students mercilessly stomping and kicking them. The scene was utterly wretched.

"Third Brother..." Xiao Wu watched from a distance, her eyes blurring with tears, utterly helpless to intervene.

Zhu Zhuqing, however, felt a surge of dark satisfaction as she watched Dai Mubai being brutalized. A secret thrill coursed through her veins. After all, she had been abandoned in the perilous Star Luo Empire while her fiancé lived a life of carefree indulgence here. A deep-seated resentment had long been festering in her heart.

Among the three, Ma Hongjun suffered the worst beating. His earlier arrogance and smugness had made him the perfect target for everyone's fury. Most of the kicks landed squarely on his face, and his fleshy body was brutally pummeled until it looked swollen and bruised. Yet not a single person showed concern for him; no one even seemed to notice his plight. Suddenly, he seemed rather pitiful.

After the relentless barrage of kicks, Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun were covered in bruises. Their faces were particularly battered, marked with multiple shoe prints, swollen, and bleeding from the nose. They looked utterly miserable, a far cry from their earlier arrogance and swagger.

Just then, Ning Rongrong and Oscar finally arrived, accompanied by a white-robed, black-haired youth.

As they approached, they saw the three men being kicked around by the crowd. Oscar immediately shouted, "Stop!"

"We've brought the teacher!" Ning Rongrong added loudly.

*Good job!* Yun Chuan watched Tang San and his companions being kicked around like stray dogs, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction. These three deserved every blow!

Of course, Yun Chuan couldn't reveal his satisfaction at seeing the trio beaten. His expression darkened, and he roared, "Stop!"

A surge of potent soul power accompanied his voice, causing the eardrums of everyone nearby to vibrate. The Canghui Academy students who had been mercilessly kicking Tang San and his companions froze, turning their gazes toward their teacher.

"You're their teacher?!" Ye ZhiQiu frowned at Yun Chuan's youthful face, recalling the formidable soul power contained in his earlier shout. A flicker of apprehension crossed his mind.

"That's right, I am their teacher." Yun Chuan's brow furrowed as he surveyed Tang San and the others, sprawled on the ground, battered and humiliated.

Ye ZhiQiu's voice turned icy. "Your students insulted Canghui Academy. Shouldn't you offer us an explanation?"

Yun Chuan turned to face him, his voice measured. "I've already heard what happened. My students were in the wrong this time. But they're my students, and any discipline is for me to administer. What right do you have to interfere? As for an explanation... will this suffice?"

The moment the words left his lips, Yun Chuan's figure flashed, instantly appearing before Ye ZhiQiu. Gathering his soul power, he unleashed a palm strike directly at Ye ZhiQiu's face.

*So fast!*

Ye ZhiQiu's heart jolted with alarm. Instinctively, he unleashed the full force of his Mystic Water Ice Seal, a bone-chilling cold sweeping toward Yun Chuan. Simultaneously, he twisted his body, using his turtle shell to block the incoming strike. *You're too arrogant,* he thought smugly. *Even if your soul power surpasses mine, you dare not even use your Martial Soul? I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget.*

Unfortunately for Ye ZhiQiu, the lesson was his to learn. The Mystic Water Ice Seal, which had previously caused Tang San and his companions so much trouble, proved utterly ineffective against Yun Chuan.

In the next instant, Ye ZhiQiu was sent flying like a kite caught in a gale by Yun Chuan's thunderous palm strike. A massive crack spiderwebbed across his turtle shell as he hurtled more than ten meters before crashing heavily to the ground.

After delivering the strike, Yun Chuan didn't even glance at Ye ZhiQiu. Instead, he turned toward the three figures sprawled on the ground—Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun—their faces bruised and swollen. A twitch tugged at the corner of his mouth as he struggled to suppress a laugh, forcing a grim expression.

Yun Chuan stood silently in place, saying nothing.

Ye ZhiQiu, supported by several Canghui Academy students, struggled to his feet. He spat out a mouthful of blood, his back feeling as if a mountain were pressing down on it, making it difficult to breathe. A chill ran down his spine. He knew his defensive capabilities better than anyone; the fact that his opponent had injured him with a casual palm strike, without even using his Martial Soul, meant the power gap was at least fifteen levels, if not more, even if the opponent was a Strength-Type Soul Master.

The thought of his opponent's Soul Master level sent shivers down Ye ZhiQiu's spine. He eyed Yun Chuan's retreating figure with deep apprehension. He wanted to retreat immediately, but feared provoking the wrath of this powerful figure. For a moment, he was caught in a dilemma, unable to decide whether to stay or flee.

"What? Still want more?"

Fortunately, Yun Chuan's voice broke the tension, offering him a way out.

Ye ZhiQiu breathed a sigh of relief, realizing the opponent had no intention of pursuing the matter. He shot Yun Chuan a brief, grateful glance before leading his students away in disgrace.
