Meteor after meteor slammed into the fortress. The second caused cracks to spread across the stone wall Tyranitar had created, and the third completely shattered the upper section. One could already see Mega Tyranitar controlling enormous amounts of sand and rock, frantically gathering them toward the opening, but the repairs were no longer fast enough.
The fourth completely shattered the entire defensive fortress. No matter how Mega Tyranitar tried to repair it, there was no longer any way to keep up.
But more or less, it had already been enough. Tyranitar's special defense had helped withstand one wave of impact.
"Mega Tyranitar, Ice Punch!"
"Darkrai, Ice Beam!"
"Mega Gengar, Icy Wind!"
Cain calmly directed his three Pokémon to face the next meteors.
Just as his words fell, one of the meteors, controlled by Mega Latios, descended directly toward them.
Mega Gengar opened its mouth and expelled a current of wind filled with fine snow that blew toward the meteor descending from the sky. Darkrai did not lag behind either: with hands joined, it fired a pale blue ray that struck the meteor head-on.
The meteor, originally wrapped in blazing flames, began releasing white smoke as its temperature dropped sharply. A thick layer of ice gathered on Mega Tyranitar's dark green fist; its entire arm, up to the elbow, transformed into a kind of frozen claw, and it hurled it without hesitation toward the falling meteor.
BOOM!!!
At the point where the fist collided with the enormous meteor, cracks began to appear. Then, amid sounds of crack crack, those fractures spread further and further, and it seemed that Mega Tyranitar was about to shatter that meteor with a single punch.
Kael, who observed the scene from afar, did not lose his smile and cast a glance toward Mega Latios.
It understood instantly. A red gleam shone in its eyes, psychic power stirred, wrapped around a meteor that had originally been headed toward another area of the battlefield, and redirected it toward the same point where Tyranitar was holding the first one.
Upon seeing that second meteor, Cain's expression changed slightly.
"Darkrai! Gengar!"
The two Pokémon acted immediately and once again used the previous combination against the newly falling meteor.
And after finishing their respective moves, they did not stop. Dark spheres condensed instantly in each of their hands and were thrown toward that meteor, attempting to relieve the pressure on Mega Tyranitar.
BANG!!!
In the end, the two meteors collided one after another with very little time between them.
And for Tyranitar, the pressure suddenly increased drastically.
Its feet, which until then had remained firmly planted on the ground, caused the rocks beneath them to crack. Small fragments of stone were shot outward at great speed by the sudden pressure, brushing against the thin shield of psychic power surrounding Cain.
If he had not possessed that psychic shield, Cain felt that those stones launched at such speed would have been more than enough to leave wounds on his body.
That alone was enough to imagine the pressure Mega Tyranitar was enduring at that moment.
Seeing Mega Tyranitar grit its teeth tightly, with its entire right arm completely covered in ice, that way of using Ice Punch was already a performance beyond its own limits. It could no longer even be called Ice Punch.
That should be called... Ice Arm!
"Interesting, truly interesting. Not bad strength. Let us see then how many meteors you can endure," Kael said as he observed the scene, becoming increasingly interested.
Following his command, Mega Latios used its psychic power to continue launching Draco Meteor meteors toward Mega Tyranitar.

When the third meteor fell, although thanks to the combined efforts of Darkrai and Mega Gengar its power had been greatly reduced, for Mega Tyranitar it was still an enormous pressure.
The weight of three gigantic meteors, combined with the impact of their fall from the sky and the residual heat they still retained, was something easy for Tyranitar to imagine.
At that moment, both of its legs had already sunk completely into the ground. The earth around it had fully cracked and collapsed, forming a small depression.

Mega Tyranitar once again felt the force increase sharply. And this was no longer simply one plus one plus one.
"TTTYYYRAAANNN!!!"
Mega Tyranitar finally released its clenched teeth and roared in fury. The lines across its body began turning red from the abdomen, gradually spreading upward until they covered its face.
With a sharp and icy gaze, it struck the ground once more with its tail, while the other arm also became covered in ice, and it hurled that second arm toward the meteors before it.

The first meteor, which had already been cracked, was completely shattered in a single blow. The fragments of rock slid across Tyranitar's body; its rough skin and the stone scraped against each other, but that caused no additional harm to Mega Tyranitar.
After the first meteor shattered, the other three stacked above it all fell at once.

Three brutal punches, accompanied by Mega Tyranitar's roar, caused those three meteors to completely break apart.
At that moment, Mega Latios's Draco Meteor finally ended. A single move had been enough to push Cain's Pokémon into a desperate situation, and that was with Mega Tyranitar performing far beyond normal standards.
"That Tyranitar of yours... interesting, truly interesting..." Kael murmured as he observed Mega Tyranitar thoughtfully, stroking his chin.
Cain narrowed his eyes and looked down toward the slopes of Mt. Silver. On the original battlefield, where the Sacred Church members and the League were fighting, Mega Latios's Draco Meteor had caused extremely heavy casualties.
The other party did not care in the slightest whether they also struck their own people. They simply launched attacks without scruple, and any casualties meant nothing to them.
But with only that first exchange, Cain had already understood how terrifying Master Level Pokémon truly were. His current Pokémon had no real capacity to respond against something like that.
They were not on the same level.
That the council elder had asked him to stop the Sacred Church bishop was truly overestimating him too much.
