For Yubel, though, this was all new. Back in the dorm, she watched Jaden activate his Duel Disk and log into the Link System. Deep-blue ripples spread rapidly, swallowing the surroundings. Jaden was whisked away to the edge of the dimension—to the starting point of the Link System, a virtual duel city.
Seeing this for the first time, Yubel was shocked.
She was well-versed in dimensional skills—she'd once transported the entire Duel Academy to another dimension. But precisely because she understood it, she was even more shocked. Dimensional travel was not something just anyone could do. Yet now, human technology had advanced to this level—their prowess was not to be underestimated, even by a powerful spirit like her.

Atem declared.
"I activate the spell card 'Polymerization'! I fuse 'Dark Magician' on the field with 'Gaia the Fierce Knight' from my hand!
A knight with the power of dark magic, trampling all enemies underfoot—Dark Cavalry, Fusion Summon!"
Dark Magician and Gaia—both signature monsters of Yugi. Their union summoned a black-armored knight, with a spiral lance and magical armor, his magical steed neighing like thunder.

"So you've surpassed yourself again, forging new power, Yugi!" Kaiba shouted. "But it's too late! Your knight isn't a match for my 'Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon'!"

Atem: "Too naive, Kaiba! My knight's attack rises by 100 for each spell and trap in both our fields and graveyards!
Now, there are 22 spells and traps in total—so his attack rises by 2200!"

The knight's steed neighed, and his lance swept aside all the chains.
