Chapter 5 - Dual Realities: The Revolution Beyond the Sea

Bondiwald: What's this supposed to mean? That's it? It's over already?

Roger: I'm kind of curious what that kid will go through once he sets out to sea. Come to think of it, he set sail so early, yet during my lifetime, he never made a name for himself.

Whitebeard: The Revolutionary Army only started becoming active about five or six years after I died, but their growth was insanely fast. Maybe they'd been lying dormant and gathering strength long before that.

Rocks: With that kind of power and talent, that kid named Monkey D. Dragon is destined to stand at the very top of the world.

Red-Haired Shanks: Another white screen's lighting up… I remember they said before that this was a dual-world viewing, right?

Tsuru: The black screen obviously corresponds to our world—then the white screen must represent the other world.

Golden Lion: Another world, huh? Sounds interesting. I wonder what that other world's like.

Belo Betty: Does the other world have a Revolutionary Army too? I'm kind of curious—what kind of people are they? Is their leader as strong as Mr. Dragon?

Kalifa: So the Revolutionary Army's rats have crawled out of the gutters, huh? Belo Betty, commander of the Eastern Army—you will be captured by us.

Belo Betty: Aren't you one of CP's members? Unfortunately for you, all you can do right now is sit there and watch.

Monkey D. Dragon: Betty, speak less here. You might accidentally leak information.

Dragon's mind was racing.

A mysterious chatroom—and another world's Revolutionary Army.

"Is there some kind of connection between that world and ours? Otherwise, why would there be a Revolutionary Army there too? And how does their leader carry out their revolution?"

"And that mysterious voice said that once the viewing ends, both worlds will be affected somehow. What exactly does that mean?"

Dragon pondered deeply.

But no matter how much he thought, all he could do was keep watching to see what kind of video would appear next on the giant screen.

In Mariejois, the Five Elders were also waiting.

They too wanted to see what kind of accomplishments this so-called Revolutionary Army from another world could achieve.

As everyone's eyes were fixed on the screen—

A booming voice suddenly echoed again.

[Reward Quiz Begins]

[Question: What kind of person is the leader of the Revolutionary Army in the other world?]

[1: A fearless archaeologist pursuing the world's lost history]

[2: A gifted inventor capable of creating things born of human imagination]

[3: A soldier betrayed by his own nation after surviving countless battlefields, possessing overwhelming combat power]

[4: An ordinary citizen of a fallen nation—an orphan with no power]

[5: The son of a Navy hero, with both strength and talent to match]

[6: A kind-hearted Celestial Dragon who abandoned their divine status]

[7: A benevolent king ruling a great superpower]

[8: The world's greatest swordsman, who roams the land with his blade]

[Reward Quiz — Ten seconds to think. Make your choice after ten seconds.]

[Top three correct answers will receive great rewards, including all manner of fantastical human creations (such as resurrection items, extended lifespan, power, and more).]

Roger: Wait—did I just see that right? They're straight-up saying it now—resurrection items are real!

Whitebeard: I'm going to bring Ace back.

Roger: Ace is my son, Whitebeard. If anyone's bringing him back, it's me.

Garp: Ace is my grandson. Let this old man do it!

Ace: …

Luffy: I'll revive Ace!

Rocks: That kid Ace's background sure runs deep. So many people fighting over who gets to bring him back.

Golden Lion:Jiehahaha! You all act like the resurrection item's already in your hands!

Sengoku: With so many people answering, and only those few options, what matters most is when you pick the right one. And besides, the rewards are probably random. A resurrection item that rare isn't likely to show up for such a simple question.

Red Count: Simple, huh? Then why don't you break it down for us, Sengoku? Which one do you think is right?

"Analyze it?"

At the Navy's G-1 Branch—now the Marine Headquarters—Sengoku gave a cold chuckle.

Even if he could figure it out, who said he'd tell them?

Come to think of it, this mysterious chatroom might really give those legendary pirates a way to return to the living…

That would be disastrous for the Marines.

As the man who orchestrated the end of the Pirate Legends Era, Sengoku knew full well just how terrifyingly strong those pirates had been—far stronger than the Navy had been back then.

Roger's Pirates, the Red Count, BundiWald, Douglas Bullet, Golden Lion—

Each one had been hunted down through joint military efforts.

The Marines, on the other hand, had no need for resurrection. The old guard was still alive.

"So what's the correct answer…?"

Ten seconds wasn't long, but Sengoku was thinking fast.

Seven people, seven identities—

An archaeologist, an inventor, a soldier, a powerless orphan, a hero's son, a Celestial Dragon, and a king.

To be honest, those last two—the Celestial Dragon and the Navy hero's son—plus the fact that there's also a Revolutionary Army in that other world—it all makes Sengoku think that other world might be just like theirs.

Maybe even a parallel world.

Otherwise, how could that world also have Celestial Dragons and a Revolutionary Army?

And those seven identities—he could find parallels for almost all of them in this world.

An archaeologist like Dr. Clover.

An inventor like Vegapunk.

A soldier—could be Kaido, or maybe Bullet.

A powerless orphan—Whitebeard, Red Count… even he, Garp, and Akainu had all been war orphans.

A hero's son—that one was way too obvious.

A Celestial Dragon like those from the Donquixote family.

A king like Cobra, or others.

"If my guess is right," Sengoku thought, "then the answer's probably the Navy hero's son."

Ten seconds passed quickly, but Sengoku's mind had already raced through countless scenarios.

Thanks to the Navy's vast intelligence network and his own keen insight, he chose the most probable answer.

After all, the Revolutionary Army leader in their world was Dragon.

And if that other world truly mirrored their own—

Then the other world's Dragon was also likely its Revolutionary Army leader.

In terms of strength, talent, willpower, and intellect—Dragon was the perfect candidate for that role.

Even Sengoku couldn't deny that.
