Chapter 8 - Cat Girl

She was about 160cm tall, with long black hair cascading down her back, wearing light armor that concealed her extremely sensual curves.

What was special about her was that she had two cat ears and a cat tail wagging behind her.

'Cat girl?!' A thought flashed through Aldric's mind.

In this world, the Beastkin race truly existed, and most of them looked like humans but still possessed features such as ears and tails, or even other characteristics.

"Cat Girl?!" The assassin looked at the girl, seemingly a little startled by her beauty. He smirked and said sarcastically, "Ah! Very beautiful, looks like today's my lucky day."

"Wait until I've enjoyed you enough, then I'll sell you to the slave traders. I'm sure your value will be very high, kekeke..."

The cat girl crossed her arms over her chest, lifting her large breasts as if they were about to break through the light armor she was wearing, and laughed, "Ah! Looks like today I'll kill another slave trader."

"Tsk!" The assassin clicked his tongue and frowned, saying, "You beastkin are not only filthy but also very stupid. Do you know that I am..."

Whoosh!

"What?!" The assassin was startled before he could finish his sentence, as the Cat Girl appeared in front of him.

BAM!

Her fist slammed straight into his chest, sending him flying backward several meters.

The assassin spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, rolled a few times on the ground, but immediately jumped up.

He used his sleeve to wipe the blood from his mouth, gritting his teeth as he glared at the Cat Girl.

"You..."

"What's the matter?" The Cat Girl sneered, "Didn't you want to sell me to the slave traders?"

"You bitch!" The assassin clutched two daggers in his hands and immediately threw them at the Cat Girl.

The cat girl leaned slightly, easily dodging the two daggers flying towards her.

"If that's all you've got, you won't be able to defeat me." The Cat Girl laughed, her voice full of contempt.

The assassin smirked: "Huh! Is that so?"

At that moment, the two daggers suddenly emitted a strange purple light, and then...

BOOM!

Xi~ Xi~ Xi~

The two daggers suddenly exploded, releasing countless purple smoke that enveloped the entire space.

"Hahaha..." Seeing this, the assassin laughed loudly: "This smoke is poisonous. Although it won't kill you, it can paralyze you for an entire day."

"Kekeke... How does it feel? Unable to resist, just lying there helplessly—how does that feel, you trash? I'll..."

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a black shadow darted out from the smoke, charging straight toward the assassin.

He startled and shouted: "What the hell?!"

The Cat Girl lunged at him, her fist swinging up.

"Damn it!" The assassin had no time to dodge, so he could only raise his arm to block her punch.

Crack!

"AGH!!!"

The sound of breaking bones echoed, accompanied by his pitiful screams.

The assassin knelt on the ground, his right hand clutching his left. At this moment, his left hand was broken, the bone piercing through the skin, protruding outward, fresh blood flowing and soaking his hand.

"Agh! You bastard! Filthy, lowly beastkin, I'll…"

BAM!

Before he could finish, the Cat Girl swung her leg, kicking him in the face and sending him tumbling backward. Several teeth fell out, and fresh blood gushed from his mouth like a stream.

"Um... mn... um..." The assassin rolled around on the ground, his mouth emitting strange sounds from the intense pain, but his jaw was dislocated, leaving him unable to speak.

The cat girl tilted her head, looking toward Aldric, who was paralyzed by the purple smoke.

At this moment, even if Aldric hadn't been paralyzed by the purple smoke, he would have been paralyzed by the beauty of the Cat Girl standing before him.

Too beautiful...

A woman this beautiful, he could probably only see on TV or the internet.

But on TV or the internet, they all went through makeup or beauty enhancements using hidden applications.

This cat girl, however, was completely naturally beautiful. She didn't even need makeup to rival the women Aldric saw on TV or the internet.

Especially her large breasts, small waist, and toned legs. That figure was truly too seductive, causing Aldric's eyes to stare fixedly at it.

"Hey! I'll save you, but it'll cost you 100 gold coins." The Cat Girl said with a smile.

"Heh?!" Aldric heard the Cat Girl's words and felt confused.

"Too expensive?" The Cat Girl tilted her head, her face showing hesitation: "Then... 80 gold coins. I can't go any lower."

Aldric seemed to realize something. After all, he had flirted with many women on Earth, and looking at the Cat Girl's expression and words, he seemed to be able to guess 50% of her personality.

He sighed and said, "80 gold coins is fine. However, I'm paralyzed by the poisonous smoke and can't move. If you kill him, I'll still be in danger here."

"Then I'll pay you more, for a total of 150 gold coins. You save me, then take me to the nearest town, okay?"

"Ah!" The Cat Girl heard this, her eyes lit up, and she smiled, saying, "Of course it's fine. But 150 gold coins is too much. After all, this is just a small matter. I'll give you a discount, only 140 gold coins."

"Great!" Aldric smiled and replied, "I have 10 gold coins in my bag. You can take them first. Once I'm no longer paralyzed, I'll pay you the rest."

The Cat Girl waved her hand, seeming unconcerned: "It's fine, I trust you, hahaha..."

Aldric looked at the Cat Girl and said softly, "I'm Aldric. What's your name?"

The Cat Girl smiled and said, "Naya!"

"Ah! Naya, if you kill that assassin, I can pay you an extra 20 gold coins."

"Really?" Naya asked excitedly upon hearing this.

"Of course!" Aldric replied with a smile: "I have no reason to deceive you. Besides, my body is paralyzed, I have no strength to resist. You are so strong, if I deceive you, wouldn't I be asking for death?"

Naya tilted her head, then nodded, smiling and saying: "You're right. Fine! I'll help you kill him."

She finished speaking and walked toward the assassin.

The assassin naturally heard their conversation. He tried to crawl away, but Naya had already reached him.

"Um... mm... ugh!" He wanted to say something, but only strange sounds came out of his mouth, no words at all.

"Sorry about that ~ He paid me 20 gold coins to kill you, so hehehe..."

"UGH!!!"

The assassin screamed, but it was too late. Naya's eyes had turned cold and terrifying, filled with a terrifying killing intent.

Then...

Crack!

The assassin's head was twisted backward. His eyes widened, filled with horror and disbelief, along with humiliation.

He never thought his life was only worth 20 gold coins.

Thud!

The assassin's body fell with a thud onto the ground. Aldric saw this scene and shuddered, his spine turning cold.

After all, he was just an ordinary person on Earth. No matter how many girls he flirted with, he was still just an ordinary person.

This was the first time he had ever seen someone die right before his eyes, and even worse, have their neck snapped.

Aldric looked at Naya, the cheerful and seemingly foolish girl who possessed terrifying strength and fighting skills.

Naya rummaged through the assassin's pockets, pulling out a cloth bag and another dagger, bringing them before Aldric and smiling, "Your spoils of war!"

"Heh?!" Aldric was a little surprised by Naya's actions and asked in confusion, "Aren't you taking them?"

"Why should I take them? You hired me, I work for you. These things I got while you hired me, so they belong to you."

"Pff! Hahaha..." Aldric chuckled.

Naya tilted her head in confusion and asked, "Did... did I do something wrong?"

"No! You did exactly the right thing." Aldric shook his head.

He looked at the assassin and realized that before he died, the assassin probably never imagined that his life was only worth 20 gold coins.

It must be known that in this world, with 10 coins, a family of four could live comfortably for a month.

But for Adventurers or Awakened, 10 gold coins were just a grain of sand in the desert.

160 gold coins to free Aldric from his desperate situation and kill the assassin—that price… was too cheap.

So cheap that even the assassin felt humiliated as he died.

Aldric suddenly thought of something. He looked at Naya and asked with a smile, "Do you want a long-term job?"
