Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Reversed Hierophant

—The Reversed Hierophant.

This is not a good card.

"Impossible!" Fuyika picked up the tarot cards, bewildered. Faced with the sacred act of divination, she even forgot the pressure Johnson was exerting on her.

"Your facial features, aura, and palm lines cannot possibly indicate a reversed card." Fuyika began biting her fingers, her expression no longer composed but rather anxious. Finally, she spoke with some difficulty: "Your facial features completely contradict the card's interpretation."

"No need," Johnson replied slowly, in a profound tone, "I don't care for these things. To me, everything here is perfectly clear."

The skill Best Villain Charm Unlimited gave him enough charisma, and he had to maintain his disguise.

Fuyika was not a simple woman. No matter what, he had to win her over. She had traveled extensively, and regardless of whether she truly possessed ability, her composure in the face of the Best Villain Charm Unlimited skill was enough for her to become his ally.

Fuyika frowned, not expecting that the other party had reached a point where he could not be probed. Divination was ineffective before him.

"I landed here as a trial." What the hell am I saying?

"A trial?"

Seeing Johnson like a deity, Fuyika revealed innocent and vulnerable eyes. From the moment she met Johnson, she could completely feel the charm contained within this man's body. Although he was just a boy, he gave her the gravitational pull of a black hole, making her feel as if he were a calm and collected king.

"I overstepped," Fuyika murmured, lowering her head, "How could I possibly see your future?"

"You are the chosen one. Your purpose and life will lead to a bright future."

She extended her index finger and placed it on the Reversed Hierophant, her voice trembling slightly, "You are a Stand User, aren't you?"

Johnson raised an eyebrow, startled, but remained calm and silent. Unfortunately, he wasn't, but not being a Stand User would be too embarrassing. Saying it out loud would be as foolish as his old man Dio freezing time to move Polnareff.

"Although I am not a Stand User and cannot see Stands, I know of their existence. I know many things," Fuyika said, "Stands originate from extraterrestrial meteorites and can awaken a person's potential."

It was a good thing she wasn't a Stand User; he could continue his act.

Fuyika said lightly, trying to make herself seem useful.

"However," she continued, "some people are born Stand Users."

Yes... she's right. Johnson thought to himself. Later, it was said that the Arrow was the cause of Standawakening, but it seemed that all of the Joestar Family, except for Jolyne Kujo, awakened their Stands on their own.

In Part 5, it was stated that the Arrow was key to Stands, awakening them and allowing them to evolve. Why could the Joestar Family's Stands awaken on their own?

"When I was young, I had a senior sister who was always researching the Arrow and Stands."

Senior sister?

"She obtained an Arrow that could awaken Stands, yet she also told me that there was an adult who possessed the talent to dominate the world."

Hmm? Could her senior sister be... Don't tell me it's such a coincidence??

"That was ten years ago," Fuyika said. "I'm not sure, but in the letter she wrote to me, she invited me to assist that adult, but I didn't go."

Because of her divination results, her divination told her that the true adult she was meant to assist had not yet appeared.

For many years, her divination had never been wrong, but today she completely failed in front of Johnson.

The Reversed Hierophant... and what she saw was a completely opposite interpretation. Could the man before her truly be an existence she could not overstep?

"I understand. I don't care about the past at all. With me as the focal point, it's a new beginning," Johnsonsaid, guessing that Fuyika's senior sister was likely Granny Enya, but it wasn't certain.

"With me as the focal point, it's a new beginning." These words dissipated into the blue smoke burning from the Chinese censer in the tent, concealed by the darkness.

What arrogant words, Fuyika's heart tightened, but she couldn't ignore the convincing aura emanating from Johnson. Even if she just brushed past him, Fuyika could accurately find his figure in a crowd.

When he passed by her shop, she clearly and sensitively felt that bone-chilling kingly aura.

On one hand, she was subservient to such magnanimity, and on the other, she thought highly of Johnson. If he truly was the Son of God, just standing by his side would be an unparalleled honor.

Johnson stood up from his seat, and Fuyika also rose. The dark tent made their distance seem incredibly vast. Fuyika's heart was anxious, and she finally performed a perfect curtsy: "I am willing to serve Lord Johnson. My presence here is guided by destiny."

Johnson looked down at her, his face hidden in the darkness, unreadable, but his red eyes were like a pool of crimson water.

He remained silent, not giving Fuyika any orders. As Fuyika grew more anxious, he finally spoke: "Stand Users attract each other."

"Only Stand Users connect with Stand Users. You are not a Stand User; you haven't undergone the trial of the arrow."

His voice was hoarse as he walked to the mirror in the tent. His golden hair glowed in the yellow candlelight, then he turned around and gently lifted Fuyika's small face, which was kneeling on the ground, with his right hand.

"Only by undergoing the trial of the arrow will you be qualified to Stand by my side."

Fuyika's deep blue eyes involuntarily darkened considerably, cold sweat dripped from her temples, and fear spread throughout her body.

Stand Users should theoretically be rare, but in reality, there are many. An excellent diviner like Fuyika, from a renowned lineage, had several opportunities to become a Stand User, but she refused them all.

In anime, it seems that no matter if it's a Prisoninmate, a passerby, or a pet, a single shot with an arrow immediately grants them a Stand. However, in reality, the death rate from the arrow is quite high. Fuyika had no need to risk obtaining a Stand.

"I am willing to accept the trial of the arrow," Fuyikasaid, but there are only a dozen or so arrows in the entire world. How could it be so easy to see one again? As Fuyika was wondering where to find an arrow, she looked up and saw Johnson had already walked elsewhere.

"I have one placed in..." Johnson walked to an ancient, unclear leather map in the tent, extended his slender index finger, and traced it rhythmically, landing on...—the Roman Empire.

"It's time to retrieve my arrow."

Fuyika looked at Johnson in disbelief.

"My belongings, I see them clearly." He gently tapped Rome, then Egypt, and then crossed thousands of mountains and rivers to land on the Japanese island.

Johnson smiled. When he reached Fuyika, he stroked her head and walked out of the tent.

"Wait! Lord Johnson, when will I see you again? Please don't abandon me, please test me."

"When destiny deems you ready to accept the trial," Johnson said without looking back.

He suddenly pulled open the tent's curtain, and the moonlight made his silhouette even darker. As it imprinted in Fuyika's eyes, the image of Johnson Joffrey in Fuyika's heart drew its most brilliant stroke.

The curtain closed, and the baptism of moonlight made her feel her life had reached a climax. She took a deep breath, knelt on the ground, and with all her strength, cold sweat soaked through her sheer clothing. She panted heavily, as if she had been crushed by a giant wheel after a climax.

God guided me here so that I could Stand by his side.

"Ah! God, please use me!"
