Chapter 48 - Chapter 47: Sleeping with Sarada

Under Boruto's combined verbal and physical attacks, Fenggu and several rogue ninja were battered and bruised.

They knelt in a row, looking completely disheveled.

"It's a pity they don't have Uchiha Shin's recovery ability. If I keep tormenting them, they might actually die."

"Enough, let's stop here."

Boruto stretched lightly, then released the Transformation Technique, returning to his original form.

Seeing Boruto cancel his transformation and turn to leave, the rogue ninja finally let out a shaky sigh of relief.

Some even hugged each other and cried, releasing all the pain they'd been holding in.

"Shut up."

"You're too loud."

"Do you want to taste pain again?" Boruto said coldly.

At his warning, they immediately went silent, their crying reduced to small, fearful whimpers.

"Boruto, that Absorption Palm technique you used was amazing. You pulled them from such a distance," Kagura said as he stepped forward.

"That's just a minor trick. But these guys will probably be stuck in the hospital for ten days to half a month."

Boruto smiled faintly, gesturing to the rogue ninja behind him.

"No matter. They deserve the lesson," Kagura said, shaking his head.

"Oh, Kagura, I need your help with something."

Boruto suddenly changed the topic, glancing toward Sarada beside him.

"What is it?" Kagura asked.

"It's nothing big. Just come with me for a moment."

Boruto led Kagura away from the crowd.

"Boruto, go ahead. They can't hear us here," Kagura said.

"I want you to help me book a hotel room. Just for me," Boruto said bluntly.

"A room just for you?" Kagura blinked. "I thought it was something serious. No problem—leave it to me."

Kagura then walked back to the group. "Everyone, good work today. It's getting late. Let's head back to the hotel."

He led everyone away.

Sarada watched them go, curiosity bubbling inside her.

"Boruto, what did you talk about with Kagura? You were so secretive," she asked, stepping beside him.

Boruto smiled, leaned close to her ear, and whispered something.

Sarada's cheeks instantly flushed red, spreading all the way to her ears.

That night in Kirigakure, a thin, misty veil covered the village.

Inside a luxurious hotel room, Sarada—wearing soft pink pajamas—slowly sat up on her bed.

She moved delicately, careful not to wake Chocho or Sumire, who were sleeping nearby.

A mix of anticipation, nervousness, and fear surged in her chest.

Finally, she made up her mind. She slipped out of bed and placed her bare feet on the soft carpet.

Every step she took was silent, cautious, and full of tension.

She reached the door, took a slow breath, and gently pushed it open.

The hinge let out a soft sound. She quickly closed it again so as not to wake them.

The corridor was empty and quiet. Her heartbeat quickened with each step.

She reached another door. Her fingers rested on the cold doorknob.

A sudden wave of hesitation washed over her.

A deep blush spread across her face as her Sharingan flickered to life without her noticing.

Then, gathering her courage, she turned the handle. It wasn't locked.

She entered and closed the door behind her.

The room was dark, but Sarada could clearly see Boruto lying under the covers, seemingly asleep.

"He's… asleep?"

She stood by the doorway, unsure what to do, frozen in place.

Boruto, however, wasn't asleep at all.

He sensed her from the moment she left her room. He inwardly sighed at how long she stood there, hesitating.

After a moment, Sarada finally moved. She approached the bed, sat lightly on the edge, and then slipped under the covers.

She turned her back to Boruto, her entire body stiff with nervousness. She curled up slightly, barely able to breathe.

Suddenly, Boruto wrapped an arm around her waist.

Sarada trembled instantly.

"Boruto… you… you weren't asleep?" she whispered, her face burning hot.

Boruto rested his chin against her hair and inhaled her faint scent.

"Mmm."

He tightened his hold around her.

"We…" Sarada tried to speak, her heart pounding loudly.

"Don't talk. Sleep," Boruto murmured, pulling her even closer.

Sarada slowly relaxed, resting her head against his chest.

His steady heartbeat filled her with a warmth she couldn't describe.

The two of them fell asleep in each other's arms, without another word.

The next morning, sunlight spilled across the room. Sarada slowly woke up, still in Boruto's embrace.

She jerked upright.

"Oh no!"

She slipped out of his arms and rushed toward the door.

"What's wrong, Sarada?" Boruto asked, sitting up lazily and smiling at her flustered expression.

"I snuck out without Chocho and the class rep knowing. If they find out—"

Just before pushing the door open, she turned back, jogged to the bed, and quickly kissed Boruto on the lips.

Then she bolted out of the room.

Boruto touched his lips and smiled slightly as he watched her hurried silhouette vanish.

When Sarada returned to her room, Chocho and Sumire were still asleep.

She let out a huge sigh of relief, climbed into bed, and pretended she had been there the whole time.

Not long after, Chocho woke up and stretched.

"Sarada, where'd you go last night? I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and you weren't in bed."

Sarada froze for a moment but quickly composed herself.

"I suddenly felt hungry, so I went downstairs to eat something."

"You actually ate without calling me?"

Chocho looked at her suspiciously, but didn't press it further.

She simply grumbled while Sarada apologized and promised to take her next time.
