Chapter Sixty–five:

The door to Luna's room didn't just open; it was shoved aside as Magnus barged in, his heavy footsteps echoing against the wooden floorboards. He stopped dead in his tracks, his chest heaving as he stared at the figure sitting in the shadows. His yellow eyes widened, flickering with a mix of primal relief and sheer, unadulterated terror.

"It's true," Magnus breathed, his voice trembling. "You are alive. I saw the hole in your chest, Raven. I saw the life leave you."

Luna didn't move. She was seated in a high-backed chair, her posture perfect, her hands resting idly on the armrests. She looked like a statue carved from obsidian and moonlight. "Yes, I am," she said, her voice sounding like the chime of a silver bell in a graveyard. "Didn't Amelia explain it to you?"
