The Unbearable Pain
"可恶 (Damn it)! 可恶! 可恶!"
Zhao Xuan trembles, cursing frantically in his heart.
He had explicitly—explicitly—intended to use Yūko Tachikawa as a "human shield." He had never taken her seriously; their so-called relationship was entirely her wishful thinking.
And Yūko had fulfilled his wish, taking the fatal blow for him!
But why?
Why was there unbearable pain in his heart? This suffocating feeling... and the uncontrollable trembling... it was infuriating!
Zhao Xuan violently pinched his own thigh, forcing himself to clear his head.
What he needed to do now was kill Hideo Shimada!
Waiting for an Opportunity
Outside the classroom, the battle between Shimada and Shinichi Izumi is in full swing. Their tentacles clash like lightning, creating a continuous metallic sound, scarring the windows, cabinets, and walls around them.
"Shinichi Izumi... your incomplete parasitism... is no match for me!" Shimada mocks, holding his own despite his acid injuries.
Izumi is desperately defending against Shimada's furious, two-pronged attack, barely managing to hold on. He cannot retreat, for behind him lies his childhood friend, Murano.
Zhao Xuan grabs the severed steel table leg, its sharp, angled cut resembling an enlarged needle. In his pocket, he holds his secret weapons: the concentrated sulfuric acid and the Lesser Adrenaline Potion.
He doesn't rush in. He waits for a moment—a single opportunity to deliver a fatal strike. He knows that if he draws attention, he'll be cut into pieces before he reaches the Parasyte.
The Opening
The standoff is interrupted by the sound of approaching police sirens. Knowing he must end the fight quickly, Shimada spots Izumi's weakness: he is relentlessly guarding the unconscious Murano behind him.
Shimada realizes that Murano is the girl who injured him with the acid. He decisively detaches one tentacle, whipping it around Izumi toward Murano.
Izumi, realizing Shimada's intent, desperately tries to adjust his stance and block the attack. However, Migi (Little Right) has different orders: to protect its host, Izumi, at all costs. The conflicting commands lead to a severe lack of coordination in Izumi's body.
Migi yells in alarm and attempts to rapidly reverse course to block the attack on Murano, knowing that if it fails, the attack will hit Izumi instead.
Migi barely manages to block the swift attack on Murano. But Shimada has two tentacles.
The second tentacle, which Migi had originally intended to block, viciously stabs deep into Izumi's left shoulder, pinning him to the floor. Izumi cries out in agony.
"New...ichi!" Migi cries out.
"I told you... your incomplete parasitism... is no match for me..." Shimada gloats.
As the other tentacle continues to fight Migi, Shimada taunts him: "Your host... is gravely wounded... he will bleed to death soon... you are merely struggling in vain..."
Migi grows desperate. The host's death means its own death. Shimada, sensing Migi's fear, extends an invitation: "Why not... join my body... together... we will become... even stronger..."
Migi briefly considers surrendering to survive.
Just as Migi is about to give up, something flies from the classroom window and smashes onto the "chrysanthemum" head of the distracted Shimada.
Instinctively, Shimada's tentacle shatters the incoming object—the concentrated sulfuric acid—splashing the solution all over his head.
"Aah—"
Shimada screams as white smoke and a stench rise. His tentacles instantly shrivel, spasm, and writhe in pain.
"Die!"
Zhao Xuan smashes through the already damaged window, lunging onto Shimada and tackling him to the ground. Holding the steel table leg high, he plunges the makeshift weapon deep into Shimada's chest, right near his heart!
A torrent of bright red blood gushes out!
