Chapter 86 - Chapter 86: Breach Back Part 2 - Mirror Umbral Part 7.

My Summon flies over the mountain range where the quarry is located.

Near a cavernous entrance, two intense points of light are visible, one red and the other black.

These two immaterial objects emanate mutually a beam of light towards the other, creating an ethereal wine colored line.

{What is that?}.

My question is answered by the terrified gasps of Brenna and Balalaika, both saying. "«Beacon»". At unison.

{Interesting. The Summon can only see a part of the event, like me. However, the descendants of the Berezovsky Clan can see the mental image as it truly is. Perhaps they can tell me what is in Azthea's moon}.

"We are not in a position to prevent the establishment of a Beacon". States Collette with a groan, her gaze showing killing instinct against the Species that she despises so much. "Even with the Farioth, the transition of Naiyag'Kort from Level 5 to 6 is barely starting".

She turns to the Saintess. "Your Wardeness may disregard her duties, and you overlook her rash behavior, but i will not stand far from My Custodian".

"Commendable, but foolish resolution, Collette Cordan". Retorts wisely the Alt'Ver Saintess Synchronized with the Saintess.

"Protecting anyone, isn't just about staying by their side. It's about ensuring their well-being. The «Female Farioth» as you call her, is not like the rest of her lineage, we could finally establish a dialogue with them, reducing the lost of countless lives in a transcendental conflict that surpasses your world. But drived by Prejudice of your past, and Arrogance to admit your own mistakes, you prefer to consciously deny what you saw, discarding the possibility of a better future, for an immediate placebo… , Let me tell you, «Our mistakes shape us, our decisions mold us, and life forge us». We are unaware of the former, ignore the middle, and lack control over the latter. Stop wasting your faith in veiled truths, or don't you dare to cry when you are finally obligated to face the orchestra behind the curtain".

{What a life lecture…}.

I whisper to Cadrissa, pondering if we should go into what could be a trap. "Hey!. Who or What can impose a threat for the Farioth to keep them away of the quarries, and has the knowledge to establish Beacons?".

"Even together, those questions are very broad, Vurckair. The Åwllöûön, Darnagarian, Drêringêr, Jitaris. The list is long. The Farioth are not particularly welcomed on any world".

"What about a common enemy they share with the Thovas?".

"«Thova», the S is not added in the plural, though Nifflers and Drêringêr are the only names i can think of. They have pointed ears like the Elves and Alvzons. But none of them work together, if that is your concern".

"I am not preoccupied, Cadrissa. But. «How bad could it be, if they form a coalition?»".

Cadrissa doesn't respond, clearly shaken by the mere implication.

"I heard you two". Comments Farllette with a dim murmur, posing her palms over my shoulder, and Cadrissa's, slowly dragging us away from the discussion Collette has with the Alt'Ver Saintess. "Nifflers must perish, let's interrupt the ritual…".

Farllette is very impulsive, Cadrissa isn't, but the three of us have the same disposition regarding this topic, and with my new abilities and amplified comprehension, i'm able to share the Vecturion Camouflage with this two accomplices.

Bayron notices when we sneak out, not commenting about it, though i can't pinpoint if he agrees with us, he chose to not stand in our way, or is he showing his respect towards me, after all, a Lieutenant doesn't respond to a Corporal, nor it owes any explanation.

The trip is filled with the appearance of several anomalies along the way, from which various creatures emerge, disoriented and hostile about being taken away from their Homeworlds.

The cavern in the quarry is neither protected nor guarded, absent of Sentinels, Summons, or any kind of security measures, easily passing through the tunnels, maintaining physical contact with Farllette and Cadrissa, soni can keep sharing the camouflage.

{Perhaps this place is the Monstrous Brain's lair?. No, that doesn't make sense. The creature appeared from the anomalies of Naiyag'Kort leveling up like the Grogger did. But. How could this beast prowl unnoticed for the perfect moment to strike?}.

I stop abruptly.

"What if the Monstrous Brain is someone's Embryon?".

The question alerts my two companions, both ready to engage in combat.

{So i'm the last to realize it}.

Deeper into the tunnels, there is a large cave, the Female Farioth, a coal skinned woman, the Thova, Natvasha, and the Alt'Ver of Collette are kneeling.

Their thighs are pierced by metal rods that combine the Stat colour represented by them, and those at their side.

Their arms are outstretched to form a pentagon, palms overlapping with stakes going through their bone and flesh. The elbows are broken in the opposite direction to how they bend, shaping a start, and the perpetrator of this insane feat, is none other than my Alt'Ver, who is accompanied by four snow white elves clad in armors.

Cadrissa is surprised, not grossed out, nor shocked by the scene, but dismayed by the unusual ritual performed by the elves.

"Nifflers". She murmurs, and i ask.

"Do you know how to interfere in this ritual without killing the sacrifices?".

"We don't have to know". Retorts Farllette with bloodlust. "Let's dismember the Nifflers and extract the details. Make sure to stop your Alt'Ver, Vecturion".

The Alvzon sprints forward, bringing Ennervette, the small Dragonoid and her Charcoal Summon into the fray of the battle.

The Monstrous Brain lunges from the cavern's ceiling, breaking the Alvzon's formation by attempting a tackle over Farllette. Ennervette intercepts the scrawny humanoid made of rachitic bones supporting an overdeveloped brain, clashing in a frenzied brawl, disrupting the ritual by bouncing and rolling forward, crushing the coal skinned woman.

"She is so reckless!". Growls Cadrissa, Dashing with a pinkish trail, slashing in half a Niffler before the other three can react.

The chest of my Alt'Ver glows, and the silhouette of two Monstrous Brains are shaped.

{It wasn't an Embryon, if not a Minion, and he can control three of them simultaneously…}.
