Nine Remoteness Master was the legendary Guardian God Master of the Ancestral God Sect, representing the highest echelon among the sect's outer members.
His divine body spanned the entire Nine Remoteness Ocean, stretching over ten light-years in diameter. His strength rivaled that of Primal Chaos City Leader, placing him among the pinnacle fifth-tier Universe Masters. Within Nine Remoteness Space, he was virtually invincible.
When Nine Remoteness Master ventured beyond his domain to explore, he never risked his true body. Instead, he sent energy avatars condensed from the Nine Remoteness Ocean itself, avatars capable of self-destructing at will. These avatars typically carried no supreme treasures, functioning much like the split bodies Han Jue's Star Stream Sea clone could create.
In many ways, their life forms were remarkably similar.
Nine Remoteness Master's reputation extended throughout the entire universe. He was notoriously difficult to deal with, and killing him yielded minimal benefit, making few willing to antagonize him.
When the Island Lord of Bauhinia Island mentioned that Nine Remoteness Master wanted to meet him, Han Jue naturally welcomed the opportunity. Meeting this legendary Universe Master might provide the chance to obtain the perfect gene level he'd been seeking.
Nine Remoteness Space
After the Island Lord brought Han Jue to Nine Remoteness Space, he departed without accompanying Han Jue to meet Nine Remoteness Master.
Han Jue didn't mind. He simply strolled through Nine Remoteness Space with genuine curiosity, in no particular hurry to meet its master. Of course, Nine Remoteness Master already knew the moment Han Jue entered his domain.
Nine Remoteness Space measured approximately twelve light-years in diameter. From the outside, it resembled an endless water world.
In reality, this entire space was the location of Nine Remoteness Master's true body, the Nine Remoteness Ocean itself.
Speaking of which, there's a World Tree at the Universe Master level here, Han Jue mused. I wonder if there's any way to help Shi Xing break through to Universe Venerable level.
Even the weakest World Master-level World Tree possessed a life gene level a thousand times higher than an ordinary human. In contrast, the Star-Devouring Grass was merely equivalent to ten times the baseline gene level. At its Immortal-level limit, it could only reach a million times the power of a World Master, making it invincible among Kings, perhaps, but nothing more.
Though the Star-Devouring Grass proved formidable at the Immortal level, it struggled terribly with law comprehension. Han Jue had left the Star-Devouring Grass back on Earth. It could no longer help him and might even become a burden.
After all, the enemies who could fight Han Jue now were at minimum high-level Universe Venerables or Universe Overlords. Even Universe Masters would target him. If the Star-Devouring Grass dared appear in such battles, its divine body would be annihilated instantly.
If it could somehow obtain the World Tree's bloodline talent, the Star-Devouring Grass's potential would increase dramatically. With Han Jue's assistance, it might even have a real chance of becoming a Universe Venerable.
But after considering it further, Han Jue abandoned the idea.
The Star-Devouring Grass obtaining the World Tree's talent? Virtually impossible.
While the Star-Devouring Grass could devour planets, that didn't mean consuming a World Tree would grant it that bloodline's abilities. This was fundamentally different from the clone technique. In the universe, there were almost no heaven-defying abilities that allowed one to directly acquire another's innate talents through devouring.
Nine Remoteness Space wasn't terribly large, only twelve light-years in diameter, a distance Han Jue could traverse in a single teleport.
Though Han Jue hadn't fully comprehended the fundamental Space Laws, the Six-Eyed One had bestowed upon him an extraordinarily powerful spatial law talent. This far surpassed even those favored by the fundamental Space Laws, like the Demon Slayer Clan!
This allowed Han Jue's spatial law comprehension, even while still at the Immortal level, to achieve teleportation distances comparable to a Universe Venerable, capable of spanning thousands of light-years with a single thought.
Without spending much time, Han Jue quickly explored the entirety of Nine Remoteness Space. He even encountered the strongest World Tree resident there.
That World Tree stood as a top-tier Universe Overlord. Its massive divine body combined with innate secret techniques allowed it to rival even some weaker Universe Masters.
"Nine Remoteness Master, since you wished to see me, why don't you come out?" Having finished his exploration, Han Jue stood floating in the void, speaking with a light chuckle.
Whoosh!
In the next instant, a figure teleported directly beside Han Jue!
This was a middle-aged man dressed in magnificent black robes, his pale face adorned with black mystical patterns that exuded an eerie, otherworldly charm.
"Haha! I didn't want to disturb your tour," Nine Remoteness Master said. Though typically aloof with others, he smiled warmly when facing Han Jue.
"Star Sea Venerable, do you know why I sought you out?" Nine Remoteness Master asked directly.
"Is it because this avatar of mine resembles your true form?" Han Jue replied with a knowing smile.
The Star Stream Sea and the Nine Remoteness Ocean shared many fundamental similarities.
But ultimately, the Star Stream Sea remained inferior to the Nine Remoteness Ocean. Even if the Star Stream Sea's master became a Universe Master, he would still pale in comparison to the Nine Remoteness Master standing before him. In terms of divine body size alone, he would be completely overwhelmed.
Han Jue suspected that if Nine Remoteness Master had taken interest in him, it was probably because of his Star Stream Sea avatar.
"Yes and no," Nine Remoteness Master laughed heartily. "Besides discussing ideas, I also want to invite you to become a Guardian of my Nine Remoteness lineage."
"Guardian?" Han Jue showed slight surprise.
"That's right, Guardian," Nine Remoteness Master nodded. "The Ancestral God Sect's outer organization is divided into Guardian Emissaries, Guardian Venerables, Guardian Masters, and Guardian God Masters. I hold the position of Guardian God Master within the Ancestral God Sect, leading a force that includes many powerful Universe Masters and Universe Venerables under my command."
"I recently learned you fought against Sky Wolf Master."
"Your achievements on Ice Prison Star have already spread throughout the universe. Even though the Monster Race tried to suppress the information, most Universe Master-level powerhouses in the Original Universe know that you forced Sky Wolf Master to hide inside Sky Wolf Palace to resist your assault. This alone proves you possess combat power rivaling a Universe Master!"
"Speaking of which, Sky Wolf Master and I share an old grudge. We can be considered to have a common enemy." Nine Remoteness Master looked at Han Jue with an approving smile.
Han Jue nodded. He was well aware that Sky Wolf Master had once joined forces with another Monster Race Universe Master to hunt down Nine Remoteness Master. In the end, Sky Wolf Master only managed to escape thanks to Sky Wolf Palace's protection.
"How about it? Normally, only Universe Masters can serve as Guardian Masters, and your strength is insufficient to become a Guardian God Master. This is already the best option available," Nine Remoteness Master asked with genuine interest.
"Becoming an outer member grants considerable freedom. You only need to occasionally complete tasks assigned by the Ancestral God Sect."
"Then I shall respectfully accept, Guardian God Master." Han Jue smiled lightly and gave a slight nod.
Nine Remoteness Master didn't care about such trivial matters of etiquette. It was only natural for a genius to carry some pride.
His face lit up with joy as he laughed loudly. "Excellent! This is an Ancestral God Token. Once you've imprinted it with your life mark, only you will be able to use it. Through this token, you can contact the Ancestral God Sect at any time. The sect also issues tasks through these tokens. As long as you're within this universe, you can maintain communication through it."
Han Jue accepted the token. It felt heavy and cold in his palm.
The Ancestral God Token bore only two characters, "Ancestral God." The characters were composed of countless secret patterns. Though Han Jue didn't recognize their linguistic origin, he could immediately comprehend that they represented "Ancestral God."
