The Protect barrier exploded. Having lost its final line of defense, the remaining stone shards rained down on Hitmonlee.
Amidst a rumbling sound, several sharp stones crashed down together.

The red light faded, and a dark blue Pokémon resembling a rhinoceros beetle appeared on the battlefield. Its dark blue exoskeleton formed hard armor, and a massive single horn sat atop its head.

Heracross, the King of Bugs. With a base stat total of 500, it is a rare Bug-type Pokémon with high stats.
It possesses immense strength, with a staggering 125 base Attack, allowing it to easily lift objects a hundred times its own weight. It loves honey and generally has a docile personality.

As soon as Heracross appeared, a faint flame flickered across its body. The stinging pain from the burn caused Heracross to cry out.

It seemed Wei Xinhong had equipped Heracross with a Flame Orb before the battle.

Heracross raised its arms and cried out twice. The large horn on its head instantly burst with intense light, the dense Bug-type energy almost solidifying.
At the same time, Heracross's body was wrapped in a faint white glow.
Lightspeed Horn Attack—a combination move of Quick Attack and Megahorn.
Megahorn is a Bug-type move with a power of 120; its force is not to be underestimated.
Heracross exerted all its strength, its body encased in the dark blue exoskeleton transforming into a cannonball as it slammed toward Tyranitar.

Tyranitar roared and stomped heavily on the ground.
The next moment, countless stone pillars shot up from the ground like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, blocking the path between Tyranitar and Heracross.

Heracross's large horn collided with Tyranitar's fist, which was bigger than Heracross's entire head.
Sparks and flames exploded outward.

With a miserable wail, Heracross's dark blue body was sent flying backward.

Heracross smashed onto the ground, rolling twice before its body came to a stop.

Heracross's body trembled. Just as it tried to crawl up, a cluster of flames rose from its body, stripping away the last sliver of its stamina. It fell heavily back to the ground.
"Heracross is unable to battle!!—"
Two Pokémon down in succession. Meanwhile, Tyranitar had already fully stacked the passives of its three Titan's Resolves.
The stacking mechanic of Titan's Resolve was perfectly suited for Tyranitar. Because of Tyranitar's Sand Stream ability, every time the sandstorm damaged the opponent, it counted as dealing damage, adding a stack.
This caused Tyranitar's Titan stacks to max out incredibly fast.
Once fully stacked, a single Titan's Resolve provided Tyranitar with 50 Special Attack, 60 Attack, 40 Defense, and 30 Special Defense.
Three items meant 150 Special Attack, 180 Attack, 120 Defense, and 90 Special Defense.
On the other side, Wei Xinhong recalled Heracross into its Pokéball, his heart filled with despair.
Even his Level 51 Heracross was one-shotted by Tyranitar.
"Go!! Mienshao!!!—"
"POP!!—"
Red light flew into the arena, transforming into a slender, white Pokémon with arms that looked like long sleeves.

Type: Fighting
Ability: Reckless (Powers up moves that have recoil damage)
Potential: A+
A Level 53 Mienshao—Wei Xinhong's ace Pokémon.
As soon as Mienshao appeared, it looked around, searching for its opponent.
Suddenly, Mienshao's gaze froze, and it slowly tilted its head back to look up at the sky.
High above, Tyranitar was looking down at Mienshao.

Mienshao took two steps back and turned to look at its trainer.

Tyranitar's height, however, was nearly seven times that of Mienshao.
If Mienshao jumped up for a High Jump Kick, it would, at best, hit Tyranitar's knee.

Let alone Mienshao, anyone looking at such a monster would be bewildered.
But there was no choice. Surrendering without a fight was something Wei Xinhong absolutely could not accept.

In the photo, a Tyranitar roared at the heavens, yellow sand swirling behind it, standing alone on the battlefield like an arrogant, ferocious king of the desert.
In the audience, applause and cheers rose and fell like waves.
