But the instant Nidoking stomped, Arbok's black figure leaped high into the air, and a black draconic shadow instantly formed around its body!!

Under the utterly astonished gazes of the Tang siblings, Arbok enveloped itself in the black draconic shadow. The dragon-head pattern on its belly erupted with two scarlet points of light, which were mirrored in the eyes of the draconic shadow.

With a deafening roar, Arbok plummeted toward Nidoking, its Dragon Aura fiercely compressed and surging toward its opponent.
"Protect!!—"
The terrifying might made even Tyson Tang feel a chill. He didn't dare let Nidoking take the hit.
Nidoking roared, and a pale green barrier instantly appeared before it.
The draconic shadow slammed down the moment the barrier went up.
"BOOM!!!!—"
An explosion ripped through the air! Mixed with a sharp, chilling dragon cry that burst across the arena.
Nidoking and Arbok separated at the center of the explosion.
The ground around Nidoking, already weakened by the first Earthquake, was completely destroyed by the impact of Dragon Rush, creating a huge crater that covered Nidoking's legs.
As for Nidoking, it was relatively unharmed.
Dragon Rush was strong, but unfortunately, it still failed to break Nidoking's Protect.
If Kenji's internal monologue were known to Tyson Tang, the Gym Leader would surely be screaming in disbelief.

Just as Arbok's attack was about to land, Nidoking finally moved. Its body tensed, and a faint white light emanated from it.
Kenji was momentarily stunned, caught off guard by this Counter from Nidoking.
Arbok couldn't stop. Its Breaking Swipe slammed heavily onto Nidoking's body.
Nidoking cried out in pain, staggering backward.
Arbok, too, cried out in pain and was flung backward, landing hard on the ground.
Although Counter reflects double the damage, Arbok's Bloodthirster recovered a portion of the damage, allowing it to survive.
"Ice Beam!!"
Nidoking opened its mouth, and a chilling white beam of condensed cold energy shot out.
"Dodge! Use Aqua Tail!! Watch out for Counter!!"
Arbok twisted its body, easily dodging Nidoking's Ice Beam, and charged toward it.
"Ice Punch!!—"
Frost instantly covered Nidoking's fist as it swung toward Arbok's oncoming tail.
"RUMBLE!!—"
The two attacks collided. A look of pain crossed Nidoking's face, and its momentum immediately weakened.
The 4x super-effective Aqua Tail combined with four Dragon Dances was too much. Despite the 24-level gap, the single blow left Nidoking heavily injured.
Arbok, protected by its Dragon-typing, was still hurt by the Ice Punch.
Tyson Tang keenly noticed the pained look on Arbok's face, and a strange thought arose in his mind.
"Nidoking!! Use Max Blizzard!!"
"NIDO!!—"
Nidoking roared. Immediately, the light in the arena dimmed. The temperature dropped as a fierce snowstorm was whipped up, surging toward Arbok from all sides.
"Use Max Power Dragon Rush!—"
"CHAAA!!!—"
At Kenji's command, Arbok was once again covered in a black draconic shadow as it charged Nidoking!
Braving the bone-chilling cold of the blizzard, Arbok became a black shadow speeding through the white snow. Accompanied by a deafening dragon roar, it hurtled toward Nidoking.
"NIDO!!—"
Nidoking swept its hands toward Arbok's position. The turbulent snow and ice gathered, forming a shield that met Arbok's charge.
In the blink of an eye, Arbok's dark figure dove into the heart of the blizzard and vanished.
"PFFFT..."
A few seconds later, a black shadow tore through the violently surging snow, crashing into Nidoking with undiminished force.
"ROAR!!!—"
"NIDO!!!—"
The dragon roar exploded. Nidoking was hit and fell backward in agony.
"CHAAA!!!—" Arbok hissed toward the sky.
"Nidoking is unable to battle! Arbok wins the match!!"
"Ding! LV45 Arbok successfully defeated LV.69 Nidoking! Received 34,000 Gold!!"
"Ding! Spoils of War triggered! Congratulations, Host, for receiving an additional reward: Mythic Item Forger!!"
Kenji was stunned. A Mythic Item Forger? Spoils of War was still working its magic!!
"I thought that Beedrill was your ace. But now, it seems this Arbok is your true trump card," Tyson Tang said, recalling Nidoking with a sigh of emotion.
Kenji heard this and shook his head. "You are mistaken."
Tyson Tang froze. What does he mean? This Arbok isn't his true trump card? Does this kid have something even stronger?!
