Adam stood in the dimly lit sitting room, his fatigue momentarily forgotten as he stared at Noah in genuine surprise.
He was well aware that Noah was a dedicated foodie who prioritized his meals above almost anything else.
The fact that the younger man had completely skipped dinner just to wait for his return was a realization that hit Adam with unexpected force.
"I had no idea you were planning to wait up for me," Adam said, his voice softening.
"But you can't possibly eat that food now. It has been sitting out for hours. Do you want me to go and wake Mrs. Damson? I can have her prepare a fresh dish for you right now."
Noah quickly shook his head, looking horrified at the suggestion. "No, you absolutely cannot do that. It is four in the morning, Adam. Let the poor woman sleep. Besides, the food is covered, and it doesn't spoil that quickly. I can just put it in the microwave and heat it up."
Adam's face immediately contorted into an expression of pure disgust.
