The heavy silence in the meeting room was finally broken by the collective nodding of every official present at the table.
Adam's plan was decisive, and despite the logistical nightmare it presented, no one could deny that it was the only logical way to flush Kai out of his hiding place. Adam turned his chair toward the Attorney General, his eyes hard and unyielding.
"Draft the emergency warrants immediately," Adam commanded. "I want every legal barrier removed. We cannot afford to let procedural red tape give Kai more time to bury his tracks or slip across the border."
The Attorney General adjusted his glasses and nodded quickly. "Yes, Mr. President. I will have the documents ready for your signature within the hour."
Adam leaned back, tapping his fingers against the mahogany surface as he mentally reviewed the chess board of the nation's security.
