"Asa-kun, did you feel the table shaking just now?" Yukino held Asa's hand as they walked out of the library. Just now, for some reason, she kept feeling the table tremble intermittently while she was reading.
"I don't think so…" Hearing Asa's reply, Yukino started to doubt herself again. Only she and Asa were at that table. Logically, it shouldn't have been vibrating violently.
"Am I too tired lately?" Yukino rubbed her temples, wondering.
"Yukino-nee, why don't we just go back to the Service Club and rest for a bit."
"…" Yukino took Asa to the self-checkout to pay for Koisuru Metronome before heading toward Shuchi'in Academy.
....
At this moment, inside the women's restroom of the library, the Bunny Girl, Mai Sakurajima, weakly leaned against the stall door, her cherry lips parted, letting out faint breaths of warm air.
"To be so easily defeated by a little shota…" Mai's face was crimson, and her body and mind still felt the lingering arousal. Recalling the scene just now, she felt it was utterly absurd. She had been playing around with his younger brother right in front of his sister, and yet she was the one who was left spent!
For some unknown reason, whenever she stood near that little shota, she couldn't suppress the urge to touch him. After making contact, it created an overwhelming pleasure that she gradually became addicted to.
This made Mai, who considered herself quite mature, feel incredibly embarrassed. She never imagined she would act that way toward a little shota, much less enjoy it.
"Am I a closet shotacon…?" Mai was momentarily silent.
"It seems like he's the only person who can see me in the entire place…" At least, this was good news. Since last week, she had suddenly realized that people couldn't see her. At first, it was only a small area. But now, more and more people couldn't see her. If it kept spreading at this rate, she was afraid she would one day vanish from everyone's eyes! To be forgotten by the world!
The appearance of Asa today was a recent comfort. And in a strange, inexplicable way, he had relieved her recent stress.
"I think he was called Asa-kun…" Mai clearly remembered the name the stunning girl next to him had used for the little shota. She also had a vague impression of the beautiful girl referred to as Yukino-nee.
"Could it be Yukino from the second year of high school?" Mai wasn't entirely sure.
"But they're both wearing the Shuchi'in Academy uniform… It should be easy to find them…"
Mai changed into her Shuchi'in Academy uniform in the restroom. She folded the Bunny Girl outfit. The slight dampness she felt when touching the fabric made Mai's face flush, and the previous scene subconsciously replayed in her mind.
"Phew… I need to wash this thoroughly when I get back."
After putting the Bunny Girl outfit into a bag, Mai left the library. The people passing by still acted as if she wasn't there, but the look in Mai's eyes was no longer lost. She looked in the direction of Shuchi'in Academy, and as Asa's figure appeared in her mind, her body and mind trembled slightly. She had a strange premonition that the little shota might be able to help her escape her current predicament.
It definitely wasn't because she was humiliated as an older sister and wanted to teach that little shota a lesson that she wanted to see him.
No, definitely not!
Carrying the Bunny Girl outfit, which was slightly heavier than usual, she walked toward the apartment she rented in Ryukin Apartment.
Asa held Yukino's hand, and the two walked toward Shuchi'in Academy. Passing by a coffee shop, Asa suddenly stopped.
"Oh… that's Ai-nee and Auntie Kyoko!" Through the coffee shop's transparent glass, Asa clearly saw Hoshino Ai and Saito Kyoko sitting in a booth. Opposite them sat a beautiful young woman with graceful composure and an exquisite appearance.
However, what interested Asa more was the name of the coffee shop.
"Anteiku…" Asa's expression briefly stiffened when he saw the shop's name. He immediately remembered Rize Kamishiro, on whom he had written the 'righteous' mark at the STARRY studio earlier. In the days following, Rize Kamishiro had never gone near the STARRY studio again, so Asa hadn't bothered to find her.
Asa's mind stirred. He immediately sensed Rize's status and location. She was right inside the Anteiku, apparently in a state of boredom?
Asa glanced over the three women inside—Ai and the others. He originally didn't want to interrupt, but since they had unknowingly entered the Anteiku, they were at risk of being targeted by Ghouls. He had no choice but to go in.
"This is a good opportunity to find some fun for Rize." Asa thought to himself, turning his head to look up at Yukino. Before he could speak, he saw an elusive hint of apprehension hidden beneath her calm demeanor.
"Are you coming home tonight?"
Her slightly resentful tone was almost like a wife speaking to a husband who hadn't 'paid his dues' in a long time.
Asa was caught off guard, not expecting Yukino to be ready before he even spoke. Little did he know that Yukino had already spotted Ai in the café when he looked at her with such focused eyes. Yukino's heart immediately tightened. Ai was, after all, the sister who had grown up with Asa in the orphanage and accompanied him since childhood. Their bond was deep.
She knew very well that with Asa's obedient nature, he would definitely listen to her if she asked him to stop. But if she did that, there would be a chasm between her and Asa-kun that could never be crossed again. This was something she absolutely wanted to avoid!
As for going with Asa-kun, that wouldn't be a very magnanimous choice. Therefore, she had to be a mature and trusting oneesan. She would let Asa-kun go; he was so well-behaved, he would definitely be mindful of boundaries. At the very least… he would come home on time.
Yukino quickly composed herself. She stated her minimum requirement to Asa.
"Are you coming home tonight?"
"Of course I am. Without Yukino-nee holding me to sleep, I almost feel like I have insomnia!. The little shota's confident words melted Yukino's cool eyes, which now held a ripple of gratification.
She had made the right choice! Asa-kun really cared about her as his sister! He couldn't even sleep without her embrace… A girl in love can hardly discern the truthfulness of what the other person is saying. Even a genius girl with meticulous logical thinking is no exception!
Yukino suppressed the flutter in her heart and continued, "Do you want me to pick you up later?"
"You don't have to trouble Yukino-nee. I'll just have Auntie Kyoko drop me off later." Yukino's eyes flickered slightly when she heard this, then she nodded.
"Alright, be careful, and don't wander off."
"Mhm, I know, Yukino-nee."
Then, Yukino watched Asa walk into the coffee shop. Only after he walked all the way to Ai and sat down next to her did she finally feel relieved and leave.
"Asa-kun, what are you doing here?" Ai was overjoyed by Asa's sudden appearance and immediately pulled him into her arms for a rub.
"I saw Ai-neechan and Auntie Kyoko outside, so I came in," Asa answered truthfully, his gaze shifting to Kyoko.
The latter met Asa's clear, innocent eyes and immediately felt a slight panic. Kyoko found that whenever Asa was near, her body and mind always had a strange reaction. She subtly tucked the strands of hair near her face behind her ear, and her long legs, wrapped in black stockings beneath her suit skirt, crossed and tightened even more.
"This is Ai-chan's younger brother, Asa," she said to the beautiful young woman opposite her with a faint smile.
Ai, sitting next to them, leaned close to Asa's ear, her sweet breath hitting his earlobe as she softly explained, "This is Mrs. Sakurajima. She's a famous manager in the entertainment industry. She wants to cooperate with Kyoko-nee's agency recently."
"Mrs. Sakurajima?" A hint of surprise flashed in Asa's eyes. The image of Mai Sakurajima with her purplish, hazy-eyed face appeared in his mind. The beautiful young woman with dark gray hair in front of him did bear some resemblance. Hmm, she would look even more similar if she made the same expression Mai did in the library!
There was no helping it; ever since Asa saw Mai's face, the blush on it hadn't faded!
"You must be Mai-nee's mother!" The little shota's sudden statement slightly startled all three women present.
"You know Mai?" Mrs. Sakurajima looked at the excessively handsome little shota in surprise, her tone even becoming a little excited.
Of course I know her! If the occasion weren't so inappropriate, we would have almost formed a deep 'bond' half an hour ago!
"I saw her in a magazine before. She's… a very amazing oneesan!"
"It's a shame she doesn't seem to be doing any entertainment activities now…" Asa's slightly regretful words fell on Mrs. Sakurajima's ears. Her red lips parted slightly, but she was speechless.
She remembered the past, how she signed Mai up for a swimsuit photoshoot without telling her. She never expected that the girl would rather tear up the contract and pay the penalty than do the shoot. And since then, Mai announced her retirement from the entertainment industry and became very distant from her mother. Mrs. Sakurajima regretted that incident to this day.
"Did something happen between Auntie Sakurajima and Mai-nee?"
"If you just talk it out properly, I'm sure everything will be fine."
The little shota's voice warmed Mrs. Sakurajima's heart. For some reason, she felt extremely fond of the little shota in front of her. Every time she spoke with him, she felt a subtle comfort in her body and mind, giving her an overwhelming urge to… pull him into her arms. Otherwise, if anyone else dared to discuss her and her daughter's family affairs, she would have walked away with a cold face.
"Asa-kun is so cute."
"If you ever get the chance to meet Mai, I'm sure she'll really like you." Mrs. Sakurajima poked the little shota's cheek, and her usually cool and serious face softened considerably.
Kyoko was slightly surprised at this. During their conversation just now, Mrs. Sakurajima's attitude wasn't hostile, but she hadn't smiled much either. She hadn't expected Asa's arrival to have such an effect. While Kyoko was pleased, a hint of sour jealousy rose in her heart as she stared at the fair hands of Mrs. Sakurajima that were squeezing Asa's cheek.
"Alright, Mrs. Sakurajima, let's get back to discussing the partnership details."
"…"
While the women talked business, Asa quietly assessed the situation inside the Anteiku. There were only two female employees, whom he recalled were Touka Kirishima and Kaya Irimi.
The shop didn't have many customers. Besides their table, there were only four other tables, with about a few people total. Rize was among them, sitting with her back to them, seemingly bored while sipping a cup of coffee.
Furthermore, Asa noticed that the gazes of three people at one of the tables kept passing over Ai's group. He could detect a scent on them that was different from that of humans.
"So they have been targeted by Ghouls after all…" Asa sighed internally.
Asa's eyes turned to the tall, elegant, purple-haired figure. Since there was an available fighter nearby, he might as well put her to work.
"Ai-nee, I see an oneesan I know," Asa said, jumping out of Ai's arms. He ran straight toward Rize Kamishiro.
The Ghouls in the café all noticed the extremely handsome little shota's actions and were stunned.
"Is that kid actively seeking out the Binge Eater to die?"
"Rize-nee, long time no see!" The little shota rushed from behind Rize and threw himself onto her lap.
Rize's delicate body suddenly trembled. She stood up in shock, staring at the little shota clinging to her leg. A feeling of déjà vu rushed through her body and mind again.
"This woman has friends she knows?" The surrounding Ghouls looked at Rize and the little shota clinging to her leg as if they had seen a ghost. Only the girl with blue-purple hair looked at Rize Kamishiro with some confusion.
"Are you alright?" She noticed that Rize's face had suddenly turned a faint crimson, and her steps seemed to have become wobbly.
