Chapter 9 - Piggyback Ride 2.0

"What grade is Asa-kun in right now?"

"Elementary School, first grade!"

Hearing the shota's still slightly high-pitched, childlike voice, Mrs. Yotsuya grew even more silent. Her delicate fingers, resting on her ample thigh, nervously intertwined, and her eyes filled with worry.

While Asa's appearance was certainly so excellent that she, a mature woman, had the urge to hug him the moment she saw him...

But!

First grade... Even if she agreed to this, the law certainly wouldn't!

'You can do this, Touko!'

'Uphold your responsibilities as a mother!'

'I must set Miko straight!' Mrs. Yotsuya secretly cheered herself on.

She sliced a fruit platter for them and subtly began probing into the relationship between Asa and Miko.

She gathered a few fragmented and brief pieces of information:

A classmate's brother...

Met for the first time in the restroom...

Only knew each other for one day...

Based on this information, Mrs. Yotsuya's heart gradually sank. She began to wonder if she had neglected Miko for too long. How could her daughter... appear to be turning into a shota-con pervert?

Mrs. Yotsuya's beautiful face was lined with worry.

Soon after, and under Mrs. Yotsuya's suspicious gaze, Miko pulled Asa into her room.

"My mother is acting weird today, I don't know why," Miko said to Asa, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I think she's great." Asa smiled.

From what he'd gathered, the situation in the Yotsuya household also differed from the original source. Miko's younger brother from the original manga did not exist in this world, having passed away in a disaster many years ago. Given that this was a chaotic crossover world with monsters, it wasn't surprising.

"Asa-kun, there are two evil spirits in my room. One is in the drawer, and one is in the bedclothes."

Asa nodded. Without wasting time, he got straight to the task, which was, after all, why he was here. Without waiting for the two evil spirits to grow frantic, Asa quickly dispatched them.

Miko, standing by, felt a strange sensation watching Asa lift her covers. Though she knew he was exorcising, this was the first time a boy had ever been in her bedroom, let alone lifted her comforter...

Miko's cheeks flushed, and she quickly covered the blanket back up.

"All that's left is the one in the bathroom," she said, quickly pulling Asa out of the room and heading to the restroom.

She failed to notice Mrs. Yotsuya, who was standing in the living room with wide eyes.

"Miko... when did she get so bold?"

"She's not even trying to hide it from me, her mother?"

Mrs. Yotsuya's expression shifted, and her hands clenched tightly.

"Maybe I'm overthinking things..." she consoled herself.

She tiptoed to the restroom door. Pressing her ear against it, she could vaguely hear voices inside.

"...It's a little too high."

"...Then you ride on me instead."

"...Mph."

"So, so amazing. As expected of Asa-kun..."

The words coming from inside grew increasingly suggestive. The content made Mrs. Yotsuya subconsciously squeeze her thighs together, yet her expression was one of profound distress.

"Miko is actually doing this..."

Mrs. Yotsuya felt she couldn't wait any longer. As a mature adult, she had to properly educate them!

Click!

She took a deep breath and decisively pushed the door open.

"Miko, you are truly disappointing me..."

The stern words died on Mrs. Yotsuya's lips as she suddenly froze. She stared at the little shota sitting on Miko's neck, her mind crashing.

Are young people playing this rough now? Is that position even possible?

No... The situation didn't seem to be what she had imagined?

"Mom, you scared me! What are you doing?" Startled, Miko turned around, complaining to her mother, who was still standing there dumbfounded.

"Why are you so strange today, Mom? Are you possessed by an evil spirit?"

Miko's heart jumped, and her foot slipped. With the little shota still riding on her neck, she instantly lost her balance.

"Look out!"

Mrs. Yotsuya immediately snapped back to reality, rushing forward in panic. She used herself as a human cushion to catch the two of them.

Thud!

The three of them tumbled to the restroom floor with a not-too-hard-but-not-too-soft impact. Asa was naturally the best protected, buried almost entirely in soft places. He reached out to prop himself up to get off, only to hear two delicate moans with different degrees of charm simultaneously.

A few minutes later, Asa used a tissue to wipe the water from his hands. It was normal for the restroom floor to be wet, and he had just knocked over the water basin beside him. Asa's lower half was soaked.

Mrs. Yotsuya, feeling terribly apologetic, found a set of clothes from Miko's younger brother and insisted he take a bath at their house.

In the living room, mother and daughter sat across from each other. Both their charming faces, one pure and the other mature, retained a faint blush. The air grew silent.

After a long pause, Mrs. Yotsuya finally broke the awkward atmosphere.

"Have Asa-kun stay for dinner."

"I understand, Mom."

Both tacitly agreed not to mention what had just happened.

"I'm finished bathing."

Seeing Asa emerge from the bathroom, both Miko and Mrs. Yotsuya turned to look. A fleeting moment of astonishment passed through their eyes, and a single phrase flashed through their minds simultaneously.

A lotus emerging from the water!

Miko realized that this phrase, often used to describe a woman's beauty, was perfectly apt for the little shota before her. Imperceptibly, Miko noticed her heart starting to beat faster again.

"He's only a little shota..." Miko felt an inexplicable sense of "I was born when you were not, and you were born when I was old..."

"I'm going to take a bath too!" In a panic, Miko rushed into the restroom.

Mrs. Yotsuya went to prepare dinner.

When Miko returned to her room after her bath, she found Asa looking at her thoughtfully.

"D-do I have something on my face?" Miko's cheeks flushed, and she avoided meeting Asa's eyes.

"No. I just wanted to tell you, Miko-neesan, that with your constitution, you'll definitely attract more evil spirits in the future." Asa said softly.

In the original story, Miko seemed to have a constitution that attracted evil spirits, encountering rare spirits no matter where she went.

Miko's face immediately fell. She had also realized this fact. But what could she do? She didn't have the ability to exorcise!

"Miko-neesan, do you know what an Incubus is?" Asa suddenly changed the subject.

"I think I saw it when I was searching for ways to deal with evil spirits online a few days ago..."

"It seems to be a nearly extinct species?" Miko recalled, surprised.

"Incubi have a special ability. If they bond intimately with a human, it seems they can enable the human to master some special abilities..."

Asa gazed at Miko, his eyes flashing with a sharp light.
