Departing Korriban was accomplished without any sort of fanfare. No ceremonies, no farewells, no 'good lucks', none of the things that would have been expected from a graduation back in the 'real' world. Which, in hindsight, wasn't all that surprising at all. I mean, what did I expect? That the Sith would care much about the pomp and circumstance of a former slave's departure? Parades and praise were for those that earned them from the Empire as a whole, not something like this.

Not that I minded terribly. In fact, and in all honesty, I was happy to simply move on and get to the Fleet. I wanted to get to Dromuund Kaas as quickly as possible and reunited with my Nicky and my Kela, not to mention introduce them to my Kory. And my Yashia, once she caught up. Apparently, she wasn't allowed to take the same shuttle I was, and would be an hour or two behind me. Annoying, but not worthy of complaint.

The only thing that made me anxious would be leaving Vette and Lana behind, but hopefully both would come through whatever lay ahead of them in one piece. I had every faith that Lana would pass her trials, whatever they were, and I had no doubt that Vette wouldn't be killed until her new Master reached Dromuund Kaas, at least. Which meant, if they proved to be a problem, I could kill them as well. Sure, that might bring more problems in the long term, but if it meant protecting my Vette, I would do it happily.

"So," Kallig mused, sounding rather pleased as he manifested beside me, the lack of reaction from my Kory -who's head was currently bobbing up and down on my shaft, taking advantage of the fact that were currently alone in the shuttle's hold- telling me that he had made sure his presence was cloaked from everyone but myself. "You have managed to survive, even thrive, on Korriban. And now you are apprentice to a woman with ill intentions, hunted already by a Darth that loathes her, and doubtlessly by another Darth whom you have deprived of a useful tool."

Yes, but there was really no avoiding it. Baras' tool would have tried to kill me regardless, after all, as would Skotia. I responded silently, running my fingers through Kory's hair as she gagged slightly around my length, the gesture comforting and demanding in equal measure, and she settled smoothly back into her efforts a moment later with nary a further cough to be heard. Besides, those who foresee their own doom can better avoid it, and those that see the dooms of others can ensure them. I am to do both.

"Hmm, a pretty enough turn of phrase. We'll see what comes of it. For now, I can sense anticipation from the pilot of this craft. Finish playing with your toy, I believe that your next destination approaches." he responded, now amused, as his form broke apart once again. Moments later, I felt the lurch of the shuttle dropping out of hyperspace, and the pilot's voice crackled over the intercom to inform me that the shuttle would be landing in five minutes. Which was surprisingly quick, given that this was a major fleet anchorage, but then again it made some sense that shuttles inbound from Korriban would have a different priority than others.

"Finish up, my Kory, or you'll have to wait until we're on our way to Dromuund Kaas." I encouraged the girl between my legs, weaving the fingers of both hands into her locks and using my new-found grip to move her head along my shaft faster and deeper than before. Not that Kory needed much in the way of encouragement, as she braced herself against my legs and sucked as hard as she could, humming softly.

The vibrations from her throat sent shivers up my spine, and I let out a pleased groan as my release approached. With a final thrust, I emptied myself into her eager mouth, watching with satisfaction as she swallowed every drop without hesitation. Such a good girl, my Kory. And so well-trained now, too, after the last few months. Of course, it helped that she had been as eager to learn as I had been to teach her.

"Good girl," I praised aloud, stroking her cheek as she looked up at me with pride at my approval and lust for more. "Now clean me up and make yourself presentable. You'll have to wait for a bit before I can give you a reward."

She nodded eagerly, not even pouting despite the delay to her promised pleasure, before cleaning my shaft and sensitive head with a few swipes of her tongue and tucking me back into my pants. She barely had time to return to her own seat before we were setting down smoothly on the deck of one of Vaiken Spacedock's many hangers. The hatch hissed open, the ramp lowering to the ground, and I let my plaything out into the harsh fluorescent white lighting of the heart of the Imperial Fleet.

"Apprentice." the fresh-faced and young Imperial officer waiting at the bottom, an Ensign if I recalled my rank tabs correctly, clicked his heels together and bowed slightly as we came to a stop -blinking slightly- in front of him. "My name is Ensign Velt. Welcome to Vaiken."

"Thank you, Ensign. I was told that there would be supplies and credits waiting for me upon my arrival?" I responded, nodding in acknowledgement, and he nodded back.

"Correct, Apprentice, though I don't have them personally. Instead, if you would take this," he responded, handing over a small datachip. "and proceed to the Market and Supply section of the station, on the main level, and find the Fleet Quartermaster's office, providing them with this chip will have them hand those supplies and credits over to you. You'll just want to take the elevator there," he tilted his heard towards the large double-paneled door at the far end of the hanger. "and then follow the green pathing to your destination."

"Oh? Seems simple enough. Thank you, Ensign. Carry on." I said, inclining my head slightly as I handed the chip off to Kory and turned away as he murmured farewell. Poor kid was probably low man on the totem pole, if his job was standing her and greeting people as they got off of the shuttle. That, or he was a good, steady sort of kid that had proven himself to his superiors and was being rewarded with an important task. Hard to tell with the Sith. They could be rewarding him or trying to get him killed, and quite possibly both at the same time.

The elevator was predictably crowded with various Imperial personnel moving from one floor to another, from junior officers to senior technicians to enlisted men, all carefully avoiding eye contact with me once they noticed the lightsaber at my belt. The conversations that had been taking place when we entered died to whispers, then silence, creating a bubble of quiet around Kory and myself that was both awkward and amusing as we ascended towards the main level.

The doors opened, and we stepped into what I could only describe as organized chaos. Men and women of many races and ranks were scurrying back and forth, some cutting a path through the crowd with confidence while others kept their heads down and tried their hardest to remain unnoticed. Amusingly, the middle area of the Spacedock was still the massive cantina it had been in the game, and I could even see the VIP area above. Hmm, I wondered if I could gain access to that?

"Mistress, the path." Kory whispered beside me, her voice barely audible over the ambient noise of the station, pointing without pointing, and I followed her not-directions to find the route that Velt had been talking about. Murmuring a brief phrase of praise, I started to follow it away from the main crush to the outer ring of the station.

The Fleet Quartermaster's office, when I walked into it, proved to be exactly what I'd expected from Imperial efficiency: sterile, organized, full of shelves and racks, and staffed by someone who looked like they'd been born behind a desk. The woman who greeted us wore the uniform of a senior petty officer, her graying hair pulled back in a regulation bun that looked like it hadn't moved in decades. As a matter of fact, I wasn't entirely sure she had moved from that spot in decades. She could have been fused to the chair, for all the movement she made when I stepped up to the desk.

"Apprentice." she said without looking up from her terminal, extending one hand palm-up in expectation. "Chip."

Kory silently placed the datachip in the woman's outstretched palm, frowning faintly at the lack of respect being displayed compared to what she thought I was owed, but wise enough not to speak without leave or without a significant issue to raise. The quartermaster slotted it into her terminal, her eyes scanning whatever appeared on her screen with practiced disinterest, and I could tell even with only a look that it was exactly what she expected it to be. Tradition, more likely than not, I guess, and her next words proved it.

"Standard initial apprentice allocation." she announced, still not bothering to make eye contact or even look in my general connection. "Five thousand credits, basic survival kit, emergency rations for two weeks, portable medkit, holocomm, pocket comm, basic armored robes, basic utility and storage equipment."

As she spoke, a quartet of mono-wheeled, multi-armed droids whirred out from amidst the storage with a collection of materials, which were laid out one by one on the table as she named them, followed by a datapad and stylus being slapped down in front of me.

"Sign here."

I signed and was promptly shoed away, given only enough time to collect my new property before the next poor sod replaced me. I shook my head and left, looking for a convenient alcove to work in.

With Kory's help, I quickly organized the supplies into a more manageable arrangement than I had received them in. Most went into the utility pack, which was surprisingly spacious for its size. Imperial engineering at its finest, I supposed, efficient and functional without any care for aesthetics. The credits were transferred to my personal account with a few taps on the datapad, and I clipped the holocomm to my belt opposite my lightsaber.

"What now, mistress?" Kory asked, her voice low as we stepped away from the quartermaster's office and back into the flow of station traffic.

"Now, we find transportation to Dromund Kaas, preferably more spacious than a damn shuttle." I replied, making a point of studying the station map displayed on a nearby terminal. "But first, I think a proper meal might be in order. Back to the cantina, plaything."

"Yes, mistress." Kory replied with a small smile and a pulse of affection, falling into step behind me as we navigated through the crowded corridors back the way that we had come.

The cantina was even more packed than the main concourse, perhaps unsurprisingly, filled with Imperial officers unwinding between assignments, merchants looking to make deals, and the occasional Sith like myself seeking refreshment and entertainment. Looking around, well aware that I didn't have anywhere enough rank, reputation, or pull to get us private seating, I searched for a seat that we could make use of. One that either has few people present, or had people that looked like they wouldn't cause us any trouble.

Which is about the time I spotted Mako.

The first Bounty Hunter companion.

And who I would have assumed was the Bounty Hunter in question, if it wasn't for the fact that she screamed spook to my instincts, a devastatingly beautiful female Chiss about my own age, perhaps even a bit younger.

Who was now glancing up to meet my eyes and arching a perfect raven eyebrow with a faint smile.

The choice of what to do next was hardly a choice at all.

I made my way across the cantina, weaving between tables and ignoring the various conversations that stuttered slightly as I passed by, Kory dutifully on my heels. Even in the heart of the Imperial Fleet, the presence of a Sith got a reaction. Or maybe it was due to my looks. That was also a distinct possibility.

"Ladies," I said, offering a slight bow that was respectful without being subservient, hoping I didn't seem too eager. "I couldn't help but notice fellow travelers, on their way to Dromuund Kaas as likely as not. Mind if we join you?"

The Chiss woman's smile widened fractionally, and she gestured to the empty chairs at their table with an elegance that seemed almost precise. "By all means, Apprentice. My name is Sev'risk'aklaio, but I know human tongues struggle with Chiss names. You may use my core name, Vriska."

"Mako, pleasure to meet you." the slicer smiled, blushing faintly as I met her eyes, and I gestured to myself and Kory as we sat down.

"Vestara Khai, apprentice to Lord Zash of the Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge, and my companion, Kory." I introduced us both in turn, and Vriska arched an eyebrow again.

"Companion? I know a slave when I meet one, Vestara Khai, so I wonder at your choice of words." she remarked mildly, and I grimaced faintly as Mako immediately went from smiling to frowning, though at least the blush remained. Fortunately for me, Kory leapt to my defense before I had to say a word.

"I am her slave, yes, and her plaything." she declared bluntly and proudly, narrowing her eyes at the Chiss and bristling in a way that made her seem adorably fierce, like a small dog. "But I am also her companion, her confidant, and her student. I chose this path willingly when she saved my life on Korriban."

"Interesting," Vriska replied, her red eyes studying Kory with newfound appreciation, and what I thought was a hint of amusement. "Most slaves lack such...conviction, and such fondness for the person holding their leash."

Mako's frown softened slightly, though it didn't vanish, and her tone was tentative as she spoke. "So you don't... you know... mistreat her?"

"Only when she asks for it, and trust me when I say that she enjoys it as much as I do. If not more." I said, with a chuckle in accompaniment that could only be called perverse.

That earned me a deeper blush from Mako and an amused smirk from Vriska, while Kory smirked and made a sound of sultry agreement, and I couldn't help but join them in smirking as I felt the pulses of arousal coming from all three of them.

"So, how did the two of you meet?" Kory asked for me, her genuine curiosity making a perfect, and inadvertent, shield against undue scrutiny.

"Well, I was originally part of a team working to support someone for the Great Hunt. You know, the galaxy-wide bounty hunter competition?" Mako responded, giving me a curious look, and I nodded in confirmation, well aware of what she was talking about for fairly obvious reasons. "My…the rest of my team was killed, murdered, by one of the competitors, trying to get rid any competition early. Cheating fucking coward named Tarro Blood. Anyway, without Br…without the old man to watch my back, the hunter decided revenge was stupid and that he got to keep me anyway."

"To which Mako objected, I happened across the situation when he was trying to force the point, and he proved…unwilling to be persuaded to leave." Vriska finished the story, her word choice and tone alike making it clear that he hadn't lived long past that moment. All the better, in my opinion, but it also meant that Vriska was, in fact, the Agent I had suspected she was. Which made me wonder where Kaliyo was, not that I dared to ask just yet. "So, now we're going to Dromuund Kaas, as you assumed. And of course you and your companion are going to meet your master once again, yes?"

"That's right." I confirmed, taking a moment to order drinks for Kory and myself when a server droid hovered nearby. "I've just completed my trials on Korriban and now I'm headed back to the capital to rendezvous with Lord Zash and begin my apprenticeship in earnest."

"Congratulations on surviving," Vriska said, her tone suggesting she knew exactly how difficult that feat was, though that wouldn't exactly be hard. Most of the Empire knew how many died on Korriban after all. Case in point, whats-his-face on Hutta, the guy that wanted you to lie to his wife to prevent his son from being sent to the holy world. "Korriban has a way of... reducing the student population rather dramatically."

"You've been there?" I asked, genuinely curious, and quite frankly prying for information was something I needed to do whenever I could get away with it.

"No, not personally, but let's just say I'm familiar with Imperial training methods, hmm?" she replied with a smile so benign and guileless that it only confirmed my suspicions about her identity and role. On the one hand that was good, and the fact that she was gorgeous was even better. On the other hand, now I had to figure out how to keep her from being betrayed and used as a meat puppet by the Star Cabal. "So, you said you're going back to Dromuund Kaas? That's where you're from, originally? I thought I detected a hint of an accent."

"Born and raised, yes. I have a…well, a family by choice, waiting for me." I tilted my head in my Kory's direction. "I'll be staying with them, and leaving Kory safely in their embrace, while I'm on-planet."

Mako's expression softened at that. "Must be nice, having people waiting for you. A family."

"It is, yes. " I agreed, noticing the wistfulness in her voice. Poor girl had lost her mentor and found herself adrift with only a stranger as her friend and protector, and I was hardly in the position to comfort her just yet either. "So, are you two looking for transport as well? The shuttles are functional but hardly comfortable, so I was considering looking for different options."

"Mako and I came to the same conclusion. The transport ship Black Talon leaves in three hours, if you and Kory would like to join us? They're accepting passengers, and I've no doubt they'll be glad to accept a member of the Sith Order as one of them." Vriska agreed and proposed in the same breath, and I didn't even bother try to restrain the grin that spread across my face as I agreed to the suggestions.

First flashpoint, get!

############################################################

"Sooo, how'd you end up as Baras' new apprentice? You only just got here, right? Seems like he's moving kind of fast this time around." Vette chirped as she primed a thermal detonator and lobbed it around a corner, shouts and screams from the brigands within resounding in the heartbeats before the world shook slightly, fire and smoke and the scent of roasted flesh and burned blood stained the air.

"You're a very strange slave." Lana muttered, shaking her head in response, before snorting and smiling faintly. "Then again, if you're familiar and friendly with Vestara, perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised. You must explain to me how it is that that happened."

"I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours~!" the crimson-skinned twi'lek offered, and Lana briefly -very briefly- considered forcing the slave to obey her, before sighing mentally and physically alike and giving up on the idea. Vette might be her slave, but Lana by nature was not a cruel person, and she hardly wanted to give Vestara a reason to loathe her when next they met. Which hurting or being excessively caustic with Vette most certainly would do.

"Very well. He was inspecting the new arrivals in the Force when he sensed my presence. It seemed I impressed him somehow, or at least caught his attention, so he decided to give me a chance to prove myself to him with a series of tests and questions." Lana explained, gesturing slightly with her right hand as she talked, causing a thermal detonator thrown by another band of looters to reverse course, detonating at the feet of it's surprised and horrified thrower.

"Huh. Seems kinda suspicious that the one person he picks out of the crowd is the girl whose friends with the person who killed his last apprentice." Vette remarked thoughtfully, as they made their way down another hallway, and Lana stopped in her tracks and stared as Vette kept talking. "Anyway, I met Ves when Baras' old apprentice tried to molest another prisoner. Ves put a stop to it, showed off that big cock and those scars of hers, then went off for more trials. Left her pet Kory with us, and let me tell you…"

"What?!" the word came from Lana's lung almost explosively, and Vette looked back at her in surprise, not having realized she stopped, before shrugging and smiling.

"Oh yeah, maybe you didn't know, but Ves has a huge cock. It would probably split me in half and leave me in bed for a week if she used it on me, but it would be totally worth it." she confirmed, a distinctly lewd expression on her face, and Lana blushed faintly as she absently recalled the outline of that cock in Vestara's pants, all that time ago on Dromuund Kaas…and how small Nicky's hand was compared to it. "As for Kory, total sweetheart, but a total perv. She spent hours tell me and the other girl, the prisoner I mentioned earlier, about all the stuff she and Ves get up to. Did you know, Vestara can do this thing with her tongue where…"

"No, stop, not that! That's not what I was asking about." Lana waved her hands in front of herself, before pausing and confessing at Vette's arched eyebrow of amused doubt. "Well, not right now, anyway. You said that Vestara killed Baras' last apprentice?"

"Well, his last two, technically? Actually, they weren't actually his apprentices yet, still just acolytes. Guess they weren't as special as you, huh?" came the response, accompanied by a flash of white teeth behind dark-painted lips. "But yeah. Vemrin, a slave acolyte like Ves and, uh, huh. Whatever his name was, the noble asshole, were fighting to the death and everything. Ves showed up and ended up killing both of 'em. Then we found that big bastard with the bigger teeth of hers, killed a terentatek, and then you came along!"

"I have…a lot of questions about all of that." Lana sighed, rubbing her forehead in mild amusement and exasperation at the girl's attitude and behavior. Small wonder that she and Vestara got along so well, if she was this casual with authority. Speaking of which… "We'll discuss it more in my rooms when we return to the Academy tonight, but right now I want to know why you're so casual and comfortable with me. Don't you understand the position I'm in, the position you're in?"

"Well, sure, but Ves wouldn't like you so much if you weren't like her, and she likes you a lot. As soon as she sensed you getting off that shuttle, she started talking about you." Vette shrugged with a smile, one that widened as she continued, eyeing Lana's faint blush with glee. "I think sweet little Kory was getting jealous about it all, really. It was adorable watching her pout like that."

Lana felt heat creep up her neck at the implication, her mind immediately conjuring images of Vestara's piercing gaze and that confident smirk she remembered so well from their brief encounters on Dromund Kaas. The idea that she had been in Vestara's thoughts, that she had made such an impression that the silver-haired beauty was discussing her so happily and publicly even these many months later, sent an unexpected thrill through her that she quickly tried to suppress.

"You're imagining things, clearly." Lana muttered, though her voice lacked conviction even to her own ears, which only deepened her blush.

"Uh-huh, sure I am." Vette laughed, clearly not buying it for a second and deeply amused by her attempt at denial. "Look, I've gotten pretty good at reading people, it kinda comes with the territory when you've lived my kind of life. And trust me, the way Ves talked about you? The way her eyes lit up when she mentioned your name? That girl's got it bad. And she thinks you've got a real destiny ahead of you."

Well, that much at least Lana knew was true, she thought ruefully, remembering the lecture the so-called slave had given herself and her childhood rival in the moments before that psychopathic brute had broken open the Dark Temple. Of course, that wasn't the only reason that she knew.

To her surprise, not long after Vestara's departure, said childhood rival had invited her to her estate and told her, begrudgingly it must be said, of what Vestara foresaw for her future…and what Lord Zash planned for Vestara as well. Lana had been furious, of course, and sworn to help the new heiress of House Luwian to prevent such a thing, and in so doing had made -if not not a friend, exactly- an ally. An ally that had been willing to give her a bit of advanced preparation for Korriban.

Apparently, Nicky had cared more for making sure Lana was 'sufficiently useful' to help protect her lover than tradition. Which had been…somewhat flattering, even if it had been a backhanded compliment at best. And the revelation, perhaps unsurprising in hindsight, that Vestara had been sleeping with Kela and Asmu-Nikal both on the regular had been delivered in a tone that was distinctly less than kind. In fact, Lana would go so far as to call it smug, cutting, or painfully direct.

She'd determined, then, that -unlike what Nicky probably wanted- she wasn't going to give up on Vestara. She'd harbored an interest in the other young woman since the moment that they had met, one that had only seemed to grow stronger from distance, and she was not inclined to let a potential happiness escape her. Especally not if it would make them both happy, because she had little doubt that she could make Vestara happier than any other woman. Not least because she wouldn't lodge any objections if Vestara had pets like this 'Kory' woman Vette had mentioned. Let her lover have all the toys she wanted, when Lana would be the one who held the coveted title of wife, would…

Vette watched with amusement and no small amount of arousal as the gorgeous blonde that was her new owner -unless she managed to piss of Baras or get the two of them killed trying to make him happy- drift off a bit into her own head. If she'd known that the other girl was this much of a romantic, she might not have said anything until they were safely back at the Academy.

She hadn't expected Lana Beniko to be the person to come for her, only known about her as a potential ally and protector if they met out in the tombs, because even Vestara couldn't have predicted this result. But honestly, Vette didn't think she could be much happier with the situation. The person that controlled her collar, at least for now, was someone that she could trust -as much as anyone could be trusted, anyway- and someone that she knew wouldn't try to kill, maim, hurt, or otherwise seriously injure either herself, Vestara, or Kory, if they should cross paths again.

Good.

Even if it might bring them trouble with Darth Fatass, it would be worth it if it meant creating a solid powerblock with her pretty little neck safely in the middle of it. Because if she couldn't be free and living a life of wealth of luxury, she damn well was going to get herself a safe, pampered life in a gilded cage with very powerful, very scary people protecting her.

Of course, to get that, she had to make sure Lana didn't get her day-dreaming head blown off before she could finish her trials.

"C'mon, Lana, we've got work to do, you know. Day dream about Ves once we're back safely, huh? I'll tell you all about her cock, her tits, and her sexual prowess then, so why don't you focus on finish the trials so that we can catch up to her." she prodded the would-be Sith physically and verbally alike, jolting her out of whatever reverie that she had taken herself into to try and protest, even weaker than before, that she wasn't interested in hearing 'all of that stuff', as if she hadn't admitted that she did not all that long ago.

"Mhmm, sure." Vette grinned, noting how Lana's protests lacked any real conviction and having far too much tweaking her nose. "Definitely not. Who cares about that massive lightsaber she's got hanging between her legs? Not you, right?"

Lana's cheeks flushed crimson. "You are insufferable."

"Part of my charm," Vette quipped, checking the charges on both of her pistols before peering around the next corner. "Three more up ahead. Want me to handle them, or would you like to work out some of that totally-not-real-or-present sexual frustration through violence?"

With a growl that was half exasperation and half amusement, Lana stepped forward, lightning crackling between her fingertips. The discharge that followed lit up the corridor in brilliant purple-white, the acrid smell of ozone mixing with the charred remains of what had once been three tomb raiders.

"Feel better?" Vette asked innocently, yipping a surprised laugh at the small flicker of lightning that leapt from a jabbed finger to dance across her ass, sharply stinging but causing no real pain or harm.

"Shut up and walk, damn you. Little brat." Lana grumbled discontentedly, stalking further in, leaving the delighted and gleeful lethan to follow her, already planning how next she would expand her teasing. Really, if she had known some Sith were this fun to play with, she would have started looking for one ages ago!
